I always made a correlation between ascension shards and jade. Maybe that was something they werr trying to go for.

The only rage I feel justified is over the darts not being changed fast enough and them not using the fletching table.

I made a suggestion in my initial post that the elf city should reside partly on some of the waves of crystal that formed during the singing of the giant seed. Also another good suggestion would be to use the crystal lantern idea for skiller plots. Maybe we could have places throughout the elven lands that. Offer us training plots. We could get crystalized mithril and adamant plots on top of the unpassable mountians. How about an elder spirit tree that can teleport us to all of the other elder trees? I was also thinking of a cool little idea of the elven lands offering us a daily event similar to the red sandstone. Maybe we could be offered the opportunity to create 'manna' as food. It could be something slightly better than rocktail soup and have some other added effect?

To be honest, and I'm only speaking for myself, I don't care if you were one of the first people to get comp back. On top of that, it takes no skill to retrieve it, you just have to hope you get lucky with scroll voyages. Stuff like this should only be a personal achievement, and trying to get people to recognise said accomplishment is quite futile. Seeking recognition wasnt really the point. My point was getting my upgraded cape back in a timely fashion. We seldome get the comp cape upgraded and i thought it was something exciting to reobtain. You are right though it doesn't take any skill. But being rude wasn't warranted.

I managed two scroll pieces on day one, one on day two, went days three and four dry and on the fifth day go my fourth. I think I am probably one of the first players to get the completionist sheerly from getting two scrolls in a day. I doubt anyone got their completionist cape before day three. Way to undervalue my achievement by the way. You should go back to the 200m xp thread if you want to act that way.

Oh I was also playing with a light creature idea. You could obtain a crystal lantern and use a sapphire, emerald, ruby, diamond, dragonstone, or onyx on it. Depending on what grade of gem you use you could get varying degrees of transportation or charges for calling the creatures.

This is a rough concept wity only a few elven clans shown. I also want to remind you that the enchange would be located around the tower of voices as a trading hub to emphasize the importance of the cities center. Elven city design Core concept: The elven city design that has come to mind comes from the concept of flash freezing water photography. Ideally the elven city would keep its crystaline retainer wall. The tower of voices concept would come from a calm water drop effect creating a very smooth sloping column of crystal with serens throne/residence being the droplet at the top. Each clan would retain their reminder tree which stands at the entrance to each elven clans home. Around each elven clans tree the crystalline 'wave' jutts up and outward. The wave of crystal emitted from the giant seed would have semicircle staircases 'sung' into it to allow access to each clans platform. Introduction cutscene: Singing the crystal city to life will be no easy feat. Using the core concept of flash freezing water photography we can create a pretty awesome and spacious city to house our seven elven clans. With that in mind we could use progressive imaging similar to the construction D&D, but with real build results. I would imagine the cut scene would be similar to flash freezing water photography, but with millisecond timjng to show progression. The elven city concept should look like an intense water ripple effect. Yet at the same time have a calm water drop effect at its center with serens 'droplet' home/throne at the top of what would be the tower of voices. The creation cut scene would involve a group of elves crystal singing at a magnificent giant crystal seed in the center of the elven homeland. The giant seed will after a time vibrate itself loose from its earthen nest and rise to the sky. While this is all happening the seed is shining brighter. As the song hits a deffening pitch the seed let's out a wave of light seemingly a beacon calling her children home. Then just as suddenly as the giant seed emits the flash of light it rockets full force into the earth. High Level Opportunities Even after banding together the seven elven clans there is still plenty of "house cleaning" that needs to be done. Plenty of work must be done to help reestablish the elven community as an elven haven and home. From examining several jmods takes on unlocking the elven city i came up with some interesting ideas. I came up with the idea that each clan should have a heightened level of prowess in certain skills. How this is unlocked I won't attempt to flesh out too much hopefully. I felt we could go one of two ways: Progression: players could attempt, with assistance, to sing objects into existence within the elven city. As they progress in the overall building of the city they could resing higher tiers of objects once certain criteria were met. Level-based: players could attempt, again with assistance, to sing objects into existance within the elven city. With this concept though success in access to higher tiers would be based on level. Note: I feel its important to put a "clan treasury" so players can bank easily no matter what clan they have access to. Clan 1: dedicated to nature and the harvest this clan is particularly fond of the farming, herblore and hunter skills. Here you can unlock elvish box traps that act as pre-smoked box traps. This particular clan is also home to several stalls and caches of seeds, herbs and secondary sellers that can be thieved - mind the guards. You might also find yourself lucky and nab a grand tree seed pod! You will also notice that there are patches that can be used so long as you can help the elves sing crystal farming tools. Keep in mind they don't take kindly to the crude farming tools outsiders use. Clan 2: dedicated to the art of war and fighting this clan is home of the finest crystal weapontry singers. Prove yourself worthy by singing higher level crystal weapons and gear. This clan just might see your prowess and offer you access to a random daily slayer challenge among other daunting tasks. Maybe they'll call you to confront Graardor for his attrocities? Or how about quelling the kalphite upsurge? Clan 3: home of the elves finest survivalists these elves have great respect for cooks, thieves, and agile players. You won't find a finer bunch of elves! If you find you are up to par they'll offer to teach you to use their 'radiant' cooker that offers you cooking AND firemaking experience - that is if you help them sing it to life! You also won't find a routier bunch daring you to make the nimblest of jumps and catwalks across the city to obtain objects they desire. Take to the elven streets in parcoure style as you hurdle yourself over their expectations. Should you prove yourself a nimble fingered thief some of the darker fellows might offer you a task of thievery in exchange for an extended reward for turning in your pilfered products. If you prove yourself a good little thief you might find yourself a finely crafted elvish router. The elves have their ways of getting where they want to be and now you do too! Elvish routers increase successful pickpocket and chest thieving rates. Clan 4: home of Serens most spiritually enlightened individuals. Here you will find the most skilled summoners, altar tenders and a newly founded sect of people claiming to be diviners. You will find that the elves managed to fuse elven crystal into an amazing structer for both culling the spirits and paying your utmost respect for the dead.

