  1. What antivirus do you use?
  2. Unfortunately the internet archives are quite slow, and do not give access to any kind of API, which is what we use for our tools. Although we have a built in radio/mp3 player, yes this is an interesting idea, and wou.d be doable for Spotify which has a very friendly API, but I am not familiar with any iTunes tools.
  3. debug.txt is found in the installation folder for SwiftKit. This dependso n your ow nsettings, but the default is C:\Program Files (x86)\SwiftKit

    help?

Kyvrn, that statement made little sense. SwiftKit uses the Internet Explorer hook in Windows for all it's websites, this essentially means if it works in IE, it'll work in SwiftKit. Have you tried clearing your jagex cache before running SK?
  5. Sounds like your java might be causing some issues, you could try re-installing java by following the steps in the article at http://kb.swiftkit.net/question-runescape-wont-load.html
  6. Hi, Do you have any other firewall program installed, often we see this with people who are not aware that for example their Antivirus software comes bundles with it's own firewall.
  7. What antivirus do you have installed on your machine?
  8. Have you tried updating your graphics drivers?
  9. You could run the java auto updater, usually found in the lower right hand corner of your computer by the clock.
  10. What is your DPI set to? (I know simmo asked some questions concerning this, but at such a high resolution I'd like to make sure)
  11. Just a heads up, if switching from DirectX to OpenGL fixed it, this might indicate a problem with your graphics drivers. If you prefer the performance under DirectX you might want to look into updating/re-installing your drivers :)
  12. Seems like this might be an issue with Internet Explorer, does your Internet Explorer work in general, also what version of Windows/IE are you running?
  13. Firstly, Windows XP is terribly old, just pointing out the obvious. Now, did you check your version of java using Internet Explorer? If no, please do so as SwiftKit relies on Internet Explorer, also if you have both java 6 and 7 installed remove java 7 and everything associated with it as it's not working too well with RS, and has numerous vulnerabilities as of late. If you did check using IE, I'd do the check for multiple java instances bit any way and then get back to us.
  14. Hi, This is because each browser has it's individual version of java, downloading it for Opera does not mean you get the same version for Internet Explorer. To ensure you get it for Internet Explorer (which is what SwiftKit uses) please visit http://java.com/en/download/manual_v6.jsp usign Internet Explorer and download the offline installer for java.
  15. Restart your machine, then run SwiftKit as admin, does the same happen?
  16. Please see the following Knowledge Base article;http://kb.swiftkit.net/question-run-time-error-339---lavolpealphaimg-ocx.html
  17. Hi, If this happens it's most likely because our request to look up the stats failed. Unfortunately, Jagex did not provide us with a user friendly interface for fetching stats, so we had to make one our selves, which some times gets throttled because we make too many requests for stats. The only solution is to give it a few seconds and try again, it varies when people get this "bug" but as it is there's no way to prevent it I'm afraid. We have some potential solutions up our sleeves, but have not tested these yet so they are not ready for release.
  18. Hi, Did you just download SwiftKit, or has it been installed for a while? This seems to be an error we discovered a while back but we released a fix for it.
  19. Hi, We are working on this, but since there are many things to take into consideration we are releasing updates for what uses Old School stats in chunks but should be getting to the combat calc soon.
  20. Seems it might be a java issue, I'd recommend trying to reinstall java6.
  21. Certainly, the download is at http://java.com/en/download/manual_v6.jsp (Keep in mind java IS working to remove it completely apparently, so it's worth getting while you can). If you are doing an uninstall of previous version, please do it in the following order; Uninstall previous versions of java Restart your computer Download the above file using Internet Explorer (it's important that you use IE for this step) Install java Restart your computer once more You are now good to go. The restarts are semi-important, because they ensure that the uninstall/install cleans up properly and doesn't leave temporary files that can cause issues later on.
  22. Depends what version of java you are using, both we and Jagex recommend sticking to the Java6 branch as RuneScape doesn't work too well on Java7 (also Java7 is the one that's had a lot of bad press recently due to all the security holes).
  23. Jagex launched the old (new?) RuneScape 2007 servers not many minutes ago (at the time of this posting), and we'd like to assure you, our users, that SwiftKit will have support for Old School RuneScape as well! We will need a few days to get things sorted, but rest assured that in a couple of days an update will be out for you all! So in light of this, a quick F.A.Q. with what most people will be wondering, we'll keep this updated throughout until Old School is officially released. How do I play Old School on SwiftKit? Old School is available trough the RuneScape main website, access it using the "Play RS" button like you normally would, and under their banner a new button labeled "Play Old School" will take you to the Old School page (We may make this easier for you to access once Old School is officially released, or earlier if you behave ;) ). Will the calculators still work? They most certainly will, most of them at least. Some calculators use new data (like the slayer calculator, and combat calculator), but for skills you'll just get some extra skill buttons available as it stands, but you should be able to use them just fine. Can I look up my character on the Hiscores? Yes this can be done by selecting the Old School check box in the top right of your screen. Can't you just bring back SwiftSwitch! Unfortunately, SwiftSwitch has not aged that well, there are a few key points that keep us from releasing it at this time, we may look into it, but we make no promise. SwiftKit is our primary focus, and it should be just as useful to you on Old School servers as new servers. I have a great idea for what SwiftKit needs now that Old School servers are live! That is awesome! Suggestions and input from our users is what helps us grow and expand. If you have a suggestion please post it in our SwiftKit Suggestions Thread
  24. Have you tried removing the jagex cache first before loading the game?
  25. Hi Zegsima, This is definitely something we are looking into, but there's a few things we need to take into account while doing so, so I'm not sure which version we'll (potentially) include this in, but rest assured we are doing our best to make SwiftKit the #1 tool no matter what info you need ;) Thanks for the report lilstuboi, we're looking into this as I write and will have a fix out at the earliest convenience.
