  1. plus flowers are pretty!
  2. Well for one thing, the game needs more moneysinks. I don't quite understand why certain shop are always empty of products. If you have a product in a shop always at zero, why even have it sold in the firstplace? Many of the big ticket items are thus, b/c you can only get them from other players.
  3. so can bob the cat from the quest be in wilderness? My ammy says north, but the only north he could be in is wildy. I'd rather not go there unless I had to.
  4. make sure you get boots, gloves, and a cape, they provide a small amount of protection, and are worth seeking out.
  5. but keep in mind superheat only smelts 1 ore per cast. It isn't always the most economical spell.
  6. Strangely enough, for the bulk of my 30's I used the exp reward from "One Small Favor." I would suggest tears of Guthix, and other quest rewards as an inexpensive means of leveling construction.
  7. However to alch that amount of plates requires 1k natures, 5k iron ore and 10k coal. The costs of which--assuming you don't mine and craft your wares--works out to a little over 2.3million. Even if you craft 1k nats and mine all that iron, you're still 300k in the hole. Now you might mention the blast furnace, and yes that does reduce the cost of coal by half (still 750k for all that coal), however the cost for noting and unnoting coal and iron ore is a significant drain. Smithing as a moneymaker, like the hyperinflation in RS is a myth.
  8. Not to hijack the topic, but do runners ever take payment in airs rather then coin?
  9. Without using the abyss, the best alternative is to use the fairy rings. To use them you'll need to finish all the quests leading up to Fairy Tale Pt 2, and then start FTp2. You do not need to finish, the quest to use them though.
  10. I dislike PKing, but I respect a well written guide. 10/10
  11. One thing to consider in terms of fires strikes is that fire runes can be dirt cheap, if one looks around. Flesh crawlers in P2P SoS drop fire runes, and one of the best best power-leveling runecrafting methods involves the fire alter. So many players may be sitting on vast stockpiles of fires and are looking to move them.
  12. if you are going to be ranging, make sure you get the arrow backpack from "animal magnatism" Trust me, its worth it.
  13. slayer is good for the double dip of exp. My favorite place is the dungeon east of arddy. There are two ogres under there that drop decent seeds and big bones.
  14. Faster even then the dorgshue[sp] mine/bank chest under lumbridge castle?
  15. Seconded on the antipoison and food. If you get caught, the monkeys will damage you, even with prayer on, and even level one spiders will attack--and poison. Strange fruit are a good idea for the dungeon, much of the dungeon (which you have to take two treks through) I ran through at high speed. You have two tactics for the dungeon--no armor and weight reduction--or armor with a high prayer to slow your drain. Ranging the demon from far away is a good idea, but watch your prayer and health. Follow the suggestions of the walkthroughs, from multiple sites, and be prepared to be killed (don't bring anything, that you aren't absolutely positively sure you'd be cool loosing). A good source for sharks are Mogres.
  16. So with the ferrets, you suggest, catching them, but *not* then catching rabbits?
  17. I've run into the problem with my iron mining, that I'm one hit mining. Tricky part is the ore isn't respawning fast enough to deal with my speed and thus its throwing my whole rhythm off. Any thoughts on how to slow myself down, or other ideas to help me get my groove back?
  18. Thanks, I suspected as much. I've been trying my hand at merchanting and right now it seems low profit "safe bets" such as ess, flax, or gold ore are a better bet.
  19. Okay so just about every guide suggests smithing cannonballs as a means of moneymaking. However, I never see people in the forums trying to buy them. I ended up burned trying to sell iron knives at a profit, so before I try my luck at cannonballs, I figured I ask. Are cannonballs as good moneymaker?
  20. On the other hand, they want to make money. And if you think about it, they make the same money off of a player that uses an hour of server time a month, or 10 hours a day of server time. So ultimately, they make "more" off the player that pays monthly, but plays the least. If you "buy" in cash in one shot, what it would take in months of game time to get, the company comes out the same or perhaps even ahead.
  21. On the heels of my Purchasable Skills debate, and the news that EA is selling unlockable content, perhaps a discussion of the idea of officially sold content is in order. What would the effects on the game and community be if Jagex themselves started offering in-game items (exp, gold, items, etc.) purchased via real-world currency? Please, this is not a debate about, how you feel about this idea, but exploring the effects of such a thing occurring--good and/or bad.
  22. Pickpocketing farmers is good, my suggestion is to consider the Rekalla. Up there, (if you've started the fremmy trials) you can trap fremmy in their houses and pickpocket them (65 exp). There is also a quick spawning 10gp chest (7.5 exp) and a slow spawning arrowhead chest, in swenson the navigator's (150 exp). I do a round of arrowhead chest, then pickpocket pickpocket pickpocket, 10gp chest, pickpocket, arrowheadchest. At about level 50 I switched to safes in rogue's den. They have a quick respawn and the gems aren't bad either. Just be warry of damage. One thing to keep in mind, keep your Agility roughly co-equal to your Thieving, since ultimately they depend on each other.
  23. I agree, cockatrice drop these really frequently - don't forget your mirror shield! More frequently then Hobgoblins? Interesting...
  24. If space were tight, which room(s) would you consider the 1st to go? Which rooms have you found, you just aren't getting anything useful out of, that--when you started--you though you would use all the time?
