U.S., World Domination in the Past in Sports? Over?
What's your point? Please, tell me. I said that the US was playing terrible, an assertion that has been backed up by their performance in the 2006 World Cup. Do you dispute that? If so, where's your evidence?

Politics and Religion
Canada (unfortunately they now have Stephen Harper, who is a social conservative), the Netherlands, Germany...basically any Western European country. Avoid Iran, Saudi Arabia, El Salvador and the United States. It's sad that I'm only being slightly facetious in that last line...

*Official* World Cup thread (Predict the World Cup Final 4)
US versus Ghana tomorrow... I predict a 1-1 tie. Anyone else?

price check steel nails and bars
Realistically, expect to get around 600 gp each per steel bar. Don't let someone take you (on the buying end) for 550, and don't try to sell for anything over 620.

85+ Miners look here.
I am level 81 mining right now and going for 85. I have to say that granite is by far the fastest exp, and it averages around 46,000 an hour depending on the weight (in kgs) of each piece of granite. I would start mining right now (since you're already around 45 anyways) straight to 85. That will take a long time, but it will be worth it in the end. If you can go for about 3 hours every day, it won't be long...

You're exactly right. As Jon Stewart famously said, "Divorce is not caused because 50% of marriages end in gayness." :P

Good reason to learn japanese?
If you're interested in Chinese or Japanese, the best advice I can give to you is to start now. It takes years to become fluent in a language, and if you start now, in a couple of years you'll be nearly fluent (if you practice daily). If you have the opportunity, I would truly recommend living in Japan, as you'll be forced to pick up the language. If you live there, don't hang out with expats--it sounds mean, but it will help you pick up Japanese much more quickly.

Do YOU believe in God?
Emphasis Added... The word 'Theory' has a completely different meaning in scientific terminology. It doesn't mean (as many people tend to think) something that is purely conjectural, lacking evidence. A theory is something that results from available scientific data. Therefore, it is extremely unlikely that scientists will ever "prove" anything. The Theory of Gravity isn't proof that gravity exists, but it follows natural observation. If we drop an object 1.2 billion times, and we measure the speed of the falling object at 9.8 m/s in every instance, we can be reasonably sure that the Theory of Gravity explains a phenomenon. Likewise with the Theory of Evolution--it is one of science's most tested theories, and so far, its observations have stood up to rigorous scrutiny. Things in nature have been proven many times over to adapt to circumstances. Remeber, also, that macroevolution occurs over vast time scales (we're talking millions of years here). It's not like man just woke up out of the blue one day. Last of all, evolution and God don't have to be opposed to each other. It's certainly possible for a higher being to have had a hand in evolution and the formation of the universe, but no scientific evidence regarding this exists. I base my decisions on logic and evidence, and therefore, I do not accept that there is a God.

U.S., World Domination in the Past in Sports? Over?
You realize that we only 'tied' Italy because of Cristian Zaccardo's own goal? I could say that the US is playing like crap, but that would be an insult to crap.

Best Place to Power Mine In F2P(got info mod please lock)
The scorpion mine is by far the best, but it is very hard to mine there in F2P during peak hours. Countless people try to 'steal' your spot, so be prepared for lots of competiton. Members have the advantage of quiet mining spots...

Party Hats - Future Prices
You're right. Who wouldn't want to have a cash cow that generates a cool 500 million (that can be used on skills or fun stuff), regardless of the holder's skills or merchanting ability? RuneScape isn't a meritocracy, and I don't pretend that it is for even a second. But the new nontradeable status on current holiday items is great, as it prevents drops which are intended for FUN from being exploited by ruthless opportunists. Unfortunately, many people still feed the rares craze by paying such outrageous prices. I personally believe that my nontradeable, free bunny ears give me more respect and status in RuneScape than any party hat ever could.

Party Hats - Future Prices
Back in classic, I had multiple party hats, but I never anticipated their meteoric rise in price. Not many people did... It was just a fun drop that people would show in the game. Now, party hats are insanely expensive, and they give the people that own them huge advantages. While hat prices are only increasing, the value of most commodities is steadily decreasing or remaining constant. This will make it very difficult for developing players to ever obtain any rare items. That's why I think nontradeable holiday drops were a huge step in the right direction, and I support the decision by Jagex to make future drops nontradeable.

Outrage! - Now a question of what can be improved...
Every RuneScape fansite has its particular advantages, but I think that tip.it has the most. I personally visit all three major fan sites. RuneHQ I like the item database here, as well as some of the guides. However, I find a lot of the material poorly written and full of things that people already know. Zybez Personally, I think Zybez has some of the best quest guides around. The step by step format and the prerequisites (especially where it lists where you can find the starting items) is just great. However, Zybez isn't really known for that much else. Tip.it Has the calculators, guides and (especially) the forums that puts every other fansite to shame.

best place to train... 59 combat
In that case I would recommend deadly red spiders in Varrock sewers. Bring food, and as your food items deplete, replace them with eggs until you have to leave. This can be very profitable.

I was 59 combat a week ago. I went to Waterbirth Island and trained on rock crabs. I'm 75 now... :D

Agility Pyramid vs Barbarian Course
Thanks for the advice. I did Gnome's to lvl 40, which was incredibly tedious, so I'm looking for something a little more fun :D

Agility Pyramid vs Barbarian Course
Hey, guys. I currently have 40 agility, and I want to get it up to 52 so I can finally use some of the higher level courses. I was wondering which course offers the fastest exp at my level? I hear that the Brimhaven Arena is actually terrible exp (like 5K per hour). Would the pyramid or the barbarian course offer faster exp? Also, when you complete a lap on the barbarian course, do you have to go back through the pipe to start again? Or do you start at the rope swing? Thanks for all the help.

Steel bars [bleep]ed for about 2 days and then fell back to their normal prices. The boom was short lived, unfortunately. :(

No waterskins are necessary. I find it useful to bring a full set of desert clothes and wear them, however.

A.R.S.C.V. The Association For Runescape Classic Veterans
Hey, this is a great organization. I'd love to be a part of it. I've been on since spring of 2001 (Tequilaman), which makes me a classic veteran. Here's the proof:

One-click Ore
I know; I was wondering the level that one could one-click coal/granite 90% of the time (i.e., reliably)...
-
One-click Ore
Actually, I'm lvl 80 right now, and I can one-click granite about 50% of the time, but I'm just curious to know if I'll ever be able to one-hit it...

One-click Ore
Hey, any experienced miners here? I was wondering the levels/exp at which you can (90% of the time) obtain different ores from rocks in one click. I know iron one-clicking is around level 40, but does anyone know the general level for coal, granite, mith, etc? I'm going for 85 mining, and I'm just curious about whether this gets any less tedious in the future :D
