  1. Nice. About the guy messaging you, Koroki12. It's ironic, because I made 300k off 1 Santa from him lol. He sold me one 23.5M then people offered 23.8M. He tried to buy 1 back for 23.6M. :D
  2. He *IS* going to max out all of them, except he's maxing out the skill first which he wants his untrimmed cape in (Construction).
  3. Some nats? He would have to pass this task onto many generations before one of them finally finishes off crafting the last essence.
  4. Thanks for all the responses! <3! My most recent bank pic is on the first page. This is my FIRST day back on RS merchanting, after like a month. This is 3 hours of merchanting. Previous Bank Pic Today's Bank Pic

  6. Heh, are you kidding me? I love you all, and I read every reply. I can't say how I merch and skill at the same time, but I don't use W1. I use random worlds like World 141, depends which has the least amount of players. And I can still view forums. And I think I have a few old pictures from my ancient Photobucket account. This is the only old bank image I have, taken in around August 2006. This is my old tip.it avatar I made using my rares and wore it proudly.
  7. [i already have a blog, but due to being inactive for a few weeks, I decided to make a thread here] Hope you take the time to read and enjoy, thanks. ~ Background Information ~ Hello. As some of you may know already, I'm a pure non member. (By pure I mean never member before). My forum account is vapour, and my Runescape account is sina j. I live in Canada and am currently in grade 10. I'm 15 years old. I respect and appreciate everybody, and love to get to know more people. ~ History ~ During the year in which I was in grade 6, I kept searching for exciting online games to play. I was just a cub back then, and knew nothing about the online world. Something was about to change my life forever. One day in school, two of my friends were talking about a game and told me the website to start playing. I remember the day like it was just yesterday. They pronounced it ru-in-scape instead of rune-scape. And at first I thought it was run-escape. Anyways, I typed in ruinscape.com and at that time the link had "inappropriate" ads. While I was sleeping my dad woke me up, brought me to the computer and asked me what site it was. (Seriously, wtf, couldn't it have waited lol? :P ). I just told him it was a typo and went back to sleep. I got the correct link from my friend the following day, and here is when the adventure begun. I started in RuneScape "Classic" (RS1). I started after all the RS1 drops had occurred. Basically, RS2 came out like 6 months later. I was just a noob, didn't know anything, and was very happy when I had received free iron armour. I found a skull on the ground and thought it was rare. I had bought an anti-dragon shield from the general store for 20gp, and also thought it was rare. I remember both the kite shields and square shields looked the same. In my opinion, RS1 was a much better experience. I got scammed for the first time when I offered everything I had (like 1k) for a mask. He added like 10 other items removed mask quickly and we both accepted. I was so happy and danced around, but came to find no mask in my inventory. Then when RS2 came out, it was a new and exciting experience. All my friends and I thought it was so cool, everything. The new items, the music, etc. I started to learn more about money making. I bought my first rare (mask) for 700k. I also wanted god armour, and I used to believe that god armour kept on rising, because the value kept rising the first few months it was out. So I sold my mask and bought off god armour parts slowly. At the end, I payed 5.2M for Full Saradomin Armour. Helmet - 700k Legs - 1.25M Kite - 1.25M Plate - 2M Then they started to drop and rares kept rising. Here is when I realized I should get a rare first. So I sold everything, and started merchanting santas. I bought them at around 1.5-1.6M and sold them for 1.65-1.7M. Once I had 17.6M, I got my friend to post for me for a Purple Phat. Somebody said 17.8M, but I told him it was all I had. I had offered every single thing I had of value, and he accepted! I couldn't believe it! My first Purple Phat, thanks to Wolfpack558. I was so happy with it, never took it off my head. Then after a while I bought santa + full sara. I believed that I had accomplished everything I'd ever want. I made the mistake of lending someone I didn't know in real life my santa, and he took it. We were friends for a while, so I was depressed. Then I thought to myself. What if I'm able to make more money? I spent an entire 2 month summer like 10 hours a day merchanting yew logs with my left over money after selling full sara. By the end of the summer, I had a few M + Red Phat + Purple Phat. Then I had gotten addicted to merchanting. I merchanted every single item I could. Lets say I wanted rune armour to get 2 strength levels. I bought it 180k, used it, then sold it 200k. Then, for some reason, I fell in love with Christmas Crackers. I overpayed 15M for one. I got it for around 235M value from Enipeus (Used the account Aitolos at the time) when it was worth around 220M (Around 2-5M less than Blue Phat). My offer was Purple Phat + White Phat + 5.6M. I felt it was worth overpaying as there weren't many sellers. I was right. Within a few months it surpassed the value of Blue Phats by a lot. I got 99 cooking last summer, which is when I moved to my new house. I had a Red Phat + Cracker + 2 eggs + 5M at the time. Around this time is when Zoidnerd got hacked, which was very depressing. So I started to be more safe, not giving my rsn out. But after a while I felt it was lame to hide my rsn, so I started posting it and adding it to my profile. On January, I had reached my all time high, Green Phat + Purple Phat + Santa + Christmas Cracker + 56.4M cash! (Around 1.2B at the time!!) All of this was accomplished in non-members, and you can bet I was proud of myself. On Friday (January 5th), one day before my Christmas Holidays were over and school was about to start again, I was hacked. All my hard work and effort, 3-4 years of it, all gone. All of it. I only had 6k law runes left, that's all. You bet I felt sick to my stomach and was