  1. I totally agree. When you enter into an agreement, with anybody, that has rules and regulations accompanied to it, you are expected to read them. So you read them, you don't get into trouble, you don't advertise websites, you don't use foul language, you don't hit the space bar and then the enter key 20 times (spam chat). Look at it this way. Somebody goes out and takes out a 1 million dollar life insurance policy, but doesn't read the fine print. Pretty stupid, right? Then they are in a real bad spot at some point in their life and commit suicide, thinking that their family gets the 1 mill. Wait a tick, it says in the contract that you can only die by natural causes only, so now your family gets nothing. It's the same thing here. If you read the rules, find out that offensive language WILL NOT BE TOLERATED, or that spam talking, or advertising, or autoing, or drop trading, or scamming... Do I really have to go on? For those that are perm muted, my sympathy would go out to you because it makes things harder, like trading or being accused of autoing, but my sympathy does NOT go out to you because you broke a rule. Plain and simple. Sure, you only get one appeal, and perm bans get two, but how many of those perm bans do you think get their account back, even after two appeals? My suggestion, don't fall into the trap of someone calling you a noob, or whatever, and getting you to retaliate with offensive language. If someone asks you to share a website with them, even in pm's, DON'T! Don't be stupid. No support.
  2. Take a look at my stats sig. You think that I auto? :shame: Like I said, I am not a fan of autoers either. I am trying to look at a way that Jagex can deal with them, rather than get rid of them, since that seems to be IMPOSSIBLE for them. Yesterday I was walking past the willows, and there were 4 autoers there, with the same name, only different numbers at the end... Cut some willows while reporting every one of them. Like I said before, I like to get the constructive criticism, but what I don't like, is getting accused of autoing. Yeah, I can write here till I'm blue in the face, and my fingers go raw from typing, that I don't auto, but I don't expect you to believe it. So go back to your 5 word post replys, get your post count up a bit more, maybe someone, someday, somewhere, will care about what you have to say... Hey, I did say MAYBE!
  3. So here is my question to you then. Do you think RuneScape would be where it is if macroers didn't exist? I totally agree with what you are saying about macroers being the worst of the worst. And you know what, that would be a good idea about the massive bans. I wish I knew how macroing worked, so I could suggest a better solution, but I don't, so this is what I have for now. Keep it coming. I may not like the rejection, but I very much respect the criticism.
  4. I support on both sides. Once, I sold some coal for 2000gp each, because the buyer was rushed. I said 200 each, they clicked an extra 0, I left the second screen for about 15 seconds before I hit the accept button, even though they hit theirs pretty much right after the second screen appeared. I felt bad, but not too bad, since they had plenty of time to check things over. It was only like 50 coal or something like that, but that's still 100k instead of 10k. Wonder if they ever noticed...
  5. Ok, I know this will probably get locked in about 10 minutes from me hitting the submit button, but who knows, maybe not... I'm gonna use macroers and autoers interchangably. Maybe they mean the same thing, maybe they don't, but in this thread, I will treat them as the same thing, so don't flame me about it please. Here's my thought. Everyone hates macroers, right? Everyone except the people macroing, and those that buy their wares. What would happen to all the fletchers out there if all of a sudden every one of them had to cut their own wood? Sure, there are a huge portion of them that already do cut their own wood, but then there are the ones that buy their wood from shady dealers. What about the person selling 5k coal outside the mining guild, but if you check the top scores, they don't even show up for mining? Ok, ok, they may be merchanting, but I'm gonna take a stab at saying that they have an autoer down in the cavern as they speak about selling. So what if autoers, or macroers had their place? What if when a new account was created, there was an option to say this would be a macroing account? WAIT! Don't hang me yet. What if the account was created as such, they could ONLY log onto world X, Y and Z. Things could be a little different on world X, Y and Z. Macroing levels would come alot slower. Instead of getting 25xp points for cutting down a tree, you would only get 1xp point. Or for mining some ore, only 1xp point. Anything done on these worlds would give you only 1xp point. Leveling here would take a long time, thus no autoers on the high scores list. Things would cost the same amount, like a lobster (if the autoer ever got that high) would cost 250gp. And coal would still sell for 150-200 ea. Sure, this would still make autoers richer, but at a very much slower pace, as it would take them an extremely long time to get to mining coal, or cutting willows, or fishing lobbies. But let's face it, autoers have been around, and WILL be around for quite some time. And as long as there are autoers, there are people who purchase from them. I know nothing about macros or anything like that, and I don't purchase this stuff (I mine/cut/fish everything by myself). Let's just try to make it harder for the money to come in for them. Now I know what everyone is going to say... "Why would they want to choose that it's a macroing account when they create it? They can just create a regular account and macro on a regular world!" Sure they can. So my answer to that would be to make all accounts a macro account by default. Then once you finish tutorial island, give the account user an extremely easy task to fulfill, something that a macro couldn't do, to take the macro designation from the account. Now this is by no means an end all, be all to get rid of macroing, but I think it could be a start. And if you want to get rid of macroers/autoers, you'll lose alot of the RuneScape commumity, not only would you lose the macroer/autoers, but you would lose alot of the players that rely on these accounts to purchase the goods from. Not as many willows or yews selling? Is that a good, or bad thing? Wait a second, I can now cut yews without seeing could045 and could088 and could014 cutting the same tree? I'm sure we would all like to see this. Rip this thread apart if you like, but please, try to be creative about it. Don't just say "Horrible idea, don't support." and hit submit. At the same time, don't say "Love it, 100% support  " and hit submit either. I'd love to hear some criticism and help on the idea. Thanks.
