June 18, 200719 yr erkid"]It's pathetic for those who sell the gold. Get a real job and earn your cash instead of setting up hundreds of bots to work for you. They you have the depressed people who spend there money supporting these kind of lazy people who don't work for a living. I hope they all the buyers get banned so the sellers/ autoers will move to a different game. Hopefully WoW :pray:actualy its more pathetic to buy the gold and selling it is not pathetic...i know i would if i didnt like playing the game :-$. there is nothing to be ashamed of and its great money....besides what do you think rich people do in real life? mostly nothing/enjoying themselves so even though i would like the black market to stop because its ruining the game i wouldnt be ashamed of it if i did it. June 19, 200719 yr Author thanks, for posting, haven't had posts in awhile but this good discussion is turning up and yes I think buying names is stupid to.
June 19, 200719 yr I keep seeing people posting 'Who would spent their money on rs gold?', 'Why would you buy rs gold?'. There is a rather large group of rich people that don't mind spending some 'change' on a few millions of rs gp. Imagine having 2 million dollars. What does a few thousand dollars for a game matter then? Blame our capitalistic society: the rich get richer, the poor get more poor. - Back to casual f2p scaping due to limited time (university and girlfriend ) -

June 21, 200719 yr I know of a website where someone sold an account named B for 35m. Also, I saw a level 3 going for 600m. The reason, it was Runescape Classic. Always remember you're unique, just like everyone else.

June 21, 200719 yr Seriously, how lifeless are these nerds?! Buying RS gold is one thing, but names?!!!! Some people earn enough cash in real life to waste it on characters "with cool names" or so, even tho I am quite sure some numbers in this thread are either fake bids or just random false rumours. For higher lvl chars, I understand (note: understand and accept are 2 different things) it why some people pay hundreds of euros/dollars for "pixels". They want to have fun in this game and in the time they'd use to build a character with 2k total, they'd earn tens of thousands of euros/dollars/squirrel furs in real life. Personally if I worked with 1e/h salary (which is A LOT down the minimum) for as long as I've worked with my RS character, I'd be a rich peep. Yea probably some of these rl gp buyers are 13-year-old fat kids, but some (surprisingly big amount) are adults who can afford easily buying few mils every now and then to save tens of hours. Like I said, I understand it why some people buy their items/characters with real life money, but I don't accept it. I'd rather die for what I believe in than live for anything else.Name Removed by Administrator ~Turtlefemm
June 21, 200719 yr I sometimes take the time to find and report these sites to Jagex when I'm bored. In about 15 minutes by using really obvious Google searches, I find easily 20 sites. It's just plain absurd. Seriously, these things should be dealt with. I once shot a man in Reno, just to watch him die.Pics or it didn't happen. I hate my generation.

June 22, 200719 yr What would be the point of playing if you didn't have the sense of accomplishment from earning something, not having it handed to you on a silver platter?
June 22, 200719 yr Seems that the best method is to setup lots of fake (perferably more than 500) gp sellers. When someone tries to take part in a shameful trade, a banning will occur. They may even delay the bannings (for example, after a couple of days after the transaction) to make the banning looks more reasonable, and buyers won't be able to figure out the camouflaged trapping sites easily. :D The major problem is that cheaters cannot distinguish the 'validity' of the selling sites, as there is no 'trusted' middleman or brokers. What we can do is to fully exploit their weakness. If Jagex suceed, chaos (of uncertainity) will be wide spread between those who buy golds, and sure, the quantity demands falls and the RWT problem vanishes in months, or even weeks! People dare not try RWT again, for the fear of bannings. What the cost burden beared by Jagex is the 'maintance' cost of these websites, which is relatively low - I can guarantee the cost is below $15000 for all of them (take 500 as an example) once a mature system is established. Some may try to circumvent the system by employing multiple 'disposable' accounts and use many drop trades. But our drop trade system is mature, and sure, Jagex have ways to check that out (for example: do dropping and picking up accounts have same/close ip? or a proxy is used? or they occur at close times at same position with similiar amount of golds transferred?, etc.) We ban many drop traders daily, and thus the system is reliable and well developed Being in the dark and hunting bad guys down is the major role of sniper. Not only casuality is inflicted but the fear is also spread wide and deep. If Jagex is willing to be a sniper, tracing down dishonest players by his telescropic sight, and the problem is solved. Currently taking a break from Runescape

At some point people will realise that or there will be rumors and people will know what sites to go to OR maybe they will buy it on a level 3 account they just made and then give it to a friend or a main so the level 3 got banned and they got what they wanted... support new ghostly stuff here.I see RuneScape slowly turning into a sadistic version of WoW..signature your as this use backwards this read to enough smart were you If
June 22, 200719 yr You may be true, but Jagex can change the site name / interfaces and urls regularly to deter such ways to unveal their traps Rumors won't do lots of goods because as everyone knows, RWT is unreliable. Even you buy from those 'genuine' suppliers, you may still get banned! There are also other posts in the forum concerning someone bought RS gold and get banned, yet the gold farmer website says that its 100% safe! Remember, rumors are unreliable in nature, so others will not be very serious when talking about these stuffs. Without evidence, they cannot prove anything, except making a wild guess! I've already added the countermeasures for drop trading (as that's NOT the purpose of this post, I won't venture too deep in that particular part) Currently taking a break from Runescape

You know, guys at JaGeX towers are not god's... // And, the site what you are talking about ( i have visited it once or twice ) is not of full " asian gold farmers " , most of them are americans and europeans...
June 22, 200719 yr Nice report well,Most active black market is for pures i guess because now everyone loves pking/staking,don't forget that those people scam they would sell you the account then take it back and still have your money and also there are many ways not to get banned by doing real life trading which i figured out for example:if you where the gold buyer, the seller puts on the trade the money, you give him some junk like cabbage, iron arrow etc,and you do the trade, jagex can't detect that or if you both were members, you can stake him,you both stake, the seller makes you win,you take the money by the 'fair' way or if you were buying lots of gold, you trade a santa hat for 40Mil(in that case the seller gave you 20Mil gold) I guess my lvl 123 account will go up to 80Mil from the prices you named up there PS:The reason why Duke freedom got banned is that he caught buying 200Mil for real life money from R2pleasent,believe it or not
