In all fairness, Herman Li is a good guitarist, I dont get why people cant seem to admit that. yes, a lot of studio effects are used in dragonforce's stuff to make it sound better, yes, he's apparently quite sloppy live, but hell, he's still a DAMN good player by anybody's standards. Not the best, but not LOLOLCRAP as some people make him out to be.

Watching the superbowl isnt about the actual, game, its about the experience. You dont spend most of the time watching the damn thing, you spend most of the time eating and drinking. Its fun to do with a few mates, even in england, where it starts at 11pm, I still find it worth staying up all night. I do enjoy watching american football in general though, and I know a lot of people dont. Proper football is still miles better though.

WTF? I consistently pass it now and I only get ~320k :lol: was only the intro holding me back. I pretty much FCed both of the grinding scales sections , which is about 50k or so points in itself, and hit some really random stuff which I had no right to be able to hit. It was one hell of a run and theres no way I'll get that high again any time soon.

The OP to LS is pretty good, actually. And the EDs (>13) were always great that Shiraishi sang various KyoAni songs. And as far as plot goes, it doesnt particularly matter. Its about a socially inept otaku, twin shrine maidens (one whom is moe and the other tsundere), an oppai megane, a moe moe imouto, an american weeaboo and a doujinshika with a thing for her friends. Whatever spawns from that is somewhat worth watching atleast. And watch past the first episode. people who arent anime junkies will get exactly 0 information from that paragraph.

you watched the first episode didnt you. first 4 episodes have a different director, and they arent as good. To be honest, I dont think its gets particularly good until about episode 16 when they introduce all the side characters properly. :twss:

I even like Rolo better than her, and thats bloody Rolo. also also - watched the first death note live action. It was fairly decent, nothing compared to the anime / manga, right up until that last shot, which was one of the OH MY GOD AWESOME! moments that made the anime great.

you have no idea how much nina hate there is until you're full up to date with season 2. Yes, that is Kallen's signature angle and to be honest, it doesnt get any smarter, so to speak, as it goes on.

the end of the fuko arc in clannad. I was BAWWWing for days. also most of the last 2 episodes of gurren lagann. Manly tears of awesomeness.

You stopped at episode 7... 1 episode before the MASSIVE twist and the series turns on its head and becomes a ton more awesome.

hayate no gotoku was [bleep]ing great. All of the side characters were awesome (especially Isumi. Even though she got lost every episode it never ever got less funny.) and the general sillyness of it was just great. Cad man, you're missing the point of ZnT. The main plot IS boobs, todays episode was entirely based around them fgs. also, is it just a massive coincidence that louise and nagi, the two most annoyingly tsundere characters ever have the same VA? I think not. I guess you dont like mecha shows. normally I'm not a fan, but Geass isnt really about the mecha (at least s1 wasnt) and Gurren Lagann is not a mecha show. It just happens to include the most badass one ever.

of course! what perfect logic! I darent even touch kanji atm, I know all the hiragana (it took a long long time) and about half the katakana. The books I'm using have most of the vocab in kana, with the romanji next to it. Its just a useful stepping stone to help the transition. If you had to refer back to the list of kana every time you forgot one just for one word it would just be plain annoying.

You troll worse than Italians wage war. epic burn. from the other thread: Clannad is one of my favourites of all time, and man you are lucky to have that as your first serious anime. I watched The melancholy first, then Lucky star as a logical progression, then Clannad followed simply because it was what KyoAni were doing that season. Some of my other personal favourites are fullmetal panic (especially fumoffu) Full Metal Alchemist, Bleach, Death note, Love Hina, Chobits, Azumanga Daioh, Abenobashi Magical Shopping Arcade, Neon Genesis Evangelion, Welcome to the NHK, Negima, MY-Hime and to a lesser extent My-Otome and all of its related sequel rubbish Currently I'm watching Code geass - Seriously all of you. Watch this, starting from season one. It is the most awesome thing on at the moment. I'm on the edge of my seat all week waiting for the next episode Spice and wolf - slow paced, but nice plot and good artwork. I'm enjoying it so far. Zero no tsukaima - Season 3 has just started and its decent. to be honest its pretty mindless fanservice most of the time, but its also damn funny. Gundam 00 - In b4 LOLOLGUNDAM. Get a grip. Its a good series, the english dubs just raped them. I'm liking this a lot more than the older ones. D. Gray Man - The only way I can think of describing this is bleach crossed with full metal alchemist. but to be honest, that makes it sound way more awesome than it actually is. Give it a look if you like them though. And finally, just because I cant post in an anime thread without plugging my 2 favourite shows EVER The melancholy of Haruhi suzumiya and Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann If you havent watched this, you have. not. lived. Simple as that.

I've FCed the solo on slow, and its pretty simple, but the snakey bit just kills me on full speed. It always feels awesome to come out of the last bit with a 4x on a real run though. When you do it in front of people they're like.. woah! Because it looks way harder than it is. :o -9 on SOSaD. It wasnt long ago I was struggling to 5* that.

code geass will tear your mind and heart to shreds. I still havent watched the last 12 episodes of FMA, got to ep 40 and my DVD player broke, I really should watch them.. the ending is supposed to be OMGWTF awesome after all.

well, lets put it this way, conan got WoW down to about 96% before it wiped, and I havent even seen any other mmos that have gotten past the trash yet.
