Featured Replies

id just like to know, whats the FASTEST way to train smithing on f2p when your mining ALL the ores yourself??? My mining is 81 and smithing is 55. I dont care about profit, but i dont want anyways that will cause me too lose money.

I would say just keep mining coal and iron and keep making them into steel bars and making steel plates. Making mith/addy bars into plates would be too much of a hassle I think.

iron bars to plates gives more xp overall in p2p. Steel would probably be the better option in f2p.

This is the way my freind is doing for his 99 smithing, and so far its been working out pretty good. Hes mining 1000 coal and 500 iron, then smelt them and then smith them into steel plates. I don't know where hes doing it so I can't give you the best location.

You need to move a long way up the mithril ranks to hit an item as good as steel plates, though doing a few mithril items to stores (like square shields that are often out of stock) can save on nats for alching.

Working the gold & silver mine in the crafting guild is another option.

Anyway, with 80 mining, you can use the mining guild, making coal often easier than iron (unless you like bullying lower levels off the iron).

Actually, even at 50% success for smelting, iron is slightly more XP per ore (smelted & smithed) than steel or anything higher. The drawback of iron is that smelting is very slow, so slow you can time out on a load, and it generates 50% more bars to smith for only a little more XP.

So if you mine coal not much slower than iron, you're actually better off doing steel, and the cash-out is better, since if you mine the ores yourself, you can high alch at a profit when buying the nats. If you can't high alch, then watch the stores and make the items they are short of, or do mixed items for general stores.

i got to 70 smithing in f2p

from my experience, iron bars is the fastest xp

steel will lose you less money, but its definitely slower

correct me if i'm mistaking, but isn't the mining guild for 60+ miners, or has jagex changed it?

60+20=80 Therefore, 80>60. Any further questions?

There's no such thing as regret. A regret means you are unhappy with the person you are now,

and if you're unhappy with the person you are, you change yourself. That

regret will no longer be a regret, because it will help to form the new,

better you. So really, a regret isn't a regret.

It's experience.

no, i now see what u mean

Mine coal and then buy 1 iron for every 2 coal you have, smelt into bars then make into pl8s, you can sell the pl8s around 1k ech or if you want really good magic exp you could alchemy.
