The picture is misleading, its a real photo but its close to the camera so perspective is a bit off and if you look carefully its actually two not just one spider.

Ive always said that if you gave people benefits for donating (no adverts, larger avatars/sigs, larger pm box space etc) then you'd see a significant increase in the amount of donations.

Camel spiders (Solifugae) are real and they can run at up to 10mph but the rest of the story is bogus. They dont jump hige distances, they don't attack humans and even if they did they dont have any anaesthetic and wont gnaw at you all night thats for sure. the biggest risk of a bite from a camel spider is infection afterwards from the wound. They are sometimes kept as household pets and all the nasty stories are just told to scare the new requruits into the middle east by the veterans.

Immoral though. Of course one might also argue that turning other peoples text into advertising links is also immoral.

Yeah that was a great show. We used to have it in the UK on radio and on TV but after we sold the format to the US it was never on again :( You can still see loads of the ex-cast around the country in comedy clubs though. About half the guys in the Comedy Store Players were on Who's line including Richard Vranch who's from Frome (the town where i live).

I think that the green underlined links would be perfectly acceptable for the tip.it main page where the content is written by staff but anything which is user generated such as forum topics this should not be allowed. p.s Speedofsound > Tip.it doesnt get extra ad revenue just by having them. It is clicks which generate the income not impressions.

Confusion may arise of course when in my own posts words are highlighted and link to sites for which i stand very strongly against. I would not be happy if my posts links to organisations for which I do not approve for example. I am sure other people may feel the same, its one thing turning on in-line ads for a website for which you create all the content but on something such as a forum then can be a bit of agro caused by this feature.