  6. I would support this suggestion, if things were tweeked a bit (and before you start flaming me, yes, I did read the entire thread). One hour of play, very short. 12 hours of playing, still pretty short. The problem with NOT deleting an account that is on the high scores? It may not always be on the high scores. Let's say player name "Joseph" is 70 woodcutting and 65 fletching, and hasn't leveled any other stat even once. A pure in most every sense of the word, except that they hace leveled two stats. Now Joseph is ranked 750,000 in the woodcutting high scores, and 623,000 in the fletching high scores. Now, the user stops playing for 2 years while he/she goes off to college, only to find out that when they try to log on 2 years later, their password has been changed... Well how could that be? They check for the name Joseph in the high scores, and find that they now have 80 attack. Did they get hacked? Nope. Then what happened to their account? They didn't log in for 1.5 years. But they were on the high scores??? Why did they get deleted? Because in that time, a whole bunch of players that WERE playing, passed them in the rankings, thus shoving them off the high scores list. Now their account can be deleted. Deleting accounts also holds true to any email account. For user privacy and confidentiality, once a user stops using an email account, that name can never be used by anybody else, unless they have the login information. Yes I agree with the suggestion in theory, but in application, I can't support. I tried to create an account the other day, with a name that I thought for sure would never have been used, but sure enough, already gone. Was I dissapointed? Sure I was. But all I had to do was make it a little different (didn't even have to use numbers), and voila, a new user with a cool name (at least I think so). All you have to do is show a little ingenuity, and instead of Zebulun234, you can have Zebzara. With 26 letters in the alphabet, and the ability to use 12 or more characters in a name, there are pretty much unlimited names available. Find a cooler one by switching it up.
  7. Good luck on the 99 fletching. I'm on my way to 99 fishing and cooking right now (easiest in the f2p game I would say).
  8. Not really an option, based on what PhaperPlane has said. They are PLAYER given rewards, in that a PLAYER is supplying the reward, not the game (Jagex). Plus, the reward seems to be set when the person sets up the quest. If you do a hard quest, and don't get anything, then should've chose a different quest. If you do a super easy quest, and get full Rune, congrads, you picked the right quest.
  9. Ok, I get it. So only 1 person can do the quest. Intersting concept. I would support it. Would you know (as the person doing the quest) what the reward is? Or would you have to wait? That would prevent people from picking the best reward quests, and just get a random reward, if anything. I like that. I would support something like this... as long as it was both f2p and p2p.
  10. If I were to create a quest of my own, and offer say, 10 iron bars as the reward for playing, that means that I would ALWAYS have to have 10 iron bars, correct? That way, if someone completes my quest, those bars can then come out of my bank... Or does that mean that I have to deposit 10,000 iron bars into some kind of chest at the end of the quest so that they can collect 10... I say 10,000, that way 1000 people can do the quest... Then I have to re-stock the chest? Can you expand on how this part of it would work please??? I support the idea, but I think it would take ALOT of coding, and may be too much to handle.
  11. BUMP! Does no-one have anything to say on this subject? C'mon people, I see more discussion on stuff that will NEVER be added to the game.
