Games distributors generally get 1/3rd of the cost of the item, so in the case of a $600 PS3 they would buy it for $400. If you are referring to the estimates of how much the PS3 costs to make (the one which claims $840) then they are based on how much Sony pays for the parts - not how much an end user would. That's what analyst companies are interested in - working out how much it would cost an end user to make the device is irrelevant so they don't look into it. wasnt it you who posted the link that showed that it cost about $900 each console to make? even when buying in bulk like sony? people dont realise how much the blu-ray drive cost

Wii's are $250. PS3's are over $700. Overpriced. more like $499, but whatever. ignorance is bliss in these kinds of topics, dont forget that the PS3 cost almost $1,000 to make, they lose money on every console they make

You can play previous playstation games on it and actually DL them onto your PSP, so I could play the original Ridge Racer(thats example given from chairman of Sony) on my PSP that if you ask me is HUGE

I have one but no games :? The place I got mine wasnt selling any games so I went to Best Buy and decided it was best to wait a week to get some games It has a kind of confusing menu interface, its bascially a PSP but with more options. The controller is lighter than I thought it would be and it has no buttons, the buttons to eject and turn on are similar to that of a microwave, you just lightly touch it

But Jagex knows that would be a logical time to release it because they know that a large majority of their users will be able to play their game more. Updates as big as this one will be released early in the week incase they need to fix any bugs or anything

I'm sure it has an HDMI input somewhere, you may have to buy an adapter though

Most people say it doesnt matter but very few people have HDTV, most had EDTV which is a huge difference. I personally never noticed too much of a difference between them until I recently got my PS3. I have a 61" DLP 1080p HDTV and it is truly amazing :shock:

So if the PS3 had games that could be played by anyone, and no adult games, you'd still buy the PS3, right? Thats about as poor a point as you can get. I doubt it, there are a few non-adult games I like but not enough to spend $500 on, I would just get an Xbox um.. define "adult" games... because right now, you seem more like a [Not apropriate] addict thean anything else :shock: Games such as Call of Duty, Star Wars etc. I'm not talking about games like GTA(although I do love the free rome it provides). I used to NEVER play video games, I just started playing games that had a theme I enjoyed (Star Wars), then I started playing other war games. I guess you could say that I like to play games where you kill people or play online, something that Wii will never provide

the blu-ray drive alone cost about $800, very few consoles are overpriced if any, these companies make their money on games, not consoles. research before you speak But a lot of those are fake, a lot of people are gonna get messed over on it with paypal scams but I dont feel one bit sorry for them. A lot of my friends wanted the console really bad but guess who got it instead? the [wagon] holes who bought it to sell on Ebay. there was a recent poll at the local high school of who is buying a wii and 6 were buying a wii and 79 said it looked cool but arent going to waste money on it about 1600 kids go to the school. its been so hard to not rub it in peoples faces on here who said Wii would dominate and the PS3 would bomb
