  1. yep, thats a good method, but you need to change worlds a lot. ~Ddaanniiellh Yeah, that's my problem. At my level there's a max of 6 grapes in the chest. Given my need for about 1750 grapes, that's about 292 world hops
  2. Making wine seems to be a good way to level cooking, but the real bottleneck is getting the grapes. I've seen mention of people buying grapes, but not a lot of people selling them. What is a reasonable rate for buying grapes? Is it possible even to find 1-2k supplies of grapes out there, or would it be "quicker" to level with lobsters or some other cooking method.
  3. I know this is more some questions then a manage thy kingdom post, but here goes. With the new grimy/clean herbs, is anyone considering switching over to herbs? If so, how much? Also, is the tree seed market slowing down and/or the zybez prices off? From my last round, I found no takers on acorns, or any of the mid-level seeds such as pineapples, currys, or calquat. Anyone have any ideas what's going on?
  4. What are the rough costs per coal to unote coal on the blast furnace world? I know that the coal cost varies on the supply stock, but I'm trying to eyeball the rough costs of using the blast furnace, with the min/max note price on coal.
  5. I'm just about to brush 70 crafting and I'm looking to merchant jewelry. What "sells best" for each level of jewelry, from sapphire to diamond. For example, should I make recoil rings or bracelets of clay; str ammys or rings of forging?
  6. If members, best suggestion is making gold bracelets and high alching. The runes pay for themselves and you make 30gp gold in the process.
  7. There are two ogres under ardy in the family creast dungeon. While not super close to a bank, they are level 53 and waaay closer then hill giants or mossies.
  8. The gilded dresser and wardrobe allowed for you to have "all the looks" under the old character model system. Do they allow the same effect, for the new looks and character models?
  9. When you are farming, do you ever get seeds back as part of a harvest?
  10. Are there any surprises I should be worried about when fighting hellhounds, or would the standard armor/wep/food/pots cover it?
  11. Plus yew prices are [bleep]ing again
  12. Better spot for trolls is in kelgrim passage. Non multi combat and quite a few trolls. Its at the entrance to kelgrim from the rock crabs. Ring Code DKS
  13. Odd question, but I've been thinking of leveling RC (via firecrafting telly)and crafting, so I need the raw materials. I can mine gold ore and P ess, but the time it would take to mine the amounts I would want would take too long. I was wondering if people in game would see the wisdom in two for one trading. For example, trading 1 gold ore (worth 480) for 2 gold bars (worth 200 each) or 1 p ess (worth 100) for 2 reg ess(worth 30-50 each). Do you think this would be a decent idea, or am I barking up the wrong tree and it would be faster just to sell p ess and/or gold ore and buy the amounts I need? Mind you, this is not a sales post. I haven't mined anything yet, right now I'm looking for your thoughts.
  14. More like 1k yews will net you 1166-1333 laws. Yews are now 350-400 each.
  15. Buying ore/ making your own ring of forging is probably best, b/c the cost on bars is about 200 per if you buy iron bars. Iron darts are relatively uncommon--most people go for iron knives--finding a buyer might be difficult. I had 2k iron knives that took forever to sell. Darts do provide 5 more per bar, but the feathers cost can get expensive. With 1k darts, you're looking at 8k in costs (not counting rings of forging) with 7 of that 8k being feather costs alone. At current market rates of 15-25 per dart (and again, not counting rings of forging) you are looking at a profit of 7k-17k profit per thousand darts You might want to think about becoming a smelter, many of them make decent, if not great money and its training that pays for itself.
  16. Sorry to hear that, I think it is a good idea myself. With Jagex releasing "official worlds" it will impact this guide, but perhaps this thread could stay open with suggestions for other new "unofficial worlds." For example, I've suggested before a flax running world, where people trade flax for bs, gaining exp in the process.
  17. Odd semi-off topic, but if flax and maples prices fall bellow MTK costs (40 and 56.1 each) does anyone have any thoughts on what to do then? I am honestly disappointed they nerfed the maples and willow (u) prices
  18. They sell for 56 gp ea now -.- I found willow (u) sold for 16 and maple (u) 32. *sigh* it was nice while it lasted.
  19. I recently hit 70 fletch, and now I can't seem to find yew logs to save my life. I fletched in the yanille "guild" for an hour and could find any sellers; same thing in seers. What yews I could I find were being sold for 350-420 each. I thought that yews had stabilized at about 300 each. Whats going on?
  20. well if you keep maples you can fletch them yourself and still make money on them via the chartership.
  21. I'm just about ready to do the final battle in Fremennik Isles. Any helpful hints, tips, or tricks for the trolls and troll king, not already found in the tip it guide? I'm level 84 with 68 atk/str/hp; 67 def; 69 mage; 51 prayer; and 60 rng thanks in advance!
  22. If I were to alch, how much would I be expecting to lose cash wise? Are there any methods I can break even on? gold bracelets alch for 330, and nats are 300. So if you mined your own gold, you'd have it pay for itself.
  23. Alternatively, you could take an axe and chop the rest of your oak inventory there, buy planks w/ enough money to have one open space after purchase, and then chop a yew log to fly back to castle wars. Its a bit slower, but you get more bang for your buck.
  24. There are some good points on here. The tricky part is that one half of the macro problem isn't being addressed, the demand side. Macro's only exist b/c someone will buy their products. As I've stated time and again, the RuneScape model is a level treadmill designed to keep people playing as long as possible. Playing the game is fun, but leveling up at high level is not. The tricky part is they left an out in the game, skills levelable by cash. With enough money you could level crafting, smithing, fletching, or mage to exceptionally high levels in very short order. If they dealt with this issue via some official selling of gold or exp or even raw materials for money, the macro problem would disappear overnight. As it is, they have added some economic sweet spots to fight the cash flow problem. The gold bracelet high alchs for 30 over the price of nats, maple longs sell to the tradershop for double wha you buy them for in Manage Thy Kingdom, so maybe they are working on something. For now, forget Mod-squads, if they did the simple act of adding level 9 mages or other low-level agressive monsters at the yew trees that would be an action. Till they do that, I won't buy that they are doing something about macroers.
  25. I would agree, neitzot does have some good features, but we have to be realistic in placing the guild in a spot where most people can go p2p/f2p pure/non-pure. When making a guild spot, attention should be placed for making it as broadly accessable as possible; otherwise, you'll have a nice fancy guild with 4 other people in it total. This is why lumby (with its handy home port) is the clear winner.
