some of those pictures are breathtaking. The Nature's window one and the one of NY at night in particular. It sounds like you had one hell of a time. Its something I'd really love to do sometime, the sooner the better.

I tend to doodle, but never keep any of the scraps of paper unless I like what I drew, which is very rarely. I kept last year's Homework planner because I did some fantastic parody/crossover sketches on a couple of pages, but that was during latin, and I know I'll never be bored enough to come up with stuff like that again. I daydream / spin my pen way more than I doodle though.

got RB1 today, and we spent so much time [bleep]ing about with character creation and stuff like that, that we didnt manage to get through all of the on-disc songs in 1 sitting, but we'll probably get through the rest tommorow. The strat is truly truly horrible, and I'm glad LP support is coming for PS3 (already implemented?) but I had a great time with the drums, just today I've gone from easy up to hard, although I still barely pass on hard.

hey.. sometimes these are the tough decisions you have to make in life. also, HiME wasnt really twisty, they just all ended up killing each other, and then opted for a complete u-turn of an ending. Its still one of my favourite series though. Despite all the flak otome gets, I think thats great too.

Kotaku is a fantastic site for news. TIF obviously Scorehero, more and more recently. digg if I'm really really bored and want something midly interesting to read. penny arcade.. for obvious reasons various WAR / WoW sites, and a ton of torrent trackers are also on my most visited list according to Firefox. the most stupid site on the internet is youtube. Sometimes the comments just blow my mind with their sheer stupidity... and then that its not just 1 idiotic comment, its a whole thread of them, and they just fuel each other.

I prefer to take my games sans rootkits and un-deletable files, but thats just me.

geass is back to what made it so good for a good section of R2. stupid twists ridiculous plotlines and cliffhangers galore. I am of course still expecting the "omedetou" ending even after they kinda half did it in ep 21. and Nina will never. ever. redeem herself. no matter how hard the writers try. starting soul eater today. I've heard its great.

the scattergun is ridiculously powerful at short range. 2 blasts can take a heavy with any luck. In my opinion its better to use that in close combat than a bonk.

It's not a bad idea, and it's hard to play something that doesn't exist. ;) No, we don't "know enough about science". The search for truth is one of the noblest ideals, and science, as far as we know, is the best way to pursue truth about our universe. Who is going to benefit? Who knows? The ramifications in terms of technology for the average person probably won't be felt for a very long time, but even if it never brings anything useful, who cares? Like I said, it will give us a better understanding of the universe, and that knowledge alone is worth the money. Ok I know that you're in the right. I've been arguing with my dad about this for a few days and I know I'm in the wrong, and yet I still think it's just a bad idea... Couldn't we have spent 4 billion on something that would benefit the world for certain, rather than hanging hopes on this? I can certainly see where you're coming from, but in a way, this is for the good of humankind just as much as spending the money on humanitarian or environmental causes would be, just in a very different way.

ah, the first week I played it was probably for about half an hour a day, if that. I didnt actually own a GH game until about 6 months after I first played one, and having played on average about 10 minutes a day for those 6 months I was on expert when I first got GH3.

if thats your first week of playing then thats amazingly good. At the end of my first week my biggest accomplishment was being able to pass 1 song on hard. How much have you been playing per day?

I think I just had a serious burnout with my rogue after playing him so much over the summer. I'll give it a rest for a week or so and see how I feel.

I love how the scaremongers make it sound like it 100% will create a black hole that will 100% definitely destroy the universe. The chance of that actually happening is so infintessimally small, and the knowledge we can gain is so great, that doing it is just a no-brainer, plain and simple. on a semi-related note; who saw mock the week on thursday?

tru dat. but the only people who play that are people who are too insanely fast to find other games a challenge. So it balances out.
