May 2, 200719 yr I dont think you can get any avarage amount because its purely about luck. It may take ten minutes or even one week. Retired from RuneScape for as long as possible.
May 2, 200719 yr Its like getting pouches from the monster in the abyss, the more you kill the higher the chances, but there is no definitive amount personally I used just over 1000 tokens in total, but other have done it with 400 and some with 10000. Its random. May 2, 200719 yr it is completely random like they said, but for me, the wealth ring helped a lot. i used around 200 tokens per defender up to black, then 1k from black to mith, then 200 from mith to addy, and then it took well over 2k tokens to rune. but i bought a wealth ring right around 2k tokens spent trying to get rune, and i got it in less than 50. \ The spelling and grammar of that email was that of an 11 year old palestinian goatboy who is speaking english for the first timeQuite simply, Facebook craps on Myspace. Then makes it eat the crap.

May 13, 200719 yr I got from nothing to rune defender by using 1k tickets. I was really, really, really lucky compared to some people.
May 13, 200719 yr i got amazingly lucky.. about 600 tokens to get addy, then about 400 to get rune. i went back there the other day to get a few more rune ones and got 4 within 500 tokens

May 14, 200719 yr umm i used about 2k tokkes to tryin and get a blk defender and gave up and went back like a month later with 1k tokkens amd got 18 rune deffenders best was 3 of them in a row :) fire cape owned at lvl 98 27/02/07 cape lost 27.5.07
May 14, 200719 yr Took me around 1k tokens, which seems to be the average but took my friend 3k tokens he wasn't to happy and me laughing at him didn't help to much :twisted:
