Got a dragonstone from cave horrors today :) I also got 65 strength so I went to Warriors' Guild. There I got 59 defence and 85 combat. I think I'll do Smoking Kills tomorrow so I can start collecting slayer points :) I also got all the defenders. 86 kills total to get bronze-dragon. Now I just need 19k more defence xp to use the dragon defender -.-

No black mask yet (I killed maybe around 100 cave horrors), but I finally got a nature talisman! I have enough natures for alching drops, but if I ever have to mass-alch something (bows maybe - I have 3.4k maple logs in my bank already) I need to make my own runes. I also got a clue scroll, but it wasn't that good - zamorak arrows, some laws and natures, black d'hide chaps and mahogany planks. I think I'll try getting 65 attack and strength tomorrow, though I must get some food first. Around 20k attack xp and 40k strength xp left :)

Some possible tasks I can think of: Summon a ghast familiar Use the ouroboros pouch against a ghast Build something while wearing the construction outfit Open a silver chest in Shades of Mort'ton Kill a cave horror Play a round of Trouble Brewing (elite task because it's pretty much impossible to find players lol) Teleport with the ectophial Charm 50% Luke with the ring of Charos Craft a snelm Kill a werewolf with the wolfbane dagger Do two (maybe even more) Barrows runs (killing all six brothers) without leaving the area Charter to Port Phasmatys Wear a bedsheet Light a Haunted Woods torch Kill a mutated bloodveld Make a talon beast pouch at the nature spirit's grotto Make a blessed silver sickle from scratch in Morytania Make a flail of Ivandis from scratch in Morytania Go through the Meiyerditch "agility course"

As I said, I'm not sure if I'll start playing again yet ;) Today I got 50 gp and a sardine from the wheel. What's the point of including total crap like sardines on the wheel anyway? <_< Anyway, 7k xp to 58 slayer. I'm not sure if I'm exactly looking forward to camping cave horrors (it took me a few hundred kills to get a mask drop on my main, but then I got three of them very quickly - the last two were less than 10 minutes apart), but a black mask would be incredibly useful. Current task is fungal mages, which means that I'll probably get 69 magic today too :)

The new Squeel of Fortune could be an EPIC source of money, if I had any luck. Got 40 steel arrows and a feather today. Meh -.- I think I'll get 58 slayer tomorrow, after which I can camp cave horrors for a black mask or until I get 65 attack and strength. That is, assuming that I actually start playing again. Not sure yet.

Possibility of a members free trial in the coming months
The problem is that most of F2P content is over 10 years old; F2P and P2P are very different nowadays. For example: In F2P quests you rarely do anything except talk to people and fetch stuff for them, and the quests are very short. There are no storylines. P2P quests often give access to completely new areas. You have to solve puzzles, fight powerful bosses and so on. The longest quests can take hours to complete. There are a lot of great storylines. Most F2P monsters only melee, and require no strategy at all. No monster really requires combat level higher than around 50. There are melee, mage, range, magical melee and magical range monsters in P2P, and many of them combine different styles. The strongest bosses require a combat level of well over 100, and even then you usually need a team to fight them. You need different equipment for different monsters. I could do many more comparisons, but my point is that F2P is not a slice of the members' "cake"; it's a completely different cake.

Possibility of a members free trial in the coming months
there is currently no trial for the full game. f2p dose not do a good job at really showing you the potential of p2p It is however a free trial or demo of the full game, limited in features the same way any demo or trial is. How many trials allow you to get the maximum level you can get in skills? Can you name a single one that doesn't have a level cap? I don't know about games, but many Android apps seem to work like this. You have a totally free "Lite" version, which has limited features but you can use it for as long as you want, a trial of the full version, which has full features but limited time, and then the full version.

Best Pet Troll names?!
Mine's currently "Falador teleport". I wanted to have something totally random.

price of the new flasks?
How about this: To fill a flask, you actually need to create a potion in it; you can't add doses from a vial to a flask. However, you can decant freely between flasks. If you add the last dose in a flask to another, the flask will break.

200M in all Skills
Statistics and random chance seem to be hard concepts for people. You're certainly not the only one. It's easy to calculate by yourself though. As Wikipedia says, with 23 people you have 253 possible pairs. The chance of a pair sharing the same birthday is 1/365, so the chance of at least one in 253 pairs sharing the same birthday is 1 - ( (364 / 365) ^ 253 ) = ~0,5 = 50%. It's easier to understand if you think about the possible pairs anyway, as Wikipedia again says. The number of possible pairs rises exponentially, so with 50 people you can already make 1225 pairs, and with 100 you can make 4950 pairs. Well, I'm not going to discuss it any further, because it's not really my problem and it's off-topic anyway. You're still much better than the idiots on RSOF.

16-Jan-2012 - Hati & Sköll
The milestones section in skill guides is a very nice idea, but there are still several things I'd add to the lists. [hide=List]Cooking: cavefish Farming: fruit trees Firemaking: adze Fishing: cavefish Hunter: creatures Magic: combat spells (fire blast, fire wave, fire surge; ice burst, ice barrage; god spells; polypore staff at least), staff of light ganodermic armor (maybe Ahrim's set too) and fix the over-sized icons Mining: granite, living rock caverns Prayer: chivalry, piety, soul split Summoning: war tortoise[/hide] And by the way, I'm going to solo Hati and Sköll as soon as the other players leave. Hopefully.

The Great Tip Pic of 2012
Here's an easy tutorial for removing the background with GIMP: [hide]1. Take a screenshot of your character. Open it in GIMP. 2. Select Layer > Transparency > Add Alpha Channel from the menu. 3. Choose the "Select by color" tool . Below the tool box, you should see a "threshold" slider . Set it to 2.0. 4. Click on the background. It should select everything but your character. 5. Press delete key. It should remove the background. 6. Finally choose Image > Autocrop image. If nothing happens, there are some pixels left around the edges; zoom in and do steps 4 & 5 until all the pixels are removed and then try autocrop again. 7. Save the image as .png. And that's it. If you have problems, just ask.[/hide] Tif name: Tiigon Runescape Name: Thunderforce Picture: Url: http://img838.imageshack.us/img838/263/thunderforce.png

Pretty useless to be honest. The players will find a way to gamble no matter what Jagex does- The Runar's DIY blog — OSRS ultimate ironman
Now that the Barrows week is over, I need to choose what to do next. Some goals I'm (probably) doing eventually: - 60 mining for Lunar Diplomacy - 57 herblore for Fairy Tale part 2 (I already have all the skills for part 3) - 69 herblore for antifires, after which I could camp metal dragons until I get a rune axe hatchet (maybe I'll get one from level 3 clues, though...) - 70 magic just for the sake of it :P - Hotfix: Toy Horsey Phrases
