It would have to be the ranger boots, I find a fury very useful. So might as well consider it a long term investment. I personally use a granite shield instead of Obby, that will save a little bit of cash. Remember that you can sell those items quite easily once you are done with them. So might as well consider buying them all. EDIT: Besides ranger boots are going to be hard to get right now as they are hard to buy even at max.

On my pure I really didnt care much about stats so I decided that I was going to use world 16 and use the assist way to craft air runes. Just look for a person assiting 8x or 9x and you should make money quite fast. But before you assist check out the person on Runescape highscores, to be sure that they are telling the truth. Remember though you will not get any experience for using this way. But its decent money since your skills arent that great.

Although I will admit that what you are saying is kind of applies to his problem. But he is having it with every thing, like turning on prayer. I hate the bank problem as well. After 4.5 years of playing the game you kind of get used to the old way. I wish they would switch it back.

I believe I am going to finally finish it, but I have some questions about my latest try. Well I got easily to the healers, got hit a couple times but I got my health back. But the healers managed to heal Jad to full health. Somebody told me that if that happened I had to kill all the healers so that they dont spawn back when jad reaches half health again. So I managed to kill all the healers. Then when i got Jad back to half health, they came back again and this time I was low on Hp and out of pots. And they managed to kill me. So my question is fairly simple what do I do when Jad goes back to full health because of the healers.

Dragon slayer I believe only gives you strength and defence experience, so if he is ranged based then he will not gain any levels because of the strength xp.

I am guessing he is f2p, so probably 35k xp/hour. 2 weeks at max. Right but im f2p too and I got about 60k but my stats are higher then his...he can get at least 40k/ hr im sure and if not try flesh crawlers. They are better exp the faster you kill them(cheaper and have drops) . Which monsters did you get 60k at and what are your stats. I had been f2p for 3 years and never got that much.

Fastest fishing xp I have ever gotten is at Shilo village, so I would suggest doing that. Its not good money but it is definately fastest.

If you are training defence then why arent you doing dragon slayer, getting strength/attack levels shouldnt matter towards your combat level.

Should I just keep at long range the whole time because I find out that as soon as I am concentrating at something other than his attacks I usually end up dying. But I will do what you said thanks!

The best spot used to be in alkharid where there were three rocks and if you timed it right, you could get all three rocks. But i believe they removed that so just try the regular spots with 2 rocks. Go to a world with a lot more people so that the ores spawn faster. Just to tell you the usual spots: East Varrock Dwarven mines Al kharid

Well I got back to the healers, but while I was attacking them I tried to attack the healer that was behind jad. So I ended up rushing right into Jad and his meelee attack which koed me. So another question while I try for what feels like the 10th time to get that cape, is there a weapon that has further range than a crossbow. By this I mean is there a range weapon that I can equip when the healers come that will allow me to get them if they are further away from my range. Thanks.

Another question I have is if he healers manage to heal Jad fully I heard when you bring him down to half health they respawn, should I worry about that?

Well predictably I died again, so going to try again today. Except this time my mom was yelling at me and I was really distracted. :lol: This is going to be my sixth try so wish me luck guys. Sound will help for this, as will keeping in your head about when he's going to attack again. If you know that he's about to attack and he makes that motion, he's probably maging. Also be aware that if you mess up, you actually have a good chunk of time to switch back without taking damage. Change back to the right prayer as soon as you realize what you've done, even if you think it's too late (unless you already have the red 60 on you, of course). Thanks the mage attack is so hard to see properly, sometimes he doesnt even do it properly.

Will try that soon, do you think the sound helps or should I stick to the animation. Another thing that confuses me is his mage attack. Especially the animation when he is being attacked looks exactly like when he is doing his mage attack and I get confused switch prayers when i shouldnt have.