If you could do rough sketches of the elven city that would be amazing. I've been hopped up on pseudophen trying to kick this cold and all I could do is think about elven concepts.

Finally the RNG gods have shone on me. I got my 4th scroll voyage and sent it at 88%. Hopefully its a success. Then I am going to work on getting the leviathan ring crolls.

I'm not sure about their track records. I've been around since the dawn of time, but I know Tytn and Dylan came out with some awesome stuff. I think Tytn did amazing story work and Dylan was known for his puzzles. I wish Tytn was still around. Matter of fact I wish Jagex would contract older mods to come back to run dev and concept time for particularly special projects.

Honestly you couldn't have asked for a better mod to develope the elf city. MCL has had the best track record for content acceptance from the community. If MCL messed up the elf city I could cope and justify it as me not having an appreciation for something he didfor the city. That man has done such a wonderful job on everything he touches. If he 'messes' anything up its either because I'm too nearsighted or overly critical

Well then if you don't choose the elf city then you are resigning it to another vote regardless if they do it right or not.

Well let's look at it this way... when we both get our next successful scroll we will not only be re-comped, but also have a cape geared for both attacker and tank rolls. I really like that...

You do realize someone might have had a scroll voyage ready, used 2 adv rerolls to get 2 more scroll voyages, then done a random event and gotten another reroll/scroll voyage, thus getting all 4 scrolls in ~14 hours? yeah...Highly unlikely, but enough to crush my dreams.

Are they worth getting for anything? On a side note I like collecting BIS things. I've been thinking of buying them, but getting asc xbows is a higher priority. With the reefwalker cape and leviathan ring coming after t90 shields I think we might so some more tank heavy bosses. I am almost thinking buying them might save me money later. Opinions? Answers?

I didn't get my 4th scroll voyage tonight. I am so bummed... I wanted to be the first to comp with the tank/comp cape. I'll have to settle with knowing I'll be one of the furst players to potentially get it on the 4th day after release.

Honestly we don't NEED warehouse upgrades at this point. The tank armours would be fine to help nudge the subpar community into learning bosses with inferior versions. The superior versions are fine for those who are dilligent or who are more dedicated to PVM. Keeping both those players in mind having a higher flow of plate, chi and laquer is fine. The resources just keep adding up if you do end game voyages anyways. So now the tank cape and ring is just slightly harder to reproduce. The reason for that is it takes more time and effort to get up the resources to pay the trader if he offers koi scales or pearls. So with that we have a tank cape and ring that won't so easily succumb to market saturation. By that I mean farming trade goods via the trader and rerolls. Yeah I'm sure players will point out that they might have compounded the issue with the armours as well. But thw big issue we dodged is that a whole new class gear for capes and rings has been prevented from being just as mass produced for the community as the tank armours. So now players who enjoy tanking can enjoy the limelight as top notch tankers. Then as inferior rings and capes hit the market other players will have their time. I'm wondering when we might see some attacker rings that go over the imbued rings stats. I think that might be our next combat gear update. I hope that jagex might give us some t85 magic gear that's relatively easy to obtain... or at least the repair pieces like the polypore staff.

They've done it before with other famous RS yt'ers/famous players, namely angerfist. Typically these players who also know jmods sometimes get faster response times on their tickets as well. Their customer support system is still inconsistent. Yup, they have done it before. Though, there was a recent server crash (the Derptrolling incident), for which there was absolutely no acknowledgement on the part of Jagex, and no response at all, and in which people lost lots of money -- this was only last week or so, and there was another crash the week before -- I'm interested in seeing if they are going to parade their hypocrisy around for everyone to see so close to those incidents. Hell, Jagex barely refunded anyone lost items from the day Vorago came out, despite the fact they had a thread for users to describe their losses. Basically because many of the posters there were laying false claims. Its amazing how understanding something is when someone finishes a claim with a good description of what happened.

You make me so glad I'm comped so I know I'm getting a free reefwalker cape in stats when I complete the scrolls. I so want the new tank ring...