depressed and sad for a while. I felt like I was missing a kidney. The hard part was telling my friends about it. When school started they would all be like hey rich boy, what's up billionaire, etc. That made me more sad than finding out I had been hacked. I had so many friends, and some of them basically considered me no more than a noob after this incident. There you have it, my legacy had died. 3-4 years of playing, all gone on January 5th, 2007... or was it? On July 25 during the summer, I was bored. Then I had a sudden urge to see all my RS friends again, so I dug up through my closet and found the paper with my password. To my surprise, it worked! I changed the password and went online, and started adding my friends back to my list. (Yes, the hacker even deleted my entire friends list) In my bank I had 6k law runes + my random event stuff/useless junk. I sold all the laws, got around 2M, borrowed 1M from Ignafel and 2.5M from I Steele I for around 1-2 weeks to merchant. I had it going good for me, around 1-2M a day. Then the market I merchanted with died. So basically, I've been merchanting a lot and training woodcutting since my return. My plan was to get 99 woodcutting, get 1 month members just to wield woodcutting cape. But at 90 it started getting boring. It's been over 3 months since I returned. But I haven't been playing the past few weeks. So basically, I have been merchanting/skilling for approximately: 70 days These are all my level ups since my return: 80 -> 90 Woodcutting (+10) 54 -> 57 Prayer (+3) 57 -> 59 Crafting (+2) 69 -> 70 Defence (+1) 53 -> 54 Ranged (+1) July 25 - Total level: 1031 November 5 - Total level: 1048 Days of skilling (while merchanting): 30 This is my new bank since my return: July 25 - Bank value: 2M November 5 - Bank value: 135M Days of merchanting: 70 (The cash is 43M now)
  8. It's certainly going to lower activity in the forums, and there will be a lot more competition. But as always, everything has its advantages/disadvantages, so we will have to wait and see how it's like.
  9. A few. Like 2-3? This is while woodcutting and chatting on msn. I'll get back to RS soon. :D
  10. *Cough* sell your DFS and armour and burn all your cash on rares because by the time you return rares would have raised in value and the armour/DFS will have dropped in value.
  11. Not even close. 4 santas = around 90M 40M = 130M Purple is around 190M now. And when I buy it I need at least like around 10M left so I can still merchant.
  12. Check her profile. Unfortunately, it says: RSN: *Banned*
  13. for my ultimate goal of 2,000 total. You can't get 2000 total while wearing a skill cape? :P
  14. Nice, whats the point getting all these 99's and not wearing cape nub?
  15. Thank you for the bumps. rsn: sina j How did you know it was steel bars OMFG!!!!!1111 Nah, nice try though. Maybe next time. I have bad news for me. When I play something too much I get bored of it for a while. So I might gain interest in RS again like in a few weeks. :P I login and my nub friend says he got a purple phat from a quiting friend. I said "Ya, I'm sure you did." <-- this usually make them want to prove it - psychology. So ya he came and showed me, was depressing for me.
  16. Lol.. you trade her and go like 2 masks and 7.8m pwned. *10 seconds later* Umm I have phat. No response by you, and you end the vid. I think you got pwned there.
  17. Thank you. They had it in June, no wonder, I didn't play for a while including June. :XD:
  18. Can someone tell me how you know about the holiday reward? Was there a vote or something? Can someone please explain and post a link? Thanks.
  19. Where was this vote?
  20. I've been slacking off for woodcutting and merchant past 2 weeks, and probably a little more. But now I'm 90 woodcutting!
  21. Make 76 defense into 77 strength? That will be hard to accomplish.
  22. No, no, no, my friend. This is how it works. Let's say that there is a new hat that comes out, and it can only be obtained by fighting monsters. 1. Let's say people sold them for around 20M. That's what people are willing to buy/sell for on day 1, but they have no clues on prices. The demand is at its peak, as EVERYONE wants one to show off, since any new item is "rare" on it's debut. 2. More experienced players eventually get the item. They find out it can actually be sold for around 30M. The first batch of people that got them had no clues what prices were. But now it's more stable. 3. As the demand gradually decreases (many people that wanted them "overpayed" around the original date of when they came out), people are forced to sell them cheaper. Since there will be more sellers than buyers, the seller compete to sell to the buyer, for as high as they can. Whereas before, when there were more buyers than sellers, buyers competed to buy from the sellers, as low as they can. 4. The rate of price changed depends on the monster's level, the chance of the item being dropped by the monster, and how much the item costs. Example: Dragon boots: High level monsters, but apparently, the chance of dragon boots dropping wasn't all that rare. Many people averaged around 5 boots per trip. Dragon boots are fairly cheap too, compared to Visages (21-22M). The first batch of people that got them sold them for around 2-3M. But the more experienced people got 3M+ out of them. Since they weren't too expensive, more people bought them at a quicker rate. The demand declined shortly after, since most people were desperate to buy them, and were willing to overpay / outbid each other to buy them. Now the sellers have fewer buyers, but a greater amount of people got dragon boots from drops. They started to sell them cheaper everyday, to get rid of them. The price of dragon boots went from 2-3M to 3M+ in the first day. Now, a few weeks later, they are around 500k. Now, items that are harder to get (high level monsters and low chance of getting the item), and also very expensive, such as a Visage, has a slow rate of price change. It may take a few weeks or months for it to drop in value, but nobody can be sure when. People that are smart take advantage of the economy, either by merchanting, investing, or being there at the right time and place (aka fluke/luck).
