Have you heard Rubber Soul, Revolver, Sgt. Peppers' Lonely Hearts Club Band, The White Album, and/or Abbey Road? I mean albums. It sounds to me like you are basing this after their radio hits, which weren't amazing, instead of their stuff that is good. Although I could be wrong? Stuff like Sgt. peppers influenced a lot of todays progressive rock and metal (and Pet sounds by the beach boys) because no one had ever heard that stuff before. Personally I have listened to to much of the Beatles so I have gotten a little sick of them but we all have to thank them for some of todays best Artist(and others, better ones in the past)

korn(sell outs) and slipknot(good artist, just cant play good together) also Blink 182, Travis Barker is definitly not the best drummer and the word punk is miss used (basically means no future), so are all the other pop punk bands...

If i said any thing els... I would be cheating... I don't listen to much of them but this album Two against nature(and that was a wile ago)... Metal...Cream(personally i feel like they are blues rock, no doubt)Has structured and guided metal as what we know it today...I know "I Feel Free" is not exactly like the sound lamb of god or spinal tap but with out them... the building blocks of metal wouldn't have turned into the same sound.
