Whats your favourite weapons and armour?
Skill_Caster replied to lord_firefla's topic in General Discussion
I love my Dragon Dagger Super-Poisoned. I've had it for a very long time, and I carry it everywhere. Never know when an event's gonna pop up ;). -
Wow, nice work Jagex, an awesome Behind the Scenes. 2007 seems like the best year yet!
-
Sadly, this blog has come to an end, however, you're welcome to check out my new blog! My main goal is a quest point cape. The above are 10/15 goals I need to get before I can complete all the quests. Recent Accomplishments Fishing Goal Finished January 1st, 2007 Range Goal Finished January 6th, 2007 Firemaking Goal Finished January 6th, 2007 Agility Goal Finished February 10th, 2007 (I will continue to train it though.) Mining Goal Finished January 29th, 2007 Fletching Goal Finished February 9th, 2007 BloodFire Bookshelf Well, I'm currently writing a series labeled "BloodFire" while I skill. You can find that series here. Journal Entries Monday, January 1st, 2007 | Happy New Year! As I sit here drinking the last of my sparkling cider, I think about 2007, a new year, starting out fresh, awaiting to be filled with all kinds of events and goals. I know my blog isn't much of anything now, but trust me, give me a day, and I will fill it up with some cool stuff! Saturday, January 6th, 2007 | Welcome to my Journal (I have decided to restart my journal today and add some more features.) Well, I finished my range and firemaking goal today, they only had 1 level each until the goal. I have my format for my blog all planned out now, during part 1, while I get all the skills I need, I will be using this format. Once I have all the levels, I will clean it out and use a completely different format. During part 2, I will not use daily entries, but an entry for each quest instead. Saturday, January 6th, 2007 | Check, Check, Check! Today, I finished up three goals, wow! I've decided to work on my mining next. Well, as I stated in the intro, I'm trying to tackle my goals in a creative way, not stand like a mindless zombie clicking a rock for 5 hours. My first plan is to mine a bunch of gems, then mine/smith a bunch of gold, make jewelry, then enchant them, for they will come in handy in the future. (For example, rings of forging for smithing training, rings of dueling for teleportation, rings of life for dangerous questing, etc.) Before today is over, I'd like to complete the Animal Magnetism quest, too, so as I complete the rest of my goals, I can obtain a lot of steel arrows which might be useful later. Sunday, January 7th, 2007 | Week 1 Has Come And Gone Well, the first week of 2007 has come and gone, but has not been wasted. In that time, I completed 6 skill goals. I got all my jewelry finished, so I now plan to use train mining and smithing together. I have also added a "Thanks To" section today to give thanks to those who've helped me throughout this long journey. Monday, January 8th, 2007 | Mining, mining, mining... Well, I got Between a Rock... finished today, opening one of the most amazing places to get your mining up (along with smithing). After the quest you gain access to the mine, which contains 146 gold ore. It's pretty much right beside a bank, except for the fact you need to pay 3 gold ores to bank. After I obtain the 880 gold ore (which will finish my mining goal), I'm going to switch to Goldsmithing Gauntlets, which gives more exp than even mithril when smithing gold. Tuesday, January 9th, 2007 | (Still) Mining, mining, mining... Sorry I couldn't post yesterday, I was a bit busy and forgot to. I now have 168/880 gold ore now, it's not all of it, but it's good. Not much interesting happening, just the same pounding on a rock... Well, I guess I have to get even more ore now that it's 63 instead of 59. In the end, I got 336 out of....way too much :P. Wednesday, January 10th, 2007 | (Yes, still) Mining, mining, mining... Still mining, not really anything to post. Thursday, January 11th, 2007 | Unable to get online Friday, January 12th, 2007 | (What do you think?) Mining, mining, mining...) Yes, I'm still mining sadly. Saturday, January 13th, 2007 | Not Mining! w00t! Well, I gave up on mining gold. It was boring, nothing interesting happened, and it was slow. So, I smithed the gold I got, and went out to buy some iron and coal ore. Now, I'm going to smith cannonballs while making a profit. Sunday, January 14th, 2007 | Cannonballs, going once, going twice... Well, I finished smithing the cannonballs and I ended up selling them for a total of 288,000k. Wurmy (Wurmskin, I call him Wurmy) gave me full rune (gold-trimmed) today as a Christmas present, which I shall never sell, ever. Also, he gave me 1000 nature runes (wow  ), and the best thing of all; despite the fact that he quit, he's going to get on now once a week to talk and hang with his friends. All those cannonballs raised my smithing 2 levels, from 51 to 53, leaving 10 levels left from my goal! Tuesday, January 16th, 2007 | Tuesday... Well, first off, I would like to give a big thanks to Panda, who gave me one of my most wanted items, full wizzy (g) [well, we traded]. However, I may have to give up this goal. You see, I realized, because the way Jagex made it, I won't be enslaved to this goal until I get the cape. I'll be enslaved to it forever. This goal will never end. And we all know we can't play forever. Our time comes, whether it be soon, or afar. I'm still thinking about, but I may just quit this goal. It's not even a goal, really. It never ends, because I'll never meet the end. I'm not setting a goal to high for my level, if I put my head to it I could do it. But I'd have to stick around for a long time, and like I said before, I can't be on forever. Our time comes, and then we must quit. Real life comes and impacts us, and we must leave. With the quest point cape, if this happens to me, in a week or so all of that work will be lost within a single