Honestly out of all of the new rares they brought to us I think the black santa will be the most saught after. Also I feel that the retro armours might only be the bandos, armadyl, ans dragon. Maybe bronze-rune armours as a hat tip to the old folks here.

So from what MCL said he has an update to how spells work and from what he mentioned it sounds like he might have a pseudo-system similar to the macro system used in WoW for abilities or more particularly for how familiars act and how spells come into play. The one good use I see here is for the weakening spells.

Hm... I agree. I have been suggesting "stance" abilities that act the same way.

Then nobody would care.Why wouldn't they? An extra 5% on a measily 2k crit would be an extra 100 damage... then again you are somewhat right, but its the concept that matters. You would presumably use it and get in several othat attacks allowing it to have some kind of base damage output dependant on your rotation. I was also thinking of an ability that could buff the whole party, too, like that.

What if the new abilities were something like Armadyls/Bandos Warcry: Deal 5% extra damage for 60 seconds. 20 minute cooldown.

Frankly I am disapoointed that the harbingers of tuska masks are just for gaining xp. Then again it would be nice to see the masks become the combat counterpart to the ancient effigies. The difference is this time around they should require memories of fortitude (defense), cunning (attack), brutality (strength), stamina (constitution), spirituality (summoning), deftness (ranged), channeling energy (magic), clarvoyance (prayer) and prowess (slayer).

Yeah that's true because they are magical beings I think. They also stated they would most likely have a mahjarrat quest covering this. That Lucien picture is for the Top Trumps card set.

They are starting one of their trends like the posts from the hedge. They are doing "concept art fridays." These aren't any thing as far as update teasers. I personally would also not expect any concept art for anything other than released content. Edit: oh and as far as mahjarrat go - no, when they die their body and energy dissipates or gets obsorbed.

Apparently there are some wispers of what's coming december. Well at least one update. A mod said a couple days ago he was working on getting an update posted for december in the premier membership news letter. Now there are two choices. You have the christmas event or the slayer update harbingers of tuska update. Obviously christmas is coming regardless. So I think its safe to assume the slayer update is coming this upcoming month.

A t80 wand shouldn't cost that much. Asc xbow is fairly new so I would credit it a higher price. Drygores... ehhh ok, they have a good price.

Apparently he never took a simple economics class. The wands did not drop (by much) because nothing was done to change the supply and the demand remains as high as ever. They cost an arm and a leg because you can only feasibly get 3-4 kills per hour and it is a 1/40 drop. It needs to be much more common than that because the kills take so long. This is just like Jagex. Ask for suggestions and them blow everybody off. Pfft. No virtus wand, asc xbow and drygores cost an arm and a leg. You practically have to sell your soul for a siesmic.

couldnt shard prices go higher then the complete version? With people buying say 10 or 20 at a time when they get cash and make a shortage for people who try to buy the rest of the shards to finish an item from a split.Well yeah that is a good point I suppose. It seems like the shard system allows people the ability to basically put a "downpayment" on particularly rare items. demand in general shouldn't be an issue. It should just mean a higher price on shards or everyone keeps declining to split it up in shards and doing wholesale.

I mentioned it earlier in the BTS thread I think. 120 is a great number because it splits evenly with 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 10, and 12.

When they never set a proper pricing (especially if something is based off of existing things or idiotic like offhand ascension...) and takes months to catch up (or simply never does), then it IS a huge deal. And if you're going to mention overpriced, wand is still cheaper than the 120m+ virtus robe top/bottom, according to Jagex. Ok so it might not be completely accurate, but its not broken or made horribly ujderpriced. Besides the wand was overpriced before this. I wouldn't mind looking at this as an oportunity for players to get a somewhat fair grab at saving themselves money. Hell jagex probably priced shards that way in anticipation that they new system would lower prices a bit because people would be buying shards and not a complete item. Basically players wouldn't be saving money for a lump sum to buy the item. They would save to buy fractional pieces of the item.

Dat laziness. This update REEKS of being rushed. Oh right yeah the GE pricing is such a huge deal [/sarcasm]. The player base will eventually fix that through buying/selling. Give them a break. Virtus wand is sooo overpriced anyways.

Meh... Couldn't find teams for anything so I did some QBD and Nex mass CS. I got this so far in like a dozen kills or so.

I would be fine with 5 hours. But then again look at the first release of degrading armors and the rage that went on there.

I really do feel that the next rewards will require us to create disposable items. Maybe something to the effect of a polypore-like magic wand. The difference being we might need to collect things to charge it.

How about the notion that the dark lord is the evil creator god? That has some reason now for unleashing zamoraks fury and dooming the world. Also maybe the elves came from a world the evil creator god had an influence on.
