Anyone else experienced this?

 

I think it's happened to me twice, but only got evidence of it the second time round.

Ok. Nice find, I saw this once on vid, if you take it, the clue scroll switches..

 

 

 

EDIT : Why block out your RS name? Everyone can see it under your avatar or space where avatar fits. Unless you're on your other account.

Quality find mate... I've never seen this particular bug before. Shame you can't pick both of them up.

This is not really a bug, why does Jagex put "you already have a clue "in the chat box if this is a bug. Anyway, I got this once from goblin before. it is because you killed the monster too fast and they dropped the clue about the same time.

I noticed that, and included it in a fault report.

 

Otherwise they wouldn't have made the message- would be easier to remove the occurance from the game completely, surely- and less frustrating :P

Ahh nice one. Mine was two separate drops though, rather than two from the same monster. Well, that's what that one looked like atleast =\

You could, in theory get 30 clue scrolls on the ground if you use a cannon. You will keep getting clue sroll drops even if you have one, but you can only have 1 in the bank or your inventory at a time.

Interesting, surely if you cannot get two clue then Jagex wouldn't make a message saying you have another one?

If not, it's just the way the game is, you cannot have multiple clues, it will not let you pick up another if you have one. But, you can get multiples using MTK.

I'm not P2P anymore so bear with me. If you already have a Clue Scroll in your bank or in your inventory, you can't get another one. Right?

I can see that it is possible, just very unlikely. You killed one monster, didn't notice the clue drop, killed another, and by a stroke of luck, you got another clue drop. You picked one up, noticed the other, and tried to pick it up repeatedly, accidentally examining it before resuming trying to pick it up. Then, you proceeded to screenshot it, uploaded it, and stuck it up here, awaiting responses from fellow tip.iters. You succeeded, and managed to catch my attention. I read your thoughts and past actions, and proceeded to write this post.

In a nutshell Will, yeah, that's what happened.

 

Although the examine wasn't accidental, just further proof of the occurence.

 

And to anyone who asked, it was a separate drop, not 2 from the same monster. :-k

I would have tried to bear with the anoyingness and answer both by picks up and dropping over and over.
