Just using MS Paint to create this, it started off just to create a face properly which in my opinion I've achieved pretty well, there's still alot of work to go into this, and knowing me it will either not get done or will take forever, so don't expect me to show you when it's next big step is done.

I'm still doing shading and making the clothing look abit more ragged especially on the left leg (Our right side) but yeah, got kinda bored with shading and working on the character, especially when he had no background, so just started with that. Ahh I'm talking heaps again... :wall:

Yeah here's the picture so far

what does that spell?

anatomy!!!!

practice it

change the head shape

At the moment i can't really see the full form of the muffin.

With the hair how it is, it looks like the head is round at the chin and pretty much flat on top. Fix that and it should look pretty good.

Thanks for the comments so far, I think even if the head shape is abit cartoony it still looks pretty good, but that's me and I am looking for criticism, so I'll probably muck around with the head shape later on.

Other the that, the other proportions look fine don't they? Legs and arms to body size or so meh, I'll see what others say, thanks again though.

liek said: learn anatomy.

a few points; (not much because there is almost nothing to comment on)

* Never make a street straight because they don't exist...

* U made the hills in the background to easy. Because they never have exact straight parts and then a part that is... bumpy or something... :?

* The sky has to go from dark in the front to light blue/greenish in the background. Most of the time There isn't that much green in it just a little.

That are some points i have noticed untill now. I hope this helps a bit

Cool, yeah didn't really start on the path yet, just indicated where it was. I'll look into the anatomy I guess alot more, because that seems to be the biggest problem atm...

The path he is walking on is a bit too straight and the arm looks circular, the shirt should rest on his arm/shoulder at some point even though it is baggy.

Does anyone else find it strange, how some people here bring up the A word, and ask for people to learn it, when they don't particularly succeed at it themselves?

Oh wells.

Firstly, get your anatomy correct. Regardless of how well you fulfill other parts of the artwork, incorrect anatomy can make it poor work.

From there, I suggest you actually learn to Anti-Alias. At the moment you're just banding.

When you shade, please get the colours and form correct before you try to dither. Please.

Also, contrast would be nice. @_@

Update:

* Just fixed the sky

* Started abit on the path so people wouldn't complain about it being straight and

* Didn't do much with the head even though it's the main problem, but I felt like doing other things atm, sorry everyone.

Struggling a little with the AA, but yeah I'll check out some guides I think for that. Hope you like the update and please, like I said before, don't complain a heap with the head, I know it's a big thing but I'm noob at it and everytime I try to fix it it turns out worse, but I'll look into the proper shape as well another time. Heading into town for a few days, Anzac day and all so yeah, looking forward to the comments.

To be honest, the head is the main thing that's still wrong. Since the character is wearing baggy clothes, the body anatomy isn't as important as it usually is. When people make critiques, especially when multiple people say the same thing, you'd better listen, or else you seem lazy.

One thing I might add is that the shirt could be a little less vibrant blue, maybe turn down the saturation a little bit. It's up to you, but I think that working with colors other than basic MS Paint colors looks better.

[EDIT] I like the sky. Good job.

some people (perfect example= me!) are better criticising other peoples work than their own... sounds weird but its true.

Proud to be Mexican, yay!

ok personaly i realy like t he sky now and the shading on the path on the edges But:

* The lines on the path are wrong positioned, they nood to be more horizontal , Make some grass on the edge of the path so it already gives a bit more grassy fealing.

* Plz let the next thing you chance, be the edges of the hills, they just looks so rare and square :?

* The guy his head is in a rare shape. Go look at deviantart for an anatomy guide so u maybe can chance the person a bit

Ok so thats what realy needs to be chanced ::'
