June 7, 200719 yr Part 3!!!! DUH, DUUH , DUUUUUUUGHGGYGUH!!!!! Ok this ones not spam; just to get that out of the way. The upcoming dark bow and dark beast update is highly anticipated by all, BUT this update might very well be connected to the third Mourners End. Jagex has done suprise updates like this before: Promises chairs one week and BAM con skill is the next update SO maby dark beast and bow BAM required to do MEP3 Think about it, it could happen. And so; once again; the plot thickens...... This just might melt your face off come monday..... Everytime I try to get a 99 skill, I get bored and go play Transformers on my 360...Dragon Drops-1 Barrows drops- 0 :(
June 7, 200719 yr Though I highly doubt it, I would love to see MEP3. "We will certainly not be gaining money or members with this update. Instead, we are doing this for the good of the game, which is as dear to our hearts as it is to you."- JAGEX, December 13, 2007
June 7, 200719 yr Wait what has dark bow got to do with mourning's end? Jagex has done many updates to areas which are previously involved in quests but has the next quest that continue the storyline came out soon yet? I doubt so. From development diaries, the high lvl bow Jagex was intending to put in the game was decided to be a dark beast drop due to the fact of it lacking a good drop compared to the lv 85 slayer monster abyssal demons which dropped whips. Strangely with WotLK so near, I wished I could delay it a bit to push through that last TBC content in MH/BT :'(.

June 7, 200719 yr Ok this ones not spam; just to get that out of the way. Just because you says its not spam, doesnt make it not. IRL you could call it a t-bone steak, it's still processed meat in a tin. Theres been so much crazy baseless speculation recently, everyone's so eager to make something out of nothing.
June 7, 200719 yr About two or three months ago a JageX mod said that we will get another quest continuing the elf story line. HOWEVER, "quote: Don't hold your breath". I assume the quest was in the starting phase, as the mod [garden tool] has leading the past work in the elf storyline was already involved in some other projects. So, a few weeks in development time, and then the classic 30 week wait after the quest is actually finished. I say we might get it by Christmas. 21 lag piles, 4 Pjs, 2 Party hat kills, 67 newbs teached.
June 7, 200719 yr I very much doubt it, I bleive from various quotes from the offical forums they have not even started MEP3 yet :( the drops for dark beasts are more of by public demand type thingy.
June 7, 200719 yr If you go to the Development Diaries thread, you see that it takes the Jagex team a little over 5 months to add a new weapon and mini-game into RuneScape. Now, I'm not saying this reflects a typical development cycle for them, but it can be used to give us a rough idea as to how long it would take to add a new quest. The Mourner's storyline is long and complex. Adding another installment to the story will require lots of writing and to make sure the story doesn't write them into a dead-end nor contradict another storyline. My guess is the story writing and edit process would take at least a month to make sure it doesn't break anything that came before. So, a new quest that introduces a new storyline may take six months, meanwhile a new quest that builds on an existing storyline may take seven months to make sure the story fits in the RuneScape world.
