  1. So using Chinchompas in pest control might be a good option for you.
  2. What items or "markets" (herblore, smithing, farming) that used to be hot sellers have cooled off? What market have outright "died?" Thoughts and opinions, please.
  3. Two questions related to slaying for dollars Is the money made on white knight armor sales worth the investment in time it would take to kill all those black knights? What is the market for Granite shields looking like? With the new granite armors, there is a call for them, but with the new troll killin area up north, I suspect the market will be flooded. Any thoughts?
  4. One word of caution, you need 50 agility to be able to buy the stethoscope, however I've not been using it and have fair luck. The real plus is the high respawn rate and the gems as reward. The safes are faster then cakes and you'll get more craftable gems from them then mining at shilo rocks.
  5. As a topic for debate, what would be the pros and cons of allowing players to recycle items? For example, players could burn strung/unstrung bows for slightly reduced firemaking exp or melt down metal items for a slightly less amount of metal bars--one iron plate recycles into three iron bars. Yes, I know that the odds of this occurring in game are so low as to make this impossible, but are your feelings on the idea itself. Moreover, more importantly, how do you think the game would be affected?
  6. running 1k white berries in wildy
  7. well the tree patch in grand tree is near the bank, and you could plant a maple there...
  8. Do what I do, run. The tip.it map is very good, and it can help keep you from being boxed in.
  9. Now in the correct location... Okay, thanks to school, I am in need of a last minute idea to present as a game for my library group tonight. We've already done scavenger hunts, hide and seek, and "guess the object." I have a mix of members and non members so a minigame--other then stronghold of security--is out. Any thoughts on something I could run for the kids that would be entertaining?
  10. would iron throwing knives work as well, or does it have to be a magic short bow? Myself I've been waiting to do MM till 50 agility, but it appears my stats might be quite able to handle it.
  11. does this mean noted bones can be buried?
  12. I am tempted to try using a friends alter for bones, but I am curious how long the burners stay lit before they need to be redone? If you leave the house do they go out?
  13. So I have 45 RC and have been crafting nats via fairy rings and frankly I'm booooooored. If I see those jungle spiders one more time I'm going crazy. Now I would like to try the abyss, but I have a real allergy to dying. I hear dragonhide gives a decent mage protection, but what to wear? I have green and red (though not enough ranging level--52 ish--to wear red). I know blue and red give more protection then green, but do those colors make you a bigger target? I'm willing to spend the next few weeks plunking rock crabs, except if wearing red d-hide be a big ole flag that says Hi, please shoot me! Any thoughts?
  14. But if you were not mining, chopping, fletching, or fighting where would you get the materials needed to merchant? So lets say you buy the level 99 skills, does that make the game over?
  15. Which is why they probably put it there in the 1st place.
  16. I've an oak planted in the Gnome Stronghold patch, and I'm looking to cut a massive amount of trees for construction. Do farmed trees regenerate faster then reg. trees? Also is there a limit to the amount you can cut b/f the tree stops respawning?
  17. So what's keeping them at 300? If the Abyss moved beyond the wildy, or lets say that grove of trees near shilo moved, then what?
  18. Okay. Why? What makes you agree with it? It is not enough to agree or disagree, but more that in here the why behind the answer is more important then the answer.
  19. However, to play devil's advocate, do ratings honestly matter? Certainly in terms of mining, a high skill will beat a lower, but apart from wilderness combat, players don't directly compete.
  20. It came to me that much of RuneScape is about time and money. To level, it takes resources. These resources can be bought with money--buying 10k maples--or time--chopping 10k maples. The art of the game seems to be finding the economic sweet spots whereby the items you purchase can be converted back into equal or greater amounts of cash. However, much of the traded material turns into an economic backwater. I have seen noted drops of thousands of unstrung willows, and of hundreds of tiaras. Construction, designed as a gold sink, is almost explicit in how its suppose remove money from the game. What would happen if there were another gold sink? What if players could purchase skill lamps of exp for in-game currency? I realize that ultimately the goal of the game designers is to get people to start playing member and keep them playing for as long as possible, so this idea is unlikely. But for the purposes of debate: How would directly purchasable exp affect the game? Would it ultimately help or hurt the game?
  21. But wouldn't lower nat costs benefit all parts of rs society. The bottleneck of fletching and smithing is the cost of nats. Wouldn't the "rising tide raise all boats?"
  22. If you're a low level or poor player, wouldn't you try to get laws for as inexpensively as possible. And to answer your question on fast crafting, Astrals on Lunar Island might be an options since the ess mine and alter are so close together.
  23. The herblore secondary market seems in flux after the skill cape mania wore off. What would you suggest are the top 4 secondaries to gather and/or merchant?
  24. A little off topic in advice but, I would suggest the Fight Pits rather then duel arena, that way you can earn tokkul while fighting.

Rogues safes, though I would recomend having 50 agility as to be able to buy the stethoscope from the shop. Sadly potting to agility 50 isn't allowed nor is trading from other players. It can come and go in waves, some time you can be on a real hot streak in terms of gems other time it can be a warm streak where you're successful, but you justget coins. Failures do damage, but with food and a careful eye on your healthbar you should be okay.
