May 8, 200719 yr So one night, while I was taking a shower, I randomly had this idea that I wanted to get a 99 in a skill. I went through a mental checklist in my head, and they only one that I knew how to train in large chunks of xp without losing too much money (this idea started the day after I lost 8m at Dag Kings) was crafting. So I did a little experiment, and crafted about 500 green d'hide bodies to see if my ideas would work (more on my method later). They did, so here I am, mindless running back and forth between the tanner and Al Kharid Bank :XD:. I just got a new computer to replace my old chunky one, but now I'm playing more Counter Strike than I am RS =P. Oh well. (For anyone who wants it, my Xfire name is thexgreatxwhitexnarwhal. Heading over to Al Kharid, I tan each piece of leather for 20gp each (6k*20=120k for tanning). I then craft all the tanned leather into green d'hide bodies, bringing in 372k crafting xp and 2k green d'hide bodies. Heading over to the Barrows, I earn enough money to buy 2k nats with, because I hate crafting them. Bought 1.6k hide for 1.5k per, got some help tanning it. Crafted it all into 540 bodies, and then ran nats through the abyss to alc them all. Made all the nats, and I'm now finishing up alching them. Day 2 - 5/9/07 XP Gained: 186,000 Level(s) Gained: 66, 67, 68, 69 Bought 3k hides, tanned 3k hides, made 1k bodies. Buying took forever, had to settle for 1.55k per hide, more than I'd like to pay. Finished the hides too late to craft nats and alch, so I'll do that tomorrow. Day 3 - 5/10/07 XP Gained: 0 Level(s) Gained: -- See Page 2, 11th post to see what I did today. Day 4 - 5/11/07 XP Gained: 0 Level(s) Gained: -- Wow, I'm slipping and I'm only on the fourth day . Played some poker today, won some money. RL $ > RS $. Tennis FINALS tomorrow, be thinking good thoughts. Too bad the last time we played the team we're playing now we lost 7-0. Day 5 - 5/12/07 XP Gained: 186,000 Level(s) Gained: 70, 71 Crafted final 500 nats, traded 1k bodies and 1k nats for 4.68m, went to W2, bought 3k more hides and 1k more ess, tanned the hide, crafted the hides, and finished the day by crafting 1k nats so I can start all over again. Day 6 - 5/13/07 XP Gained: 0 Level(s) Gained: - Went to New York for Mother's Day, didn't get anything done. . Day 7 - 5/14/07 XP Gained: 186,000 Level(s) Gained: 72, 73 Bought 3k hides, tanned them all by myself (glares angrily at slave list), and then crafted them. Wee. Day 8 - 5/28/07 XP Gained: 0 Level(s) Gained: - Came back after a long vacation, sold some junk in the bank, found 1.8m in there I didn't know I had. Didn't feel like crafting anything, so I bought the nats and traded the bodies + nats for 4.68m, like usual. Tomorrow I plan to buy more hides and tan them. Day 9 - 6/7/07 XP Gained: 0 Level(s) Gained: - After finally getting back onto the internet today for a bit, I finished up crafting the rest of my hides with Beerrobber's help (thanks <3). Whenever I'm able to get on next I'll craft them. Day 10 - 6/8/07 XP Gained: ~100,000 Level(s) Gained: 74 Finished tanning and starting crafting. 1.1k hides through the set, gotten level 74 so far. Day 10 - 6/9/07 XP Gained: ~86,000 Level(s) Gained: 75 Finished up crafting my hides, gained 75 crafting. Day 11 - 6/17/07 XP Gained: 0 Level(s) Gained: - After 20 dry Barrows runs, I decided to stick with 3k hides at a time, so I bought them and went to Al Kharid =(. Day 12 - 6/18/07 XP Gained: 182,000 Level(s) Gained: 76 Finished up my hides w/ the help of Beerrobber (<3), and then crafted them all, gaining 76 crafting along the way. CRAFTING SURPASSES FLETCHING FOR MOST XP IN A NON-COMBAT SKILL. Day 13 - 6/20/07 XP Gained: 0 Level(s) Gained: - Went Metal Dragon hunting for the first time, got a Drag Skirt on my second dragon \. Day 14 - 6/22/07 XP Gained: ~93,000 Level(s) Gained: 77 Finished up tanning my hides after a very bad clue, and then crafted about half of them for 77 crafting. CRAFTING SURPASSES FLETCHING AS HIGHEST NON-COMBAT SKILL. CURRENTLY 6TH HIGHEST OVERALL, AFTER ATTACK, STRENGTH, DEFENCE, HP, AND MAGIC. Day 15 - 6/23/07 XP Gained: ~50,000 Level(s) Gained: - Didn't craft much, played some poker and lost me monies =(. I'll finish crafting tomorrow, hopefully. Day 16 - 6/24/07 XP Gained: 0 Level(s) Gained: - SAW BOB DYLAN IN CONCERT FOR MY BDAY, WOOOOOOOOOOOOO. But yeah, it was pretty awesome. In RS news, I crafted about 500 hides and then we left for the concert, so I didn't really get anything done. Day 17 - 6/25/07 XP Gained: 0 Level(s) Gained: - MY B-DAY!! YAY!! I'M 15 NOW! Tanned 2.5k hides, played some CS, got owned, it was a good day. Day 18 - 6/29/07 XP Gained: 190,000 Level(s) Gained: 78,79 Crafted my already tanned hides and gained 78 and 79 crafting. At 79 I could craft my first black hide (vambs) so Brainymidget dug 50-so black dhides out of his bank and let me craft them. Thanks =D. Day 19 - 7/4/07 XP Gained: 160,000 Level(s) Gained: 80 Tanned 2.4k hides, crafted them all, and wound up 5k xp short of 80 #-o . After some intense haggling with a merchent, I got doublecharged for 100 gold bars, but it was worth it to get 80 crafting. Made my first glory out of a spare dstone I had, and all is good. Crafting is new to me, but I think I found a way to level it without wasting too much money. It just involves a lot of work on my part : . I need something to do anyways.

May 9, 200719 yr Author come full circle today. Started with 4m cash, bought 1.6k hides, tanned 1.6k hides, crafted 1.6k hides, made 540 nats, alched 540 bodies (well, azure is alching them for me ), ending up with 4m cash. Not bad for my first day.