update. I'll sleep on it, but I'm nearing a wise decision. Wednesday, January 17th, 2007 | ON TEH HUNT! (For Honest1) Well, I'm still going for it. I didn't get much done tonight, but I'm on the hunt, for Honest1. (Well, I'm just waiting now until they go to Port Sarim, I'm tired of looking :P) Again, didn't get much of anything done, so there's not much to post. Thursday, January 18th, 2007 | Unable to get online Friday, January 19th, 2007 | T.G.I.F! Well, thank goodness it's Friday. Have a couple of things to announce. First off, I would like to thank Pasta (Pasta Chief), for helping me so much in my smithing goal. He gave me a lot of supplies (ores and bars) to smith into cannonballs, which will boost my smithing a lot. After that, he's going to buy ore so I can smith cannonballs for him, until I complete my goal. Second, to reduce boredom while skilling, I have decided to write a Runescape-related series, where I will release a new chapter every Friday. I'll post my stories in the Varrock Library, and create a section here labeled "The Bookshelf" where you can select to view it. Happy Friday everyone! -Skill Caster After checking, I figured out this would finish my smithing goal! Thanks again Pasta! --------- I was unable to post from Jan. 19th to Feb. 3rd. --------- Saturday, February 3rd, 2007 | I'm Back! Sorry, I was unable to post completely for the past couple weeks, but I should be back on track now. I finished my mining goal in that time, and I'm only 8k exp. points away from finishing my smithing goal. Also, today I've updated some of the Thanks To section, be sure to check that out. Sunday, February 4th, 2007 | So long, smithing! Yes, finally, I have completed my smithing goal. My next one is prayer. This one will be easy, all I need to do is find someone with a glided altar. Monday, February 5th, 2007 | 'That'll be 152k, sir.' Today I bought all the prayer bones I need for my prayer goal, but I couldn't find anyone with an altar. Tuesday, February 6th, 2007 | Prayer Complete! Today, Sir Haltlar let me use his glided altar, which allowed me to complete my prayer goal! Yay! I must say, I love retribution. Wednesday/Thursday, February 7th/8th, 2007 | Unable to get online Friday, February 9th, 2007 | Fletching Complete! I got my fletching goal completed today! Also got a role in Pasta Wars =D. Saturday, February 10th, 2007 | Agility Complete! I got my agility finished today, pretty exciting! Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Unable to post] Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, February 14th, 15th, and 16th 2007 | Slayer Training! I'm just doing some slayer training today. Nothing much. Saturday, February 17th | Slaying, slaying, slaying! Well, currently I have been slaying, to finish my slayer goal. I'm getting a lot of good stuff, so I'm going to create a log to display. Also, I've added 5 more of my goals I need to the Goals section. Actually, I've only added 3 goals, because 2 of the stats for the goals aren't ranked in high scores yet, and they refuse to load until it's in the high scores. Thursday, February 22nd, 2007 Well, I couldn't post lately, but all I've been doing is slaying, really. I'm now the writer for Pasta Wars \ and I'm writing a movie called "Death of Mind", so be sure to check into that. Thanks To: Brandon (g_u_t_h_i_x) Brandon has been a really good friend I met on Runescape, he's been through a lot lately, but he's still managed to pull through. He's currently working on a melee pure. He's helped me in countless times though Legends, and through this journey too. On February 1st, 2007, Brandon got his main, Brandonssx, back. It was hacked a while back, and given 11 offenses, with no appeal. After talking with Mod Mark R, he was given a last chance appeal, which was denied about a week later. Recently, somehow, the last chance appeal was changed to accepted, and he got his account back. Welcome back Brandon! Pie (PSOfr33k) Pie has been another really good friend, I met him when I started Legends. He's working on a pure too, named Xl Kite Xl. I did Legends with him, and we've been friends ever since. I'm also racing with him now to see who'll get the QP cape first \ . Pie's really been working hard on his pure, he would of owned me yesterday if I hadn't of got lucky with my DDS spec. Keep working hard! Wherzwaldo (Altra) Wherzwaldo is a friend I met a while back, she just recently got her quest cape and she's been helping me along the journey. She's currently working on getting a pwnage POH. She also donated me 100 cooked sharks to help finish up my smithing goal. Not only that, but she's been helping me a lot in many other ways. Thanks again! Wurmy (Wurmskin) Wurmy is a third really good friend. He quit, sadly, but today (1.14.07), he's going to come on hopefully once a week so we can talk. Yay! For Christmas, he gave me 1000 nature runes (not sure what I'm gonna do with all those  ) and full rune (g), which I'll never sell as long as I'm alive. Panda (Pandaman115) Panda is a good friend I met while Legends, he HYTed me and we kept each other added. I often talk to him a lot, he's currently working on becoming a strong PKer. (People think I've gone crazy asking them what their current goals are right now) Also, Panda was barrowing and kindly donated 1914 chaos runes to me. Thanks again Panda! Pasta (Nick_6464) Pasta is another good friend I met after Legends. We added each other and he's a really great person to talk to. He let me smith a lot of steel and cannonballs for him, getting me from 10 levels away from my smithing goal, to just 1. Thanks again! Dark (Darkalien182) Dark has been a good friend too, I met with him when I asked him to flat pack some furniture for my house in preparation for my Legend's party, which never really came to be. Well, you've read this far (or you've just scrolled down). I hope you enjoyed the read, if you have the time, please post, have a nice day!

