Just saw the new Hitchhikers film. was the first film i saw. effects were incredible and it stayed relatively true to the books but it certainly wasnt as good as the 1980's mini series

Have you tried taking the new ram sticks out and seeing how it works. Perhaps also keep the kensington ones in and taking out the other stick. Be sure to put them in the right slots if your mobo pairs ram to full effect. Also check all cables inside your computer to make sure you didnt accidently pull some our or loose when you had the case open

You say it costs a lot to make a horror movie but I dissagree. The Descent had a budget of ÃÆââ¬Å¡Ãâã3.5m and made over ÃÆââ¬Å¡Ãâã7m in UK cinemas alone. Its had a massive success in DVD sales and a pretty good response in Europe at theatres too. Its also scheduled to be released over in the US in theatres later this year. the problem with hollywood is that it thinks $10 million dollar contracts with "star" actors and $50 millions worth of CG is substitute for a good story and quality acting.

My top 5 British Horror movies: 1. Alien (British director, cast members, equipment, finding and filming location) 2. The Descent 3. Shaun of the Dead 4. An American Werewolf In London 5. 28 Days Later Ive seen all those films recently and have them all on DVD ^_^ British horror > hollywood horror. Now im not saying that Americans cant do horror at all, I mean Candyman, The Thing and Dawn of the Dead are just a few examples of great American horror. However, these films are all quite old now and I cant really think of any decent horror from hollywood in the last decade. I think with more incentive now from investors into British film some great directors and writers can come out of the shadows and take British horror to the top of the genre. :D

Maybe you can rent it from work or something? I dont think it got a release over in Holland tho. Pretty sure it was released on DVD in Germany tho too.

WOW! What can i say?.. I just watch the special edition dvd of 'The Descent' and it was amazing. Brit horror at its best. Excellent character development and great effects (for a film with no CG). Its got a great anti-hollywood ending and is actually scary. The sound track is great to keep you in suspense, it shows a lot of similarities to John Carpenter's 'The Thing' with the "boom boom" heartbeat music. The mentality of the characters and the spiral into something primal gives hints and nods to 'The Shining', and of course the creatures and atmosphere is very 'Alien'. Theres references to some of the best horror and thriller movies ever made and I have high hopes for Neil Marshall's next project sometimes next year ^_^ The same year that this film was released (over here) another film came out called 'The Cave' which has a very similar description. However dont be deceived thinking its the same film just one American and one Brit because they are totally different. 'The Descent' had a budged about $20million less than the cave and looks like it had one $20million more lol. The cave has dreadful unlikable characters with rubbish "monster" development. Its the typical hollywood "scare" movie which really fails on every angle. If you liked 'The Cave' then you are probably more into bang bang non stop plotless action and will probably not understand 'The Descent', but if you want to be scared and want a film which has much deeper meaning than it obvious then go and see 'The Descent' because quite frankly its my new favourite British film (not including Alien). Sorry Simon Pegg but Shaun of the Dead goes to second now :D For all Europeans go and get the DVD of it now on R2 :D and for you yanks then wait until a bit later this year for it to get a cinema release. ^_^ 9.5/10

What do you mean "sometimes it works and sometimes it doesnt". Can you provide information on when the occurances have happen when it hasnt worked and if any error messages have displayed etc.

Thanks Zonda but this exlpoit is almost a month old now and the patch has been around for almost 2 weeks.

It could be for several reasons... Most likely is that the memory you got from your friend is not the same as the other stick of memory in your computer. Memory also tends to work much more efficiently in pairs than with one extra one. Check the order of the sticks of ram and post exactly what they are here along with the model of computer/motherboard you have and we might be able to tell a bit better what the issue could be

Last episode of season 1 was on wednesday and after it they said that series 2 would be showing in spring. Which is pretty cool as its only a few months away. Starting to catch up on the Americans :D
