Respect, what is it?

Questions:

1. What is respect to you?

2. How can you earn respect?

3. Because you̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢re ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâ¹Ãâhigh ranked̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢ should you automatically be respected?

1. Well, it means for me that someone has worked (or "worked", unfortunately it's impossible to tell unless they admit it) a lot for whatever riches/fame/success he has. Unlike some people think, a blue-pee-hat isn't all, if I'd be completely broke but I knew I'd never die in the wildy and would PK a lot of good stuff I'd still be successful and could be respected.

2. Well, by working a lot, and hard, or thinking up some way of getting your goals quickly. (Serious goals, not level 4 fletching.)

3. No, not necessarily, but most often yes. However, the opposite is true too, just because you are low ranked that doesn't mean you cannot be respected, although most often that's true.

Also, if someone calls other players (scammers/macroers/etc. don't count as true players; pures do!) noobs/idiots and stuff for no reason, no respect for them, even if that was any of the *cough* all 99 skill players.

1. What is respect to you?

I will try to make the other two questions redundant with my answer to the first.

Respect comes to a person when what they do is considered by general peer consensus as good or right towards a common goal or code. If someone has agreeable principles that are consistently reflected in their actions, and they can be relied upon to keep to those principles, they will 'earn' respect. It can also come as a result of a person making an error in their behaviour and taking responsibility for it.

This can happen between people who trade together, skill together, and even between enemies sharing mutual conflict, hence respect for one's enemy.

Heirarchical respect, within a clan for example, happens when the relationships between superior and subordinate is consistent and unabusive, and each party plays their role according to their rank. In this case, rank does not mean any particular numerical level i.e. combat level, skill level etc., but where they stand in the clan heirarchy.

well I just respect people that have very good skills, or are very high ranked with a skill. These people should earn respect because mostly their friendly etc.

not always..some people believe they DESERVE the respect for having a 99 stat and talk down to people.

i give respect to those who can respect others along with themselves =D>

1. What is respect to you? Respect is something you give to some who is higher/better or you like.

2. How can you earn respect? You earn respect by being a nice person, a well achieved person, doing something out of the ordinary which loads of people like or being a powerful person.

3. Because you̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢re ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâ¹Ãâhigh ranked̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢ should you automatically be respected? Depends if you trained your stats yourself, i;ve trained mine myself and my friend bought a level 102 with two 99 stats (he doesn't disserve respect.

1. What is respect to you?

No point in explaining. It's a feeling, not a logical thought, there's no point in trying to put into words things that are not ment to be put into words.

2. How can you earn respect?

Display strength and benevolence in leadership.

3. Because you̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢re ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâ¹Ãâhigh ranked̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢ should you automatically be respected?

No, lots of high ranked jerks and idiots in Rs. Besides, levels show nothing more than the amount of time one wasted on Rs.