Do you still have an RSC account?

I have one, still collecting dust on tutorial island. That was on a previous account, which is no longer members however. -
The wierdest thing in Runescape?Your thoughts?
Skill_Caster replied to g_u_t_h_i_x's topic in General Discussion
Got some more: The fact that a super-poisoned powerful weapon slashed back and forth can fail to even leave a scratch half the time. That there is never night/day on Runescape. That there is no weather conditions on Runescape (except in some quests, and holiday events, I mean like a rainy day randomly or etc.). -
Definitely p hat, it makes almost anyone look cool. Although I would prefer blue or red, not purple.
-
Does that really happen? Did like get the event when you tried to marry the princess in the quest?
-
You need to enchant it first. Either get a shark, sea turtle, or manta ray. If you have a ring of charos, you can charm the ghost to allow you to use bass. The higher level the food is, the more teleports you can use before you have to recharge it. Take one of the above fish to the spirit you encountered during the quest and enchant it.
-
I guess so, my two blogs seemed to make me noticable now. I get HYTed a lot.

Checking out other peoples levels and names..?
Skill_Caster replied to ThoseTheBrokes's topic in General Discussion
I do too, not because I'm curious, it's just instinct. I think a lot of people do, for no real reason. -
I make money...anyway possible. I don't really have a main method of making money, I just sell what I can, craft/mine/smith/alch/mix/fish/cook/etc. what needs to be crafted/mined/smithed/alched/mixed/fished/cooked/etc.

Questions of inexperienced players - what've you been asked?
Skill_Caster replied to mrmyk's topic in General Discussion
Just got asked "Hey if I buy your armor will you give it to me free?" -.- -
It's a hard choice to decide on just one 99 IRL skill. For example, you'd need 99 runecrafting to supply your 99 magic, however, I'd choose 99 magic, to charm people (runecrafters) into making me runes, then take over the world  No, not really. I'd use my magic to help people, because IRL, magic would be all you need. No more needing to get up to fetch the remote, use Telekenetic grab, superheat your food when it gets cold, alch some junk when you need some spare cash, etc. And that's just the normal spells. Think about Lunar spells and Ancients IRL.

That's sad to see another quitting because of scamming/hacking topic. It sounds like your "friends" weren't really your friends, maybe he got in by your recoveries because he learned them in your "friendship".
-
This board is mainly for questions, but if you go to the Runescape forums, there are many topic hiring people for jobs. Use the search button on the Runescape boards for "job".

Go to http://www.imageshack.us to upload your photo, then copy the Forum or BB Code they have, then go to profile on this site, scroll down to signature, and paste the BB code you got from imageshack.

Good luck in real life, it's nice that you've seen the light. -
The wierdest thing in Runescape?Your thoughts?
Skill_Caster replied to g_u_t_h_i_x's topic in General Discussion
I second that. Death to the sandwich lady. We should make a cult :P. I think that the weapons are used differently, for example, in real life, if you were even struck with a bronze pick axe, you'd die almost instantly. However, in RS, it takes a lot of hits with that to kill the average player. -
I try to save, but it appears I'm a spender. There's always something that needs to be bought, or someone that needs help, and that ends up using up all my cash. Sadly, I've never reached the 500k mark, let alone the 400k mark.
-
I've got a collection of weeds. It makes farming interesting, and they are easy to get : .
-
Wow, it's finally here, and it's pwnage. Maybe in the future we'll see a street price section, that would really boost it's useage.
