  1. Rule 1 seems to be all encompasing when it comes to in game chatting, talking, or just about anything to do with typing something. As such, this is called an "Umbrella clause". This way, Jagex themselves don't 'spam' their players with rules. I mean really, when you started playing, did you read every rule completely? Every word? I'm think if you did, you didn't want to read anymore, you just wanted to play the game. If you skimmed, did you wanna skim 10 more rules? I for one, find spamming and begging quite offensive. If someone keeps posting @@@@@@@@, or buying all coal, or just . and hitting enter 20 times in a row, I get offended by it. Sure annoying is another word, but doesn't quite do it justice. It is a rule, it is ALREADY under rule 1, leave it there. No support.
  2. Maybe someone reported it and it was ignoring the sandwich lady that was trying to give him a triangle sandwich... On topic, I have never seen this, but it sounds to me like they are just reverting back to their original spawn spot. As for the creatures dissapearing while being fought, no clue...
  3. Too many costumes. Cut it down to 1, maybe 2. Also, I don't know that it would take very long to do this mission. Maybe add some more length to it. Maybe make the sub-basement a maze as well.
  4. I still don't understand these replies... Did you NOT read the entire 17 other messages in this thread??? Yes, we all know it is MAGIC!!!!!!!!!!!!! But you are using MAGIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!! on the piece of paper, not the item. Is it such a hard concept to grasp? Maybe next time, give a reason for saying it's MAGIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!, rather than just getting your post count up?
  5. That's me... Until I am done my house renovations, I am not looking at paying for membership, because I only play, on average, 3 or 4 hours per week. It's not alot of money, but that's not alot of time to play either. As I said before, no support!
  6. Like I said in my very first post, I know the hassle, as I have done it for a long time with steel plates. It would be a little inconvenient for those players alching millions of yew longs as you suggested, but them's the breaks. As I said earlier also, it would help prevent (or at least slow) "auto alching".
  7. This isn't about removing noted items. This is about not being able to alch noted items. Of course they can't remove notes.
  8. Agreed. This topic comes up in one form or another every couple of days. Would be nice, but make things too easy. Not gonna happen.
  9. First of all, thanks everyone for the criticism. I understand the reasoning to changing the way you dip glories, from being able to dip noted, to not. [bleep]egamer, the thing is, the item on the paper is still worth that much, much like a cheque is worth the number you write on it. The only problem is, if you were to "alch" a cheque, you wouldn't get 1mil (otherwise I would have alched a couple of those already), you would get: 1 cheque = $20 for pack of cheques/50 cheques in a package = 0.40 cents per cheque The paper is worth nothing, but what is written on the paper is worth X. Therefore, you trade the note to the store, the store takes the note to the bank, the bank takes the item from your account and gives it to the store. Like I said, the game just skips some steps to make it easier, so noted items don't sit in your account, to avoid scams of selling noted items multiple times before someone can trade in the note and remove the item from your bank. Sinless_Hero, as much of a hassle as this would be to those alching thousands of items, I think it would greatly reduce the number of "autoalchers" out there. I see them all the time, standing by the bank teller, little lights flashing every second or two. Now it may be someone sitting at their comp, clicking over and over, but I would wager a guess, that alot of them are afk alching, using some kind of autoer program. micbar, are you saying that if you have noted items in your possesion, and get killed, you will keep the noted items, and loose other stuff, that is worth more than the noted items? Ex: if you have a noted bronze dagger, you would keep the noted dagger, but loose your rune plate body? darkblade986, that is a reasonable thought. A little strange to me, but a good answer to the question... Ps, I am from Canada, and that's how we spell cheque (check) (as in a way of paying money), just in case you're wondering what the word means :D
  10. I wonder how big it would be though. They changed the glories, so it obviously isn't that hard, but I know nothing about java and coding.
