March 22, 200719 yr Rune defender is better than both: Less defence, but the extra +20 attack bonus, +5 strength bonus is totally worth it. Barrows drops: ahrims staff (2), karils coif, karils xbow, torags plate body, veracs helm.

March 22, 200719 yr obby sheilds way better, i personally use it mainly cause of the str bonus. rune sheilds are used by lower lvls, or f2p.
March 23, 200719 yr You seem worried about the price. I say, get a rune defender in the warriors guild, it's free. All you need is any set of armour, and depending on your level, a couple of hours. 2480+ total

March 23, 200719 yr Rune defender > obby or rune shield Depends on the situation. If you're fighting a monster that hits often, use the obby shield for the extra defence. If you're just wanting to hit hard and often, go with the defender. Rune kite has no real use.

March 23, 200719 yr I'm using rune kite and it's been pretty loyal to me. I'd personally use rune kite but if you have the money, go for the obsidian shield. Plus, range bonus isn't that useful against monsters rather than players. (could save your life rangers are annoying) Runescape player since 6th November, 2003
