Cannon - Is it really "Noobish"?
You said "to hell with 'em", and didn't bother to find a world where the least amount of people would be impacted by your cannon. Uh no. This was my first time using a cannon. So I wasn't quite sure what to do. But now I have a better understanding of how furious of a reaction I get from using a cannon in a world with people. So I switched to quiet worlds. But is it right for people to ignore me because I use a cannon? Like if there is one person in that world, we say hi, we talk a little bit, then I set up my cannon. They are like "aww man." Then I ask them some level questions like... "What is your strength level?", "What is your range level?" ect. They don't answer. Immidiately after I take down the cannon, they instantly want to talk to me. It just doesn't seem right.

What is your reasoning behind this assumption?

Cannon - Is it really "Noobish"?
I'm with you on this one. I also switch to find an empty world, I do think that it is pretty rude to plonk down a cannon in a really populated spot... Make mine a third vote for "you can, but that's really rude and lazy of you to not hop a little to find a less than populated world." I'd bet dollars to donuts that you like doing it in a popular world, annoying people, thinking you can "show off" to those that don't have one. Does doing that make you a 'noob'? Well, I don't use that word. But it does make you the kind of rude, anti-social person I'd never want to be around. If you are refering to me then no. I don't like populated worlds. Before choosing a world I try to pick an Isolated world on the list, and go there. I do not show off my cannon, there is nothing to show off. 3/10 times I will go to a world and there is a cannon already there. I am just using it for the xp. Not to make everyone mad and be rude.

Cannon - Is it really "Noobish"?
This week I just bought a cannon and cannon balls. I am all pumped up because I have never used a cannon before and my intentions were to get fast range xp. So I went to my favorite place to train, rock crabs. Not to my surprise, the place was flooded with people. A few people say hello, or hi to me and I say hello back of course. As I set up my cannon I ask them how they are doing or how their day is going. Immidiately they see the cannon and they say.... "bad now." I am like... alright. People through-out my session come up to me and say, "Cannon Noob", or things along those lines. Am I really a noob for using a cannon? Common Phrases Used: (With my responses) 1. Cannon Noob! - Alright. 2. Why don't you world switch? - Why don't you world switch. 3. You are being rude, you are screwing up everyone's xp. - I have a right to fast range xp, you can world switch if you would like. 4. Take it down just for a second please. - (Sometimes I do for a few moments.) Why? You know I am just going to put it back up sooner than later. 5. Use knives/bow/arrows. - Cannon xp is much faster. Those are the top 5 responses for using a cannon. Why can't I use a cannon without being a noob? Is it really noobish to use a cannon? I personally don't believe so, what does everyone think?

He's right \ . The :: pretty much is used for admin commands. Normal players can't use them, don't try. :XD: .

High school....
Haha, def. don't do that! Anyway, Highschool from a work standpoint, is a lot. But from "getting beat up", if your well know/in a good group of friends, that will never happen. People at our school fight for the stupidest things. And most of the fights that go on are people from different schools. If you really are worried about getting hurt, then work-out. Become strong, so if a time ever comes where you are in a bad situation, you can defend yourself.

Farmers Get Owned (At Least On Ebay)
It means nothing for the price of rares. This didn't stop the gold selling at all... Like someone said a few posts above me, most of the Ebay pages were a link to another site which sold gold. There are dozens of Black Market sites out there they sell gold, this barely even made a dent. EDIT: Offtopic 300 posts woot. \

nooope
Lol, just noticed that. But nice pure and main :). 8/10 for main. 7/10 for pure. (Very good start, keep it up) ~̢̮â¬Å¡ÃâÃÂ¥Kyle̢̮â¬Å¡ÃâÃÂ¥~

Andrew's response to autoing
Actually you can run up to like 6-12 at one time, it's called Silent Mouse, although it is pretty detectable macros are still able to have multiple accounts running at the same time. I would not name programs, it's against the rules of these fourms... anyway, never heard of it. Probably very easily detectable anyway.

That's actually quite incredible lol. Here in Illinois we had a -30 Degree Wind Chill Factor and still had school :x . My second period class was 45 degrees. And I hear some rooms were 10 degrees!

Area 51 (Alien Land Discussion)
Yeah I saw that too. I am not completely sure if it's so top secret to the extent of aliens/alien aircraft. But there is definately some VERY experimental aircraft/weaponry that gets tested around there. Probabley why it's out in the middle of no-where, so no-one knows what new weapons they are coming out with next 8-) . I don't know why they don't release it though, one day there is going to be some editted footage of from inside that building and show "something" that really isn't true. So the government should just settle down the rumors before they get WAY outta hand. That sure has a lot of missing "labels" on a few odd buildings. And so what if it appears like that on the outside? You just have to know that Area 51 is all underground, there HAS to be underground buildings and tunnels that no one except the workers know about.

Andrew's response to autoing
True, but proxies now-a-days that actually work on RuneScape are very, very limited. They have to find "High-Anonymity" or "High-Anonymous" proxies, which are very hard to find. Lots of them are used by the government.. +1 Couldn't agree more. To be honest i doubt Jagex would lie about the amount of accounts that are being banned. What you have to rember is that macroers have scripts that create accounts, as the average macroers life is around a day before they are detected and banned. In this time they power chop to 60 and then get as many yews as possible and put them on a mule account and the yews are passed from account to account before they end up on the selling account and are sold. You sir are wrong on so many things. Jagex does lie sometimes, to give the general RuneScape community what they want. There are so many whiney, uneducated kids out there that whine for the banning of autoers, macroers, hackers, whatever the hell you call them. Exaggerated. I believe that over half the accounts that are banned for macroing are falsely acussed, but Jagex never admits it. They discriminate against all level 3's. As you can see in the main thread on the RuneScape official fourms, he says... "Why do you think the vast majority of the accounts are level-3 these days? Because they just made them!" Not true! There are tons of skillers out there and tons of people that DON'T macro. Some people say, oh, well you can tell by the name of the person or if they don't respond! But what if they have a bad taste in names? What if they have their chat turned to off? What if they are browsing fourms? What if they are PERM MUTED?? Wrong again, you CANNOT! run 30 bots on your computer at the same time. And account creators would be faulty, because Jagex makes you stop creating accounts after making around 5 in a row.

