Two weeks of QA for a quest that took 3 months to develop? That actually explains a lot. The two weeks includes any coding that developers need to adjust, gameplay adjustments, bug fixes, et cetera are all lumped into the same 2 weeks. No wonder there's so many bugs. QA should take at least twice the time of coding, if it's being done right.

What do you do while waiting? I'm done with the minigame for now, having terrible luck getting the captains as a customer and when I do, it's just gems or something. Log out and read forums. Very inefficient, but oh well. :P

Yeah, I'm canceling all but the pilots, Ninto, and Daerkin, though. It's a pretty fun minigame, but I'm already 99 cooking...

Actually, it is. This is the way I saw it explained by someone else... A common practice for programmers is to use only single digits instead of decimals for experience, i.e. 1 xp=0.01 xp when they are coding. So the java limit of 2.1b stops this. It's only 200m instead of the actual max is for aesthetic purposes. Yeah, that was probably a little confusing. And that's something they can't solve? They can make an entire new game, but can't work out decimal point? Ouch. :roll: They can solve it, but the only way to solve it is to make each 32-bit value take up 64 bits instead. There's no way to do this otherwise. However, that would double the storage required for every single character, for something that only a tiny minority would use. They looked at it, and said that it isn't worth it. There was even a question asked about it in MMG's live Q&A.

Thanks, Hartlar and Outsanity - those are the types of things I wanted to see. So it's pretty confirmed that heads and visages are "Bonus" drops, so I wonder how long until someone gets both KBD Heads AND a Visage. Or Visage, Heads, Clue, Charm, and Med? :P

I've been wondering about a pet theory of mine, and it is in regards to the drop system of Runescape. We all know that when you kill a monster, your drop is generated, based on many factors. What we do know is that there is a general droplist (with wheels or what have you) that is used for calculating drops, and there are many other items that can drop that are not on that general droplist. We know Clues, Visages and Abyssal Heads appear as such bonus drops - when you receive them, you get a normal drop alongside it. The bones and furs from the most recent quest are also an example of a bonus drop - they appear with whatever drop you had before. I am, however, curious as to whether anyone has ever gotten a rare drop with a visage/head/clue, and whether anyone has any picture. It's a very rare occurrence, of course. Of all visage drops (1 in 10k or so), you'd also have to have the luck to get the rare drop, which can be up to even another 1 in 10k. Statistically, this would happen about one in 10 million kills, but I've never ever heard of anyone getting, for example, a Visage and Dragon Legs from a Steel dragon. Does anyone have any experiences like that? Pics would be nice, too!

Black Demons allow you to cannon them to get some of the fastest Slayer xp in the game. It's a loss of money, but worth it in my opinion. Black Dragons give you the option of hunting the KBD or powering through the task with Babies. If you choose the KBD or regular Blacks, you get some nice hides, bones, charms, and a chance for a visage.

I keep over 2000 points on picking and choosing my tasks based on a whim. With that many points, even if I get a streak of say, 5 tasks I don't like, I can cancel them all and focus on the Spiritual Mages, Dark Beasts, and Dagannoth. :P

I bet my money on Rag and Boneman 2 really soon, he totally avoided my questions, worth a try though, not even a little spoiler in there, was hoping he'd name a few skills content was planned for, just the skill name no specifics :cry: That's basically what I asked him - we'll see if he answers me.
