April 19, 200719 yr I have seen a lot of Criss Angel and whatever and I was very intregued by how he does most of his tricks (walking on water, floating, etc.) If you know any form of magic or tricks please share here or post your opinion on this.

If you're thinking that this magic you see is in any way real, you're playing right into thier hands. That's what they want you to think. There's nothing special about these people. They can just revert your attention away from what thier trick is, be it through an object, mirrors or appealing to an act that generates all of your attention. No doubt that some are great at what they do.

Well obviously, but it looks so real and so cool (I know how he does the floating trick). It's not that I believe it, but they do a good job at making it seem real.

April 19, 200719 yr Criss Angel..."Real Magic"... This whole thread is oxymoronic. I have no problem when people say it's an illusion to entertain, but magic? No no. This is how much you all raised for charity. Thank you.

April 19, 200719 yr P&T do it in a way which makes it even more incredible that not knowing at all. Then they do the trick again and complete it a different way that they don't tell you about so you are totally gob smacked. Best magic act ive ever seen. April 19, 200719 yr Heres a nice but simple one items needed: Coffe Mug circular sponge(or just cut a square one, must fit into bottom of mug, inside) Basically what you do it glue the sponge to the bottom of the mug.. Then get a small ammount(not so big that the sponge won't absorb it) of scalding liquid(preferably coffe) and pour it in Then pretend to pour it on someone and, voila!, nothing comes out PRACTICE BEFORE ATTEMPTING!!! Listen to the mighty words of Bloodredsword. Tip it MGC Xbox live leader board!

You know some old day alchemists probably would have thought such a thing was magic. Now we can explain it all on a fundamental level and up.
April 20, 200719 yr I don't call that magic. I call it illusionism. Better word - Magic implies you're actually doing something that's, you know, really supernatural. Which I've never seen any stage performer do, and likely never will. Besides, I like the sound of illusionism. :P

April 21, 200719 yr I do magic! I got my first wand when I was seven. I still have it today, and even though I'm graduated and pursuing a career in Quidditch that doesn't mean I still don't love to do magic. Ah, I remember the good ol' days when I used to play pranks on my roommates. Don't get it? Look at my name. Me doing staff.
April 22, 200719 yr No, that's slight of hand. That's magic. "In so far as I am Man I am the chief of creatures. In so far as I am a man I am the chief of sinners." - G.K. Chesterton
