June 7, 200719 yr Author Ok I think I get you: new part tot he quest: Flamush will refuse to let you into his house because he is angry. Asking him why will make him tell you that this is because King Roald stole his 'Olde Hammer' which was given to him by the 2nd great dwarven king. He tells you to leave. Upomn hearing this you deduce that he will let you in if you get it back for him. To get it back you must infiltrate the Varrock palace by joining the palace guard and becoming close to Roald until you have the opportunity to steal it back (this requires a thieving of 35). There are 5 parts to this section. You need a guard look (like in black knights fortress) and lvl 30 attack, strangth and defence. 1. Proving yourself to the head guard, where you must slay a particulary nasty dragon that has been causing them some trouble. 2. You must then do your first night watch, in hich you foil some disputes and even a robbery by the black arms gang!(of the museum) 3. You must help the king out and find him some special roses that grow only on white wolf mountain for the queens birthday, this gets you in his good books. 4. The king will then ask you to to transport a 'mysterious rune' to a place just east of Canifis, this will require a normal journey, but there will be a lot of 'thugs lvl60' encounters for you, including an ambush and a road block at the gate east of the sawmill. 5. You will then be asked to stand guard at the kings chambers, where you will have to steal the hammer while the other guards are distracted (either you have to find ways of distarcting them or random stuff happens that distarcts them, bot sure which). Get it, then give it to Flamush, quest carries on as normal. What do you all think? Before you read this interview, think about how cool it is to have people like Oscar on the site? What I mean, take a read =P

June 8, 200719 yr nice ideas but how about an obasian/barrows pickaxe? Obby could make take the impurity put of iron and barrows could hit faster than the rune pick so you can 1 hit granite but not coal or iron(iron so that than the economy woyuldn't be ruined...). By the way i'm thinking of making a suggestion about these new pickaxes so... don't try and take the credit if i do, thx............. :notalk: (or give me credit for them, not trying to be fussy but i don't want to be flammed with the idea that i copied you with the picks...) You easily 1 hit iron at level 50+ mining, and if what you say is true, :ohnoes: What you should say is 1 hitting coal would ruin the economy. Now, for my second post on this: I love the quest, especially the furnaces and this "Mysterious Rune", leaving ALOT of room open for sequels, one for the mysterious rune, the other for each or both of the furnaces (Gaurding them maybe?). I do still think you should stick with a gem higher than diamond. You can buy those for about 1k from the gems trader in Al K.. I like the low requirements on the pickaxes, however they should be untradable for balance. These pickaxes would provide too much profit and xp to be simply bought. The quest requirements should definitly be higher, seeing as how good the pyro axe is. For the Pyro axe, there shouldn't be any requirements at all, just that you need the appropriate smithing and mining levels for the ore you are mining/smelting. You've covered alot of what I've thought of saying, from the low success rate of mining with the pyro to the low mining requirements. To finish this off with an Off-Topic question: Who is n_odie :? There's no such thing as regret. A regret means you are unhappy with the person you are now,and if you're unhappy with the person you are, you change yourself. Thatregret will no longer be a regret, because it will help to form the new, better you. So really, a regret isn't a regret. It's experience.
June 8, 200719 yr Author Supporter here good idea. Love the aqua pic. Very outside the box yet make sence. :P ^^This my friend is n_odie^^ Anyways I've already said that they're untradeable, in the minigame section. I deliberately left room for sequals in there, which you noticed... 1 point to you :D But you need a mining lvl to use every other pickaxe... if you mean both mining and smelting, then that's a good idea, eg you'd need 40 mining and 40 smithing to mine gold bars. How about these for quest requirements: 40 thieving 35 attack 35 strength 35 defence 45 smithing 45 mining Before you read this interview, think about how cool it is to have people like Oscar on the site? What I mean, take a read =P

To finish this off with an Off-Topic question: Who is n_odie :? no you can't...actauly you can't even get a saph there 95% of the time because the shop does not "recreate" the gems only if gems are sold the store has them unlike most general stores in which for example if you buy pot a few seconds later the shop will have another 1 and the only shop that sells onyx is in tzy but only for tokkul...if you want tokkul you will either have to earn them (takes LOOOOOOONG TIME) or buy/make 17k deaths/33k chaos and sell all to the magic shop there for tokkul and then buy with it the onyx which will take around 7-8 hours of playing if you already have the runes :XD: so diamond unless the quest offers an alternative way to get dragonstone/onyx which will be stupid coz glories, furies, stone rings, and that new bracelet and anything else which requires onyx/dragonstone will drop its price by A LOT even if you can only get 1 in the quest and if you lose it you have to get yourself another 1 so in other words diamond is the best gem requirement a quest can have Thanks a lot flava! June 8, 200719 yr Nice rewards and Quest The smithing/mining Skills havnt been changed for years it's time for a new pickaxe for us lvl 70+ people i'm sure we all want it. Those skill are the hardest to level and gain money. Good suggestion but you need to add in a lvl 71 pickaxe There is room for a lvl 71 (or probably 61) pickaxe: the dragon pickaxe. I'm not sure what Jagex's view is on this but what I do know is that dragon item discussion isn't allowed on the suggestion topics. My idea behind the ancient picks is that they're mining with a difference, and possibly heppful, making money making and etc. faster. June 8, 200719 yr I thought of altered mining requirements: For the pick molten, the requirements should definitly be mining and smithing. However, instead of just using the minimum mining level for each ore, it should something like 1.5-2 times the mining level. At first this seems as if the level will go above 100, but it won't with gold being the highest single-ore bar at 40. I've also thought of a new variation fo smelting the ores. If you have the required amount fo coal in your inventory for a bar which you are mining the ore, there is a 25-50% of smelting the ores into the bar. This means that if you have 2+ coal in your inventory, while mining iron, you will make a steel bar 25% of the time, 25% of the time getting your iron back and 50% of the time losing your ores. This effect would require nature runes (1-2, most likely 1 to fit with superheat). The single-ore to bar effect would not require any runes and would be passive (Meaning you can turn it off). With the requiremennt of nature runes to mine&smelt multi-ore bars, there is a possibilty to introduce the pick molten giving unlimited fire runes - very good for mining in the wilderness or on Crandor. You just mine coal, mine & smelt addy or mithril, then high alch. For mithril, that would lose you quite a lot of money, however for addy, theres a possibility. For rune it would be too much of a hassle, only being able to mine&smelt 3 rune ores before getting more coal. Then the unlimited fire runes could provide protection when mining in the wilderness. Just bring some air runes and chaos/death/blood runes to cast the fire attacks. The axe aqueious would of course provide unlimited water runes. The unlimited runes and mine/smelting multi-ore bars are fairly weak ideas. The requirements however, are good IMO. Another opening that the pick molten opens up is power training smithing and mining at the same time. Just powermine iron with the pick, training both whenever you successfully get the ore. Another thing I was wondering: Would you get mining, but not smithing experience, every time you successfully got the ore, but unsuccessfully smelted the bar? There's no such thing as regret. A regret means you are unhappy with the person you are now,and if you're unhappy with the person you are, you change yourself. Thatregret will no longer be a regret, because it will help to form the new, better you. So really, a regret isn't a regret. It's experience.

June 9, 200719 yr Author I probably didn't specify this idea, but if you unsuccesfully smelt the ore you get nothing back. You 'overheat' it or something, maybe it melts. Before you read this interview, think about how cool it is to have people like Oscar on the site? What I mean, take a read =P
