  1. Dungeoneering isn't a money maker but you can save money recharging you Chaotic Rapier/Longsword paying with tokens and cash isntead of just cash. Buy coal bags and alch them. Or is that profiting from magic? gem bags apparently have same alc half price which gets me wondering whats the most profitable item to alc? well i ahve 3m tokens...id only get 21m alcing up gem bags for alll that work - buy one confirm alc buy one confirm alc buy one confirm alc but just wondering lol
  2. Don't get me wrong, there is a weak correlation between DG exp and usefulness, but it is GROSSLY overblown by elitists. I can understand the 100+ requirement because the primal plate bind is huge, but honestly a 115 dger is not going to be much better than a 103 dger. By that point, you've done enough dungeons that you either "get it" or you don't. I mean, honestly, consider that 100 DG is more than max in ANY other skill. And yet, the vast majority of the DG community considers a "mere level 100" DGer to be a noob in that skill. I would say the correlation is strong based on my experience. I know people in the 80s who are better than 110ers, but they are very rare outliers. Your own experience may tell you differently, but you are also choosing your adjectives to make your posts as hateful as possible to people whose experiences tell them the opposite. I'd venture to say that at no point do you "get it" fully; even going from 190m to 200m experience you will become slightly better, even if one doesn't recognize what exactly better means in such a complex skill. id say its a medium correlation but 80-110 someone learns alot more about the skill itself and 120-200m exp its just getting better in thier own dungeoneering style keying people get better at the higher lvls and every dg that you key you improve your keying ability/style nonkeying i think is more about attitude lvl after the basics of the skill is learned......you can kinda see this like if your on the 20th map in a row with 4 120s when everyones sleepy and noone really cares about the map time compared to the first few maps also if with freinds compared to with randoms with freinds more incentive to accually try in dungeons especcially keying keying a friend or 2 that respect the keyers instructions compared to keying 4 random people that not sure if they will listen or noes.
  3. hehe i agree and half the top 15 isnt even going for 200m all =p
  4. accually most people still use rocktails but yeh cooking profits always end up with more raws then i had cooked when put the same money in .
  5. i wanna know too lol
  6. can keep flipping the same item after the first items have sold ubut lower margins so it makes nonbuyables while waiting for 4hrs to sell harder because to reap profits have to be constantly flipping throughout the day. =p
  7. people behind on buyables now accually have a chance and people with more time to play accually have a chance people that logged in only a few mins every 4 hrs will find thier way no longer works.
  8. no ure right end lamp shouldnt be used on a buyable its just the other skills in those pairs that make the buyables a reasonable choice. have to make more than 4-5m an hr to make the nonbuyable better if not rich the money saved is prob worth it especcially if the other skill in the combo isnt annoying to you because 1m-1.2m is the max that can be saved on the lamp but 48k slayer or 48k rc is worth alot more than that timewise. zarfot said u had to make less than 1.8m an hr to make it worth it to use on herb/pray which should be noone besides the lamp is like 40% of the effigy exp =p
  9. one effigy used on buyables saves 550k gp think about 100 that saves 55m and 200 that saves 110m 110m is quite a bit of money to save that was for con farm herb and firemaking and then look at the other skills in those pairs con - thieving - tezz is 200m i think- saves 150k farming - fishing - fish is afk and farming is failry expensive- saves 150k herb- hunter - hunter is fairly fast and is also free- saves 200k firemaking - cooking - pretty obvious choice and- saves 50k i personally choose these pairs adding smithing we have an effigy saving 629k personally i choose mining but mining is fairly afk and smithing saves an extra 80k/effigy and merch isnt completely timeless so getting instant 200k is better than 2-3 mins of hunter =p
  10. I would have to say WC with Ivy. You can basically stay at the same spot forever and only have to click once every 2-3 minutes + randoms... I'd reckon cooking would be, because there is a consistent amount of time inbetween banking and it doesn't cost any money. it definately is cooking it has 4x the amount of 200ms as any other skill id also say dg is soon going to be the 2nd most common in a few weeks just because the way the skill plays like a minigame
  11. Well hes just rc ing inbetween dungs, chill in cc and wait for row offers..etc and skill while waiting in cc tis what i do pretty sure lots of other pple as well, seems to be the best way to not waste time In'eresting...Wait Arib, what cc? S U O M I doesn't exist apparently... dungeoneering ccs
  12. yeh just have to see what pace he goees at or w/e
  13. but until thier is accually an expirience highscores i think good god 9 months is pleenty of time to get 120 for 2496 and then train exp...
