  1. Black hat never existed, its a fact that it doesnt exist that has been proven
  2. I've come to find that people who make these kinds of posts arent "old school". I also find it funny how only a few thousand people played then but it seems half of the community played then but took a break which explains their lack of knowledge, stats and items
  3. you still dont get it do you? one example dosent make what everything you said before ok. Try and get your brain around this - there are naturally gifted academics, right? some who even find school and then tertiary studies easy, right? does that mean that they can slack off? - NO. does that mean that they dont have to try? - NO. does that mean that they dont have to work hard for the results? - NO. So now apply this to a sportsman. no-one becomes a truely elite sportsman without working for it, even if they are naturally gifted, i dont care how much you say otherwise. too true. 1. You cant fail in sports if you win every game but dont practice, unlike in academics where if you dont do any work but pass every test it is easy to fail 2. Even after being presented evidence that people who are gifted enough never have to work hard you still dont listen. Who said all of these people worked hard? I still dont think that they are working harder than a kid who just got out of high school, working 3 jobs, getting 5 hours of sleep every night and is studying ever chance he gets
  4. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lebron_James He is the guy I was talking about earlier who had a rough childhood but was so good he never had to work constantly or faced obstacles, he is considered by many to be the greatest basketball player right now I never said these sports figures didnt have to do anything, all I said is that they dont do as much as anyone who has gone to college, they work a lot harder than these people ever will
  5. im just going to leave this argument at the fact that you wouldnt understand the game of cricket... these people (take mike hussey for example) have to work very hard, for years before they get selected in the australian team. Even then they are under constant pressure to perform and maintain thier spot. But hey, lets not argue, lets keep this post about the retirement of Warney. ok? looking foreward to the boxing day test!! :D ONOZ! THEYS HAVE TO WORK HARDER AND THROW THE BALL HARDER!!! IF THEY DONT GET BETTER THEN THEY WILL ONLY BE MAKING A FEW MILLION A YEAR!! ITS AN OUTRAGE!!!!seriously, do they have to work 3 constant jobs in order to pay school fees like a lot of people do who end up not even making as much in their lifetime as these players make in a year I can tell you play to many computer games. Your still living in dreamland! To be the best at what you do and to be at the top of a sport requires hard work and self discipline which is far behond what any Uni Student would have. People don't earn millions of dollars in sport by being natural gifted. They put hours and hours of hard work in (far behond your knowledge) to be the best they can be, and to be the best. period Just wondering, how do you know all of that? like I said earlier people have come out and said what they do is so natural to them that their life is incredibly easy with no challenges When I was in high school I was very good at CC, I was Varsity my freshman year and I won most events. It was so easy for me to do it, there werent any obstacles or pressure to do better or to work harder in any way I know that because for my age I am a successful runner and tennis player and I know what people have to do to be the best. Natural ablility can take you so far, but after that you must put in the "hard yards" to become the best. The hours of hard training they go through isn't make believe, its fact. You should read biographies of some famous sports stars, which explain what they have had to go through. So you don't keep on arguing and looking like an idiot trying to tell people that professionals were just born professionals, and didn't have to put in any hard work. Autobiographies really tell nothing, its not like they are going to say 'its super easy for me to do, no challenges' because that will make them look like a bloke. The guy who said he had no obstacles lost 3 sponsorships after saying that
  6. Exactly. Who gives a crap about them. It's your life. Live it to the fullest. You cant live your life to the fullest if all you do is cut your wrist :uhh: Seriously, what if you missed and cut an artery?
  7. I dont follow Cricket, I dont follow any sport so why would I care?
  8. I'm English and was born in Essex- I only recently moved to America, saying I dont know anything about Cricket isnt only an ignorant statement, its pretty stupid. I know a lot about cricket, ive played it, seen competitions etc. I just dont like it and dont think it is harder than any other sport, I actually found it to be rather easy
  9. again, all im hearing from you are stereoypes and ignorance. You have no idea about the game of cricket, or the Australian cricket team, period. Argument over. They work hard, they are under constant pressure, thier lives arent all peach and cream like you assume. Leave it, go away and fulfill your time by doing something else. totally agree. Cricket isnt any different from any other sport, if anything its easier because its not a physical contact sport. You act like its the most popular and most important sport in the world when only a handful of countries even have it as a sport
  10. OK, tell me something I didn't know about/was wrong about in that topic. The topic is gone now, but I can tell you that your general knowledge of it was very sketchy
  11. im just going to leave this argument at the fact that you wouldnt understand the game of cricket... these people (take mike hussey for example) have to work very hard, for years before they get selected in the australian team. 12. Everything just goes right over your head doesn't it blue - no wonder you got banned for all the Wii v. PS3 v. xBox 360 crap :uhh: I was never told why I was banned, I appealed and just got denied. I blame a lot of it on bias though, tons of arguements go on around here where respected people do the same thing I was doing (arguing with everyone and didnt give up) and arent banned, but not many people like me anymore. I even apologized because I realised what I was doing was wrong and guess what? that imbecile deleted it to try and make me look like the bad guy. The reason I might of been banned though was because I reminded a mod that he didnt have the authority to do what he threatened to do, if thats the case then thats just lame  I just wish these forums could be what they used to be
  13. then contribute something. The topic is about the cricketing achievments of Shane Warne. Thats it - any other discussion shouldnt be here. (im aware of the irony in my comment, but ive posted things about the actual topic beforehand.) your narrow mindedness really annoys me, not everyone who plays sport professionally has a perfect life, they have to work hard. Let me give you an example so you can understand what im saying - Glenn McGrath (australian test player, announced retirement today) grew up in the bush and when he moved nearer to sydney to play cricket, he had to live in a caravan. seriously, you should just drop this, its an argument of stereotypes and really getting annoying and childish. If he is a hero for living in rough conditons then does that mean most of Africa is are heros?