  11. There is a topic on the rants board talking about not being able to dip noted glories anymore. I don't know when this changed, and it really doesn't affect me anyways, since I am f2p. But the discussion got me thinking (as well as posting there) about other noted items... We all know the reason to note items is to be able to carry large amounts of non-stackable items. This aids in selling items in bulk to banks, npc's and other players. But why oh why, can you alch items that are noted... Let's review. I understand why alching is the way it is in the game (ie: noted items), for ease of operations, but I just thought that they changed the way one noted item is used (the glories) to be a little more realistic, so why not others? What does eveyone else think? And please, those who make thousands of yew longs, or steel plates, or whatever, and sit in a bank for hours on end alching stuff, please don't flame. If you're gonna shoot this idea down, please, leave some constructive criticism... By the way, I make lots of steel plates and alch them. Just recently I found out that you could alch noted items, so I know the pain of only alching 27 items at a time before having to bank...
  12. Nope, it will block out your password no matter what it is... even if it is fletching (plus, why anybody would have a pass like that is beyond me). Like I said, you shouldn't be saying your pass in game anyways, but it really should be changed in the answer, seeing as your pass DOES get blocked. Not a huge problem, but yeah, one that really should be changed.
  13. I have been hanging out in the SoS lately. I have noticed one major discrepancy in a question asked at gates... Will Jagex block your password ingame? -Yes. -No. If you pick no, you are told that is correct. Jagex will NOT block your password... But there has been an update some time ago about this. Jagex DOES in essence block your password... I quote from ingame... "You appear to be telling someone your password - please don't!" "If you are not, please change your password to something more obscure!" Why has this not been changed? I know, I know, you shouldn't be saying your password ingame anyways, but is this not giving out false information on Jagex's part? This should really be changed. Edit: If this has already been discussed, sorry, I haven't seen it, and couldn't find anything on it in my search...
  14. No no, just from P2P. They'll have to create a new version of the game, UP2P (Ultra Pay 2 Play). In this version, you get to do whatever you want. Whining members, like the creator of this thread, can re-write the game to the way THEY want it, cause they obviously know how to do it better than Jagex... I know that you have the right to freedom of speech, but seriously, when did you EVER think you would get people to go along with this half-baked scheme to destory the game, for both f2p AND p2p?
  15. I never go to pvp areas, but this sounds like a good idea. I support the limit of 3 or 4 people on one spot.
  16. No no no, NO support. I can cut Yews, but I never go there, cause of the bots. I stay at willows that have nobody else around and do some firemaking at the same time. I would love to cut yews for money and experience, but I can't. Plus, as others have said countless times already, the bots would move to p2p maples, yews, magics... etc. Would you rather see them there? What about mining everywhere? Or fishing more than they are? Bad Idea.
  17. Haha, I looked at this the other day and wanted to resurect it, but didn't wanna get flamed. I too like the idea, to a point. I mean, leave out the Jet Lee and Chuck Norris type kicks and flips, and it could be pretty cool.
  18. I really am starting to wonder about this suggestion. The definition of a wishing well is that you throw in your coin, and make a wish. You don't throw in a penny, and then go and take a coin out, hopping that you'll get a quarter :shame: . Although I do like the idea of this throw and swap, why not change the whole thought of this wishing well idea??? What if, when you throw something in, you have something like a 1:500 chance of getting a random event, ie: your wish. You only get to throw one thing a day into the well, and the random event would be... well, random. So throw in a phat if you want, you can't get it back, and you can't get a green mask instead of it. You may just get a mime event though...
  19. Ummm, two things... First of all, there is already trimmed armour in the game. Secondly, like others have said, there was already a huge topic about this. So two more things. Stop stealing other people/the games ideas and trying to make them your own, and maybe do a little searching through topics before you make yet ANOTHER post about this.
  20. Who are you refering to here? If me, I did have an idea. If not me, nevermind.
  21. You could loose all of your run energy after you swim, whether it is one square, or 10. I know I am always tired after swiming in a river. Too mush current. And yeah, move 1 square lower for every square over you go.
  22. On the sticky of stuff not to suggest. Plus, Gehackte is right, if you want more quests go p2p. I am f2p, but thinking about p2p, just for the quests. If you want to suggest an actual quest, that could be p2p or f2p, I'm sure you would get alot further...
  23. Just start deleting some of the names on your ignore list. What are the chances you'll ever hear from some of them again. I only use my ignore for annoying people, until they leave. Then I clean them off. I have never had a repeat offender yet.
  24. I've seen this lots. While being attacked, it'll tele behind there by accident... or maybe it knows it's safer back there...
  25. Getting rid of p2p and f2p, and having the game free for EVERYBODY!
