  1. I love this idea, and would love to contribute.
  2. You could try trading 1 gold ore for 2 bars. Ores are worth more then bars for the smelting exp, and then sell the bracelets or high alch them.
  3. A suggestion, other then your question, but--this is assuming you have the levels to do it--it would save you money. Go to Castle Wars Equipt a hatchet Withdrawl a willow log, the cash to do 27 oaks (6750) and enough logs to fill you to 40kg weight (weight varries by boots of lightness, capes, etc) Use the Balloon System to Varrock Chop oak logs there to your max inventory Plank all logs Chop a yew log Use Balloon System to return to Castle Wars With this method I managed about 500 planks an hour
  4. Key in flax spinning is to use Neitiznot for the spinner rather then seers or lumbridge.
  5. I would suggest knives over arrows, they are way faster and you can use a shield. If your def is high enough black knights are a good choice, b/c they can't hit worth nothing and you can range w/o a safespot. Another good choice is ankous, they are harder to range, but they have safesports and the drops are excellent.
  6. I know oak larders can be made in multiples of three (24 logs) but is there an oak item that can be made in multiples of 26 logs? e.g. 26 logs will make X number of this oak item. I know it sounds shallow, but I hate those two empty slots to go to waste.
  7. I recently hit 50 construction and can now make portal chambers, and can move my house to any of the locations. I would be interested in hearing suggestions for which portals locations I should pick. Also I would love feedback on the pros and cons of the various house locations.
  8. When does the "clock" for a day, start in manage thy kingdom?
  9. I would also support a move away from rants to something else. But I would worry that an increased volume of traffic would damage the debates going on here. I hate to say it, but in sheer volume of posting, "popular" drives out "good." The new general forums, are awash in "what do you think of XYZ" posts that have driven out decent discussions from the old boards. In reading some of the other threads here, perhaps a discussion board, might be in order with debate as one "anchor" of a couple of discussion groupings. For example, I would love to discuss the whole charter ship gloves thing and the reasoning behind it, but general discussion would get it buried in seconds, and its not exactly a "debate."
  10. Are tree saplings in pot tradeable?
  11. Is there a easy breakdown of how this works? I run a game at my library and I was thinking of offering prepaid credit cards with enough money on them for three months of membership as a prize. What/How/Where does this work? Is there a specific pre-paid card provider I should use? Any help on this would be most welcome.
  12. So, I'd love to shoot up my levels as quickly as possible to level 90, so I can take part in a PC clan. It looks like I need 74 in atk/str/def to get there. My current stats are as follows Attack 68 Defence 67 Strength 68 Hitpoints 68 Ranged 60 Prayer 51 Magic 69 Any suggestions on a way to quickly level these stats?
  13. Flax is dropping like a rock, the days of 100 per flax are over. The tricky part is BS crafting can take such a massive chunk out of your day that to spin the volume of flax coming out of the game its a little unreasonable. Maples too are not as good a money-maker as they once were, but the tree seeds you can get from chopping make up for it. But consider, flax "costs" 40 and maples 56.1, if you sell for 85-90 and 60-80, your money is doubling on the flax, and you're breaking even on the maples. If you keep pouring those profits back into the minigame, you're breaking even, and making a decent profit on the seeds. Not to mention coal is only 91 gp or so in game...
  14. Another thought, break it up. Don't go for 99 in one shot, use different crafting ideas as you reach each higher level. Consider clockwork cats at 85. They are 1 plank and one steel bar and people will buy them b/c they aren't too common. Price them out at 3k and make back some of that green dragon hide money. Or just craft up to the point where you get max return on investment, and no higher. Level to 90 and stop.
  15. I have finally managed to get enough coal to smelt a pile of iron ore I've been sitting on for over a year. I know I can sell my steel for 600 each for bars fairly easily, but the option of making other things is pretty temping. I would love to make cannonballs or knives or even arrows or darts, but I know the market for them is a bit hard to crack. I had 5k iron knives and it took forever to sell. Is there honestly a market for these things, or should I play it safe and just do bars?
  16. I've found darts a bit harder to sell vs. knives
  17. Do enchanted jewelry items high-alch for a greater amount then non-enchanted items?
  18. Well the tricky part is the "better" a strength training weapon is, the slower it is. The barrelchest is one of the best strength weapons in the game, but it is also pretty slow. D-scimmy is probably the quickest of the strength weapons.

The only advantage those chims have is speed. I might suggest using throwing knives, they are stackable and with Ava's device, easy to pick up and very quick compared to a bow.
  20. I second the the Arzinian Gold mine from Between a Rock quest
  21. Not a great deal of feedback except I can't wait for the cost section on melee gear. 8.75/10
  22. 3rd (or so) on the flesh crawlers. They drop a fairly consistant amount of them, and its much easier then combo runes. Also as a quick aside, abyss monsters drop decent tallys. If you use the fairy rings to the "non abyss, abyss" its not too bad.
  23. I'm 2k strung maple longs from 65 fletching. So with the royal trouble quest I can get the flax and maples I need for it. My question is, should I use RT to get the maples or cut them myself? I know I can buy the maples and it would be faster, but when I get to yew longs I don't want my wc to still be stuck at 63. Any suggestions?
  24. Neitiznot is faster then lumbridge or seers. Also, no stairs to climb.