  14. Probably either PC, protection prayers in wildy, anyone who has gotten a high level by using PC or noobs
  15. Ok, so he has talent. But what's your beef? You said these sports figures have to work very hard to get where they are which makes them a hero, and I just kind of said any kid whos gone to college or finished high school has worked harder than most of these people
  16. I still have no idea what you are talking about, looking back on that thread I knew exactly what I was talking about. There is nothing there that is incorrect. All I see in that thread is what I have been seeing in this thread, you acting like everyone else doesn't know what they are talking about. No, you really didnt. The person who PMed me was someone I had respect for all through the thread because he was smart and knew what he was talking about, he and 2 others were the only people who ever knew what they were talking about and you werent one of them. When someone you think is supporting you says you had no place on a certain thread then you should take that advice
  17. I answered that by saying they were cheaper on Black Friday and other sale days Well' date=' unless you have figured out how to time travel, you still have absolutely no point. You can't find these 'cheaper than Wii' 360s anywhere, because there aren't any. Lack of knowledge? What the hell are you talking about? I won't even dignify that with a response, because frankly I have no idea what you are talking about. The day after Christmas many stores will have the Xbox for 199, I was stating that they are sometimes cheaper. When you say you wont answer my question does that mean you just dont have an answer? I mean on the Wii countdown launch, someone who agreed with you and disagreed with me said you had no place on that thread because of how little you knew about what you were talking about You, sir are an idiot. I thought most of the people on this forum were intelligent enough to know why saying that the Wii is selling more than the PS3 isnt a valid arguement, aparently I was wrong. THE PS3 HAD 260,000 UNITS AT LAUNCH, THE WII HAD A FEW MILLION! WHICH DO YOU THINK WILL SELL MORE UNITS?.How are people losing money? because they bought them retail price and are selling them for double the amount?
  18. 1. cars pollute and cause more "2nd hand smoke" than cigarettes 2.a month worth of nicotine patches cost as much as almost half a year of cigarettes for me
  19. It doesn't make any difference. It takes years of hard work for anyone to make it in the NBA, NHL, etc. as it probably does for cricket. Just get out already. I can name a few people who are pro sports figures who had no troubles in life, one example is a local basketball player who went from high school to pro immediately. He had horrible grades and basketball was his way out, he stated that he is thankful he never had to work hard at what he was so good at and that it was just natural
  20. They werent on black friday or other sale days That is an utterly pointless point to make. Example: There is a $2000 TV, and a $1500 TV. On Black Friday, the $2000 TV only costs $1000. The $1500 TV was an item that didn't go on sale. So you are telling me that the $2000 TV is cheaper than the $1500 TV, because it was cheaper on just one day of the year? Over the course of reading posts you make here you went from someone arguing for his side, to being an annoying troll, and now to a complete idiot. The question started off as I answered that by saying they were cheaper on Black Friday and other sale days You were one of the people on the original Wii topic that just aggervated me so much, you had a lack of knowledge about the subject and wouldnt stop persisting which is what kept me going. After the topic ended one of the people who I had been arguing with apologized and agreed with me that you had no place on that topic along with a few others who didnt belong there
  21. Just wondering, how does the sport of cricket differ from any other sport? cricket is played in few countries yet you are acting like people who play it are any different from any other sport, most english people I know hate cricket and I just asked an Aussie person and he said he doesnt care for it
  22. They werent on black friday or other sale days
  23. im just going to leave this argument at the fact that you wouldnt understand the game of cricket... these people (take mike hussey for example) have to work very hard, for years before they get selected in the australian team. 24. 360s aren't cheaper than Wiis. 360 Core is $299 Premium is $399. Wiis are $249. I've seen core for 199 on black friday evertywhere
  25. sports stars have to work seriously hard to get where they are.. think of mike hussey (if you were familiar with australian cricket, you would know who he is.) No, they really dont. If you are good enough to play professionally (like these guys are)it doesnt matter if they win or lose in school, they can just do what ever they want. They dont have to worry about paying fees for college, keeping up grades etc
