  1. If you have lots of glory, skill necklace and combat braclet than you could try my method. I'm too lazy to time the rate now though. Combat bracelet to Ranging Guild Glory to Edge and bank OR Skill Necklace to Crafting Guild Duel Ring to CW to Bank Btw, don't try Canafis, it is expensive.
  2. ~What makes a good friend? One that you could trust and depend on Will stick up to me when I get flamed etc Is fun to be with him/her ~How do you view yourself a good friend to others? Humor them Give them tips on how to train I can be sarcastic when I got annoyed ~What would you do for a friend that you met on RS? If they are on a goals like 99 hunting while catching red chins or doing some goals (stationary), I will buy some alchs to alch and keep them company. I will lend out my gears to them. If they are running low on supplies I will give them mine, provided if they can junk trade me. Or if one is a very good friend to me and is having a goal to obtain certain expensve item, I will help him/her make a portion of the money. Basically finanical aid to him/her. ~What do you think a friend would do for you? When I help a friend or even strangers, I don't require them to pay me back or return a favour to me. But if he/she is a very good friend to me, I would require them to give me their MSN etc, so we can chat. I always try to held on to the belief that friends does not only exist when you log on and play a certain game.
  3. Well for me I farm my watermelon at the dranor/falador farm patch. I use explorer ring to cabbage patch teleport and also use a glory to tele back to edgeville and repeat the process. It may sound inefficiency but if you have like 50+ Amulet of Glory, you can do it like me and use this patch to grow your watermelon too.
  4. I stock up on stufts such as super restore, manta rays, tuna potatoes, strawberry basket and wild pies. Most of these stufts I collected is much harder to stockpile them in the short run.
  5. EDITED Hmm, I just delete another of "my long eassay against your argument". Well, since you have in-directly requested me to cease-fire, than I will do that in the spirit of the game/forums. Btw, Ranters Section can be serious, alot of my post in the Jagex, runescape forums are very serious and lengthy as usual  . Anyway to sum up my post, I disagree with your economics view that price manipulator is justify in Economics and regarding whether people should get mad on price manipulators or not, I'm indifferent. Ps: You certainly aren't the first nor the last to say that my post are annoying to be reply/rebut.
  6. At least now, I know the reason why no matter how well I did and follow the audience instruction, I still could not get more than 1000 :wall:
  7. If your farming is your lowest stats, try "pumping" it up with Tears of Guthix. Also join a Clan Chat on finding penguins, it is quite fast to find all 10. Use the reward to gain farming exp. On top of it try completing achievement diarys and use the exp lamp or doing stufts that gives you exp lamp. While doing this, farm some fruit trees and trees. All this are relatively fast farming exp, but very short term solution as I see that you only wanted 25 Farming.
  8. I recommend 1 air staff, water runes, law runes and soft clay on the lecturn(sp?).
  9. Stick with BGS. Defence lowering is much better.
  10. You better off, ranging them with rune crossbow + broad bolts and bring a dragon hally to occassionally special them.
  11. Duration of fight? Spells cast? Ammo use? Total Damage Dealt? Food used? Spell used? Weapon Used? Armour Used? How about, the idea I heard somewhere before (not mine, I forgotten who is it). When a person dies, he would drop a tombstone and the killer would [loot and destroy] the tombstone and get a reward. You can be wearing 100m worth of stufts but is standing there doing zero dmg while your opponent kill you. Beside we never know how "generous" Jagex are, I still remember their 3k updates.
  12. Cut and burn logs. Mine coal at mining guild. Craft Essence until you can do nature. These two are the only thing that I could think of that have almost the same training advantage with members. If you want to train fishing and cooking, might just ad well when you are a member use catherby or fishing guild. Range training would be make easy with animal magentism. F2p mage robes are junk. Train melee, might just as well do slayer and train together. Prayer? Don't even bother as you could use ectofuntuc (sp?). If you intend to be a member and you are a f2p, just train skills and do stufts that training as a member does not have a siginficant advantage over it.
  13. For a person doing gwd what is a necessities to him? For a person doing barrows what is a necessities to him? For a person doing a simple firemaking what is a neccessities to him? In this case, I did not use Income Elasticity of Demand in my arguments, but more towards the implications when a group of players collude together and Price Elasticty and Cross Elasticity of Demand. Yep, I totally agree with you with this statement. We too can't really just use supply and demand to justify for the price manipulators action, there are also many other variable invovled and etc. Runescape is classify under "Game Economy" and it too have other factors not just supply and demand. People play RS to enjoy, not to log in to find that the item essential for them to enjoy the game has been hoarded and they need to spend extra time to end the extra amount of money. A quote another author: About the point I get from Google, as much as you mention that Hoarding is good, but we still cannot denie the fact it is still a negative externalities. Yep, you mention about hoarding, I just point out it already happen. Look at the bold words. Thanks, for giving some facts and useful stufts on the great depression. Well back on the topic, it already shows that Supply and Demand alone can't justify that people should not get mad at price manipulators as there are many reasons they should be. It is parrallel to your post as there are many points and reasons for a thing. But what solve this? Do they depend on the supply and demand or did they use keynesian economics?
  14. Hm? One person gives the password, the other gives the money. How does that not work 'dummy'? Sorry to get in this mini discussion. But, have you ever notice that when you log in into the log in screen, you will see a message "last login from XXXXXX IP address", it would be rather suspicous if 3 months the IP was at some part of China than suddenly it end up in the US. And for JAgex, sometimes they don't need evidence, suspicions is only enough.
  15. Source: http://news.runescape.com/newsitem.ws?id=1370 Not really. Unless you can predict the future and know the defination of impressiveness. How do Jagex define impressiveness, is still unknown to us. Don't jump to conculsion so fast.
  16. You will automatically have a bowl when you enter the cave where you collect the tears.
  17. I went and check out the quest guide, you misread it...
  18. However, there are many type of economic system, free market, command economy or even those of are welfare state. I'm merely discussion that people DOES HAVE have a reason to be get mad, since some of them are affected. Plus by using the expenditure functions, income can't really pass between players that well as there is alot of hoarding/savings. Based on your idea, it can't really happen in the whole market as there would be some part of the money loss through Deadweightloss. As so far, what I observed people have more mariginal cost than marginal benefits in some of the items and the other way round in some of the commodities. Take the case of OPEC. The monopoly would never over-charge. As unlike most player, the monopoly firm is a 'price maker'. It can choose what price to charge. Neverthless, it is still constraint by it;s demand curve. A rise in price will reduce the quantity demanded, thus it will not over-charge. So you are saying the buyer either make a loss or the consumer make a loss? If you are saying flow of income, I've already mention it. But in some cases, both parties will make a gain. For instance in a product there are 3 levels of product. And each level will give benefits to a consumer. It really depends whether the price is worth it or not. For clarification, I agree that in some cases monetary gain and loss is unavoidable. But my basic idea is whether should we increase the loss and gain between player or whether we should not. It is still best not to make a huge difference between the consumer/buyer and producer/seller surplus.
