  1. In the process of editing above post. I'm forced to make a second post as my computer is going incredibly slow in submitting my edited post. Disregard the current comment.. I was too abrupt in posting it.
  2. Cheating for 4 years is a long time. You're the one man I;ve seen to actually admit to it in the open. That's suprising, to be honest. Even though you do claim to be an ex-cheater, you are still liable to be banned... Like I said, 4 years is a long time. I doubt Jagex would very much think twice about locking all of your accounts. :? You seem to believe you're free from this bannable offence because you "quit". That's really like saying a murderer can get away with his crime if he hides for 40 years without hurting so much as a fly. It just doesn't work like that. Honestly, I believe you should be banned from Runescape. I might sound harsh, but it's just simple facts here.. Yes, you stopped cheating. Good job. But did you cheat before? Yes. And this isn't a minor offence.. This is 4 years of cheating you've admitted to... Jagex can't just let that slide. Now to adress what you seem to be claiming here... You're saying the Runescape market would crash without macroers. I honestly don't see how that matters at all. The Runescape market was made by players, and is changed by players. Prices aren't set in stone, and have to go by it all the time. I could go out and sell a phat for 1k if I wanted to (and had one). Or I could sell it for 1bil. That doesn't matter. Macroers do not matter. Macroers are cheaters... Cheaters who are too damn lazy to play a game themselves, and greedy for pixels for whatever reason. Maybe they just want to get that cool santa, or shoot for a phat. Maybe they want to sell it for real world profit. Whatever they chose to do, they're choosing to cheat the game, and should be punished for it. That punishment is IP banning. That shouldn't change, or be excused for any reason. So what if the market prices change because of it? Macroers are an infestation. A plague that has riddled the yew trees, and cluttered the shops all over Runescape. What happens to plagues and infestations? They're removed. That's simply how it should be. :
  3. The rallies are currently canceled.. I'll add in more big bold letters above the rally info.
  4. Syzygy? Yeah, don't you know Syzygy :P ....wait, who's Syzygy :-s . Syzygy is the #1 F2P player. He has all nonmembers kills at 99 except for prayer, crafting and runecrafting. For now he's the #1 player. Just give me one more year :P ... Lol, give me about 3 years and some method of automatic feeding and waste removal, and I'll get right on up there. *cough* Back to campaign talk, please.
  5. Calling it "gestapo" can be very offensive to certain people.. :?
  6. That's still an option I'm looking into.
  7. Who brought back a two year old topic?...
  8. : Who knows, we're about the same level... How about it, bambino? I'll take you on with my knuckles and bone. Man to man, flesh to flesh, through blood and sweat... Sounds like a blast. *Pots up*
  9. When you give your friend an extra Christmas Cracker.
  10. Rofl, I see Mortemus! XD Silly old chap.. Wonder what he's doing there..
  11. Lol, I guess I'm glad I don't look like a noob anymore... It can't really be flame war when it's intelligent.. :P If I had said "Pmg bambino u such a n00b!21@!@! Go pl4y in traff11c!12!@", or some other profoundly immature statement that directs an insult, then it would be a flame war. But seeing as we're not, and we're both refraining from using leet speak, it's just a mature argument. ;) Something that I would be happy to continue with him.
  12. Err.. Would you mind rephrasing that with proper grammer and more detail on what the hell you're trying to talk about.
  13. Yes, and that is only partially correct. The updates of runescape are NOT losing maturity AT ALL. Ofcourse, you haven't witnessed all to many of them, as a F2P player. Why can't you just accept that even though you have a point, most of your arguments are not even founded on something real ;) That's the last I'll say, we can keep going forever, and I usually tend to do so :P Not losing maturity? Err... Didn't you read my article? I stated about half a dozen points that were just off the top of my head.. And now you're blaming me fore being F2P? Lol. Mm, you said I have a point... Well, I guess my article accomplished what it was written for, then. I made a point. That's it. That's all it was written for... Like I said in my previous post, it was an opinion article, and doesn't need evidence to back it up. For Guthix's sake, it's pretty bloody obvious that the maturity level isn't quite as high as it used to be. What exactly do I need to found it on? Do I need to make some sort of petition of people that agree with my statement? You can't give evidence about something that has to do with maturity, as maturity isn't a physical object/document/recorded statement. The bit about Miniclip adds to that view. You know as well as I do that Miniclip brought in a surge of younger gamers... And unless you're completely arrogant to the world, you should also know that young age usually comes with immaturity. Not always, granted, but the majority rules. See my first response in this thread for more detail on that part.. And I could keep going like this as well, thank you very much. ;) My opinions and views are my own, and I have every right to express them. No arguments against them will change that.