  14. yah canceling garg, dusties, firegiants would improve rate a bit. canceling say dragons would decrease it
  15. exactly i had a few 4 effigy days and some 0 effigy days but in general its 1-3 a day and it does effect what task to choose to cancel or keep. effigies per monster is more accurate too like darkbeast, bloodveld, blackdemon, dragons, icestryke expect effigies but task like dusties effigies are rarreee
  16. that dgneering ;D
  17. yeh idk how they accually did that record as a bunch of people avg way more than 9hrs 20 mins a day
  18. basically it kinda shows who has some woodcutting exp /dg/theif/slayer nonbuyables are more an advantage as chart doesnt take into account money only absolute time spent skilling. 3650 hrs in a year at 10 hrs a day ye but think about it a year is a pretty long time for a maxed account to train exp... anyway on runetracker top 42 8 people have 100m for the month 13 90m 29 80m all 70m+ multiply those by 12 and see that a year can do a ton exp wise =p
  19. So true. Fun and sanity > dementia and obsessive compulsive uber-efficiency (but efficiency is really a misnomer here, since generally these methods are unable to be sustained for great periods of time, and can thus be classified as inefficient in the greater scheme of things) On a related note, I am now coining the term OCEUD - Obsessive Compulsive Uber-Efficiency Disorder tbh agreeed even things like mining while superheating not everyones going to accually do for all thosee to 200m personally id rather afk mining and superheat seperately =p
  20. meh cave crawlers are also a luckbased thing so after combats are maxed out and most likely a bit before it only the effigy that counts...and if on a drystreak for effigies would prob get demotivating especcially doing that all the way for 200m in a skill....
  21. fishing requuires much less effort tho.
  22. lol most people in rl dont have the time or patience for such high lvls....
  23. 1. Rs2 is not 8 years old, and why aren't you counting time in RSC anyway 2. 60k/hr should be 100-130k/hr (@another poster 200-300k/hr is too much even if he's only done fast skills to 200m) 3. 6 hours a day is not uncommon as an average. Hell a lot of people get in 80+ hours per week, so 40 isn't a stretch at all...and remember only a miniscule handful of players have even 1.5b exp let alone 2.34b Epic troll or legitimately clueless? Starting at 99 all skills going to 200m xp in all skills at perfect efficiency is about 307k/h average, so 200-300k xp/h average isnt much to ask Id think alot of top players have an avg of 100K+ since account creation :P I'll share my average xp an hour if it helps. Right now I have an average of 146k xp an hour (547 days on Alog), rising a bit with range but will fall a lot once I start doing slower skills soon. training slow skills will tank it ;( what slow skills u planning on paper?

  25. You know, alot of it is whether he is having fun or not. Personally I would rather camp a monster to 200m melees too because I really dislike slayer. Just because something is more efficient doesn't mean everyone thinks its "fun". It's better to enjoy yourself. I'm not debating what's fun or not. Drum said that it was inefficient to do slayer and he was wrong so I was only pointing that out. No need to get angry. This link is for you. i remember training slayer and spending a ton of time on it .......and my friend maxed melees in less than half the time back in 2008 on skeletons or something then did slayer back in end of 2010 with effigies =P it was definately waaaaaaaay slower a few years ago and not everyone values all skills equally nowdays training combat off slayer would be pretty dumb because with turmoil and extremes slayer is almost as fast for melees and with effigies the slower task have a high effigy rate so makes them feel a bit less suck but having high combat exp no slayer does not give an advantage in terms of hours to 200m all :S
