People who get mad at price manipulators
I don't agree with you in terms of Economics which you explained it out as it does not have depth nor the implications in the long run. If you ask why people get mad at price manipulators. Why not ask yourself: "Should I not get mad, when people earn money at the expense of myself?"

People who get mad at price manipulators
True, you mention about supply and demand. However did you ever mention the elasticity of demand? For the case of saphaires, if the price rise above profit people can choose not to buy, but for people hunting boss regualry, crafting runes, pure esscene to them is like an inelastic demand. Thus, even if the price rises, they still need to buy, unless they make those item themselves. In the case, where Perfect Competition (D=MR=AR) and Oligopoly (Kinked Demand Curve) collude together to form a cartel. They will form one big monopoly. The monopoly would than have the power to influence prices and price discriminate. Face it, in the case of runescape a monopoly would always earn a supernormal profit and the prices of items will rises and this would affect the person who want to buy it. Also, in the case of price manupulators (monopoly), they already did exploit consumers and charge premium prices for the products. This will threaten consumer welfare especially if the product is a necessity. Also the high amount of profits and power that a monopoly possesses may result in unequal distribution of wealth in the economy. This will lead to the wideninng of the income gap. [Economics is not just about supply and demand]. If the invisible hand of demand and supply does work, account for the Great Depression than? source:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Keynesian_economics#.22Multiplier_effect.22_and_interest_rates But Source: http://209.85.175.104/search?q=cache:WO ... ient=opera If you have study circular flow of income, hoarding is also bad and goverment (Jagex) should intervene. Beside hoarding already accours, when players save their money and not spending it, which affects the multiplier. Remember Economics, Remember Opportunity Cost, Remember Barriers of Entry. Also, due to price manipulators this will result in poor Pareto efficiency. Pareto efficiency, or Pareto optimality, is an important concept in economics with broad applications in game theory, engineering and the social sciences. The term is named after Vilfredo Pareto, an Italian economist who used the concept in his studies of economic efficiency and income distribution. In this case, in order for Welfare Economics and Social Welfare to maximise, a situation is optimal only if no individuals can be made better off without making someone else worse off. Economics is not just about supply, demand, basic concepts (Scarcity and etc), price floor, price ceiling and etc. IF you want to drag in the whole Economics term, please too mention about stufts such as Social Welfare in Economics, Monopoly Management. Supply and demand is mostly for Micro Economic.

I fail at goals.....
Alternate between iron ore + coal mining and crash star mining works too. Even though you can't get more than 200 star dust reward + 200 star dust for the next day, the exp is still pretty decent too. Other than that you can try switching location to avoid being bored easily, for example fishing colony iron spots, cave golbin mine, yanille iron ore spots are pretty close to the bank too. Also, coal are slow. Why not power mine granite and sell them to the grand exchange and use the money to buy coal. Faster mining exp and you get the coal you want to. Plus, about listen to instrumental music, it also make a difference which type you listen. Well for me I listen to music of the Baroque Era, and most classical music have tempo indication, choose those pieces with Allegro, Presto, Vivace tempo, you will feel less bored. Btw even the composer matters too, for instance Bach for his complexity, Vivaldi for his Allegro movement and etc. Each composer got his own style. Also this work too, try to reward yourself for like mining 5000 iron ore. So you will feel more motivated to do the mining. Try and add in Positive and Negative reinforcement to ensure that you will keep to the goal. Drinking Tea helps too, I suggest drinking those classic tea like Irish Breakfast, English Breakfast, Ceylon, Darjeerling and Earl Grey. Lapsang Souchong works too.

2.5 Mil
a) What for? Unless you want to increase your total level. Even if you want to get the inferno adze from the new mini game, it really aren't worth it. B) Cooking? What specific food are you cooking? Unless you need more food for slayer/combat. Not really worth it to buy raw food. Might just as well train fishing and cooking together unless you have already decided not to train fishing. c) Fast exp, but would it get you 99? Addy bolts is not that suitable for training unless you add a diamond to hunt boss with it and beside if you have 55 slayer, just use broad bolts to it. d) Prayer levels are good. In some case, where you need prayer, your prayer will last longer, prayer potions will restore more. Beside prayer level will gain you combat level, making less monster aggressive to you. And also, additional prayer points is useful as you never know what new quest boss would appear, where every single prayer point counts. Beside, more prayer point is definetly good, if prayer point is not recommended, than there would be no such thing "as prayer flash" where every single prayer point counts. Out all of these four, I say gaining more prayer is the best.

I fail at goals.....
I once did 1 whole week of woodcutting on willows to get my woodcutting to 99, than the next week I burn all those logs to reach 99 firemaking. Click on my RSN: Solisticez and check my stats if you don't beileve. The reason why I mention this is that I understand how you feel. The tip to not let yourself be bored easily is to distract your mind. One trick I used is that while playing I will normally listen to classical music. It is due to the fact that if you listen to song with lyrics, you will end up getting bored with the song sooner or later, (that's why most game music don't use lyrics/songs). Other than this, you can multi task, as for me I play on my laptop, so I can play RS while watching TV or simply switch on another computer and play RS while watching movies, anime etc. It works, especially if the movie is interesting. (This may seems quite hard as you might end up watching the movie instead and not clicking in RS). Not sure, if I'm mis-interpret your post saying training is boring and tedious. Also be it a small goal or a big goal, making a thread in tip.it or rs goals and achievement/blog helps too. Never under-estimated how words of encouragement and support can boots you.

Anyone been to the Ogre Enclave lately?
If you honestly believe that RWT is worse now than it was before the updates then you are an idiot. No further comments. I agree with merciful with that comment. I still remember back at the late September 2006 when p2p first got a major shock in the sudden increase influx of bots and macros; and when the Runescape Forums does not set any rule regarding posting about bots and macros. Topics on bots was so much that Jagex has to set up the new rule regarding not posting about bots in the forum. And in certain times of the day, the bots even out-numbered the fishers in catherby. So before spamming the same old story that "Jagex" didin't do anything, please know some facts.

Anyone been to the Ogre Enclave lately?
While doing a level 3 wildy clue, I walked pass the wildy green dragon spots and see those standard autoers: Rune/Addy Full Helm Rune Chain Rune Legs Whip + Anti-Dragon Random and Chinese Name A bunch of them... It seems they are coming back :wall: . I think I saw some in the rune ess mine, but can't be too sure. But so far, I think Seers flax field, and lumby spinning wheel, catherby fishing spots are still clear...

For a new member start doing summoning and construction when you have decent amount of money in the bank. This two skills despite being benefitical at higher levels, drains alot of money from you.

Star crash sites?
It all depend, not everybody that uses Tip.It set their homeworld as world 99. Secondly, why use a team if you know more or less, where the star can be found. Thirdly, the exp of soloing a crashed star is yummy. I'm not saying that finding in a team is bad. But it really depends whether you value getting star dust and being rewarded faster over mining exp or not.

Monster: Jungle Horrors Amount: 133 Crimson: 5 Green: 26 Gold: 5 Blue: 1 Hmm, I didn't thought they were decent green charms dropper until I did a tasks on them... I wonder would they be better than Basilisk in terms of green charms? I could say in terms of gathering charms would be quite an easy task as compare to basilisk. They have low hp and I just stand there, and those jungle horror would swamp up to me one by one. And beside there is a bank nearby.