  14. http://www.gamasutra.com/php-bin/news_i ... tory=13769 According to Andrew, membership was spawned from lack of funds, not greed. Exactly. It's what happens to every free game ;). I remember quite a few MMORPG's that used to be free 2 play, but eventually had to make the change towards pay to play. Of those, RuneScape is one of the cheapest ;) I challenge you to keep a game, comparable in size to runescape, on ONLY advertisement adds. Oh yes, and it's your main income as well as that of dozen others. Good luck Prankster, I'll drop the title king for now :/ That is an interesting find. (The link, that is) But my opinion remains. I do believe we've gotten slightly off topic... The entire point of the article was to express my opinion. What opinion is that? The maturity level of Runescape is falling, and has been since the advertisement in Miniclip, due to obvious reasons. That's it. Somehow, people have been twisting its meaning all over the place. :| Why am I saying that? Isn't it obvious?... I don't need hard evidence to back up the fact that the maturity of Runescape is going downhill. Just go into Varrock on a busy world, and watch what happens around you for a while. You'll see. Go to another world, and do the same. There it is again. The maturity of Runescape's players is declining... Why is it so hard for people to understand that that's all I'm trying to say? And the entire part about just calling me "Prankster"... Lol. Three letters are my reply to that.
  15. You stated that Jagex hasn't done "ANYTHING" to gain more money... Do I need to point out that there used to be just F2P, and no paying members? And that P2P was an update for them to increase profits? :-w
  16. I liked your response. But what do you propose we DO about the immaturity rise? At this point, there's really nothing we can do. As you know, there's over 1million payers in Runescape. With an audience that large, it's near impossible to attempt to raise the age group and maturity level... My reccomendation? Well, you can just put up with it as some people have stated. Or if it gets overly aggrivating, you can leave. It's just a game, after all, and you have no obligation to stay in it if you don't want to.
  17. Very interesting reads, I'll say that much. I'm going to take a moment to reply to a few accusations made about me. To Foodfight13: You mentioned that you think I am a player killer. Would you mind going into a bit more detail on that? Do I pk? Of course. I must say that pking is the main attraction for us F2P'ers. But do I want people to die by walking into dangerous areas? No. But neither do I want a million of those warning messages stuffed in my face all the time. It's not just a personal issue with it... It's about the excitement of the game that they're taking away with so many warnings. Life is a dangerous thing. True, there are warning labels on your nearby can of bugspray, but do you see any danger signs above alleyways, saying "WARNING!: You may be mugged. Enter at your own risk"? What a funny sight that would be. True, players should be warned of certain dangers.. But not in a way that's so direct and upfront. Hints.. That's what they need. Hints to the upcoming danger. Like a darkened room... Skeletons on the ground... Little details that a traveler would notice. The suspence would build, while also telling this person "Something dangerous may be around the corner". They don't need a ton of popups to cover up their screen, saying " DANGER DANGER" in big bold letters. How recently did I retire, you asked? Maybe a month ago, maybe two. I'd just like to take note, though, that I do play the game at a mild rate currently. I have certain in-game issues that I'm tieing up in that time. So I think it's pretty safe to say I'm up to date on how Runescape is working right now... In reply to the comments on Miniclip not bringing down the maturity level: Yes, I daresay it has. People will say that people in Runescape were already immature, and that Miniclip didn't affect it. True, there was already some immaturity in Runescape. I won't deny that, and I'm not going to say Runescape used to be completely mature. But when Miniclip started advertising the game, all of the kids that played games like Club Penguin came in. With them came the average maturity you get with preteens. I'm not accusing them for it... I'm stating a fact that's generally accurate. It's because they're younger that they aren't quite as mature as older teens and adults. They can't help it, it's how they are, and it's how they grow up. The blame goes to Jagex for allowing the advertisement of the game in Miniclip. Yes, they are a company. Yes, they want more money. Duh. I already know that, thank you very much. I'm glad it's been clarified a dozen times. But the thing is is that Jagex is money hungry, and downgraded the maturity level of Runescape because of their greed. It is Jagex's undoing that Runescape is falling to the younger age group. It is because of them that the Runescape worlds are filled with younger players who just haven't aged enough to learn to play fair, or refrain from insulting one another when they don't get their way. Not all of them are like that, I know. I've met quite a few nicer ones who actually sound much like an older teen. But they are not the majority... The world is about majorty rules. If the majority of Runescape has younger kids, the game is going to updated to fit the need for the young. Simple as that.
  18. I have my doubts about there being a RS3. They make enough money off of RS2 as it is. :XD:
  19. The rally went reasonably well. We had maybe 7 people in the begining, which grew to 15ish with randoms that tagged along. I'm extremely sorry about ending it early.. A very urgent matter came up that I had to go tend to. I did not take any pics of this rally. Urgent News: From this point on, the rallies are temporarily canceled. I'm looking to other options for the campaign. Currently, the weekly rallies aren't going as well as I'd hoped. It was pointed out in RSC that having rallies at less frequent times may give them a better outcome. I'm going to test that theory with monthly rallies. Info on that will be posted shortly. I will also be updates the main post shortly, clarifying the change.
  20. Yes, the rally is today! And Min, I'm not sure what you're getting at...
  21. There's really not alot of good spots there.
  22. White Knights in the Falador White Knight's Castle.