  12. Sorry if I didn't make myself clear enough. You wouldn't need to complete a quest to get into the guild, but a quest in order to use the table saw, or a quest to be able to gain access to the tree cutting area (unless that area is already accessible). Don't make it tough to GET INTO the guild, but make it an ADVENTURE to be able to use the guild. Then I am all in favor
  13. I can't say that I understand this either, but here is what I am thinking... The reasoning that I can see, is that there are far more types of rocks to mine, than there are types of trees to cut (especially in f2p). Also, look at willows (where most people skill wood cutting). There are not very many willow trees, and they are always lots of people (and autoers) cutting. If you only got one log per tree, then it would take forever to get anywhere with your wood cutting level. On the other hand, there are usually plenty of rocks to mine at, of the same kind, in one area, and there are quite a few areas to mine at. Just my two cents (if it makes any sense). :?:
  14. Here's what I understood from the front page. 1) True, I'm f2p, and true, I don't know how much it costs to train 99 construction. But the players that are 99 construction now, I don't see asking for more xp by converting planks on their own. 2) Sure, the banks may be the same distance from what you are proposing as from the sawmill. Ok, so I guess you got me there. 3) Sure I said that it would be nice to have everything near, but if you read on, it also said, "Do you see where I'm getting at". You obviously don't know what sacrasm is, so let me spell out what I meant... "So you see, it would take out all the fun/adventure/difficulty of getting a skill up". 4) No, you didn't complain about sending your servants for planks, but now you want to make cutting them yourself part of the game, and therefore make your servant obsolete, and therefore in a round about way, you are complaining that you have to send him, rather than cutting them yourself. 5) As for maxing out my f2p stats, while being f2p, sure it's gonna take me a longer time, but, so goes life. You don't hear me complaining about it taking longer. You said on the front page, So that's exactly what I did. I gave some CONSTRUCTIVE criticism. You want everything to do with construction skill, in one place (as I understand). Sure, it may be a large area, but still, IN ONE PLACE. Maybe add some adventure, maybe some sort of quests before you can use the table saw, or chop trees in this area, or something fun, so you don't just make it to a certain level of construction, and voila, you're in. Even though I am f2p, I could support it, if it was more than just an area (no matter how large it is) that makes it easier.
  15. Awesome job on the 100k snowballs. Took lots of time I'm sure. Achievement=reached!
  16. Awesome job on the stats. I'm tryin for 99 everything, f2p, but I'll be a little while still. Best of luck on the 99 crafting.
  17. Good job, keep it going... My stats sig shows about 20 months of playing. Pure f2p as well.
  18. Go for it  . If anybody says that they aren't big goals, then it's something they have already achieved, and think you're a noob for not being there yet  . Consider me a supporter.
  19. Bump Anybody, any thoughts? Is this doable? Is it something that people might like to know?
  20. I just created a new character, and I didn't notice all the hair colors, but they do have black and purple.
  21. Some very nice stats you can be assured, but are they just guesses, or have you tried documenting them? I think I will start documenting whenever I get a random from now on. Just as a bit of a fun sidenote...
  22. I have to say that this wouldn't be a good idea. Here's why... It's true, I'm f2p, so I can't do construction. And no, I don't have plans of becoming p2p as of yet. Maybe once I've maxed out my f2p stats. Now on to the answer. I think that we are trying to over sipmlify the game. True, it would be nicer if everything you needed for mining was in one spot... ie: every kind of mining rock, a furnace, a smithing anvil, and a bank. Heck, why not throw in a dwarf that sells every type of pick, a hammer, amulet mold, tiara mold, etc. Then, what if we had a fire rune spawn 10 feet away, and a nature rune spawn next to that. Do you see what I'm getting at? Sure, the crafting guild has a bunch of that stuff, and so do the dwarven mines. But let's stop to think here. If everything was placed conveiniently like that, there would be no fun to the game. There would be no adventure. There would be no CHALLENGE! Isn't that what it's all about? Yeah some things would be nice to have, like a bank closer to the dwarven mines, or maybe even inside the mining guild, but that would just make things easier. Let's try to remember here, the highest ranked players, like Zezima, probably don't complain about having to send their servants out to get planks for them. Why do you?
  23. It's the same thing as when you get frogs. If you're fighting something, and the frogs appear, if you try to talk to the princess, you get attacked again, and after a while, the princess turns you into a frog. Sucks, but thems the breaks.
  24. Have you been playing for 2 years now? Have you heard that player X says that he/she has had 4 genies over their playing career? How about reading the thread about what people collect? So and so, says that they have collected 60 Frog Tokens. Hard to believe? Sometimes. But what if there was a way for you to find out, at least on your own account, how many times you've been attacked by a Shade while training on Ice Giants, or given a box by 'MOM' while fishing lobbies? I wonder how hard it would be for Jagex to tell you how many of each random event you have encountered during your time in Runescape. I would like to see a random event calendar or list, telling me what I have encountered, and how many times. I have been playing Runescape for almost a year now, and I never thought about keeping track myself, untill recently. Maybe it's something for Jagex to consider. Any thoughts from the mass public? Hopefully this topic has not been covered in the past. I haven't seen it before, but I haven't read over every thread either.