Farmers Get Owned (At Least On Ebay)
Joke as in a "haha funny" joke? if so, the person does no own the rights to the joke and therefore cannot sell it. This shouldn't be allowed either. However, if someone payed for rights to the joke...then I guess thats fine...But that might cost more then the account your selling :-s What if they made the joke up themselves? Then it probly sucked XD Anyway, if i was to ever buy gold, why not from the hundreds on the various ads that populate other forums such as runescapecommunity? Because, believe it or not, people don't know about it. Also, they are wayy overpriced. Naw, i rarely hear about people buying it off of ebay, its more along the lines of buying from ad sites (which i do report for XD) And wakka, as it is a start on sites that dabble in everything, its not going to stop the hundreds of sites that deal only with MMORPG gold and even only RS gold. As these sites do not have anything else to deal with, they can't do what ebay did, or they would be out of business :-k And how do you know its expensive :-s What I dont understand is why Jagex doesn't shut them down, they aren't hard to find or else they would not make good business, its as simple as a Jagex staff member googling it or clicking one of the ads. I heard Jagex had some lawyers, Just sue there wagons to last tuesday  I am sorry to say that is not possible. I have visited these sites before, I have investigated myself. Two main reasons. 1. In the Terms of Service for these websites (which you HAVE to agree too) it clearly states NO ONE affiliated with Jagex may enter/create an account on the site, it is infringing on the Internet Privacy Act or something. So Jagex would be doing something Illigal. 2. Some sites ban all IP address's from Britian! Since Jagex is stationed in Britian, they cannot even access the sites and ban the accounts being sold. Those are the two main reasons. Yes but what they are doing with selling the gold is also illegal. They are selling Jagex's property (the gold). Jagex clearly states that all the items in the game our theirs and therefore those sites are profiting fomr things they dont own. Off Topic:wow this quote is getting long :XD: Yes, but that is the "game" rules. The terms of service state that it is violating the Internet Privacy Act, or something along those lines. These are government rules. And I am afraid the government's rules over-power the Jagex in-game rules.

Yeah all those kinds of "loopholes" were illegal too its still account sharing, and bannable on runescape. although you can sell a joke and say the first person to buy this joke for $50 get 10,000,000 rs gp free That's exactly what they do.

Farmers Get Owned (At Least On Ebay)
Someone on IRC said something about it, I can't locate it in there actual rules but here are some articles I found on it from googling it: http://technology.guardian.co.uk/news/s ... 62,00.html http://news.com.com/2100-1043_3-6154372.html http://news.softpedia.com/news/eBay-Ban ... 5809.shtml All virtual sales have been banned with the acception of a game called "Second Life" for reasons that I don't know. I'm sure its in the rules somewhere, There are alot of them and I don't have to the time to weed through it all :( . That's because all in-game currency you have to buy with real money. And EVERYTHING in that game is player-made, it is a very unique game. It's quite complicated to build objects and stuff. It is quite fun though. Anyway, players sell "objects" they make to other players and they charge SecondLife Currency, which is just as good as Real Money :).

However, if someone payed for rights to the joke...then I guess thats fine...But that might cost more then the account your selling :-s They could have also created a joke, no matter how lame it is. (Yes a "haha" joke.) And also, there is no way to prove that you made that joke, or it is copyrighted by someone else. So I am afraid that if Ebay can't find the joke online/copyrighted, then it's perfectly legal :? . hmm, I would have thought it was the other way around. in order to sell something that you don't actually have (a material object), you would have to sell the copyrights for whatever it is (in this case a joke), you can't just sell words :-s Yeah, what you say makes sense. But unfortunately, in this case, you can just sell words. And also, I guess you could give "credit" (i.e. a website) and that would be sufficient enough.

Secret P2P Macroers?
Everyone has to calm down about this macroing stuff! It's getting out of hand. Not everyone macros. Statement 1: If someone came up to me saying "Yay Snowday!!1" I wouldn't think anything of it, I personally probabley wouldn't have said anything either. Like you said, it was in the morning. Sometimes I am really tired when playing early in the morning or late at night, so I am to lazy to type something unless the comment is directed directly at me. Statement 2: I don't like when people stereotype low levels. Low levels have a right to not do combat skills and fish/mine/smith/etc. And cheap armor? Classist! Statement 3: Highly unlikely that their macros logged them off. I can think of three possible reasons why they logged off.... 1. People browse fourms/do homework/get food or stuff while fishing. It's a very slow boring skill. So they might have been inactive for so long that they are automatically logged off..... 2. They are perm. muted and cannot talk. They fear of being reported, so they log off..... 3. They might have been annoyed with your stereotypical statements and logged off. I don't mean to attack you personally. I am just tired of these threads. (But yes, the threat of macroer's still exist.)

OK it is ON!! Superbowl time!!

Do we expect too much?
Most of us expect instant gradification. RuneScape was designed to be difficult. If that means killing a few thousand monster to get the drop you want, then so be it! It's all based on luck. RuneScape not only tests your skills of decision making, but also tests your patients. Can you stick with something? Or will you quit. This game was not designed for the younger ones. (Or the immature ones  )
