Changing the color of yew trees

Featured Replies

Jagex should change the color of the yew trees, willows, etc, every few weeks or so (the leaves, the bark, the whole thing), so that everytime Jagex changes the color, the macroers have to reprogram. Of course, this can be costly, so maybe jagex can have 10 programmed colors to the yews, and the changing of colors can be random, or the shade of the one of the 10 programmed colors can change. Ex: dark brown bark to light brown bark. Hopefully I'm not asking for too much, but I think this could help the problem with macroers.

This would help LOADS with macroers. Might not be the easiest to program, but it is leagues better than the idea by lordkafei! =D> =D> We should have this already #-o

I don't think it'll affect bots at all! Knowing a bit about programming myself, I know all the person controlling the bots have to do is to get a sample of the new tree colour and paste it on the colour locater or the script. They can change this every week, no bother at all!

I've done some research into how some autoing programs work, and some of them actually use the "Chop-down X Tree" that appears in the upper left corner as a reference, so that wouldn't really help for that variety.

Also, the autoing program could be programmed to check for one color, and if it's not that color, check for another one. And if it gets through all of its colors, then it must not be that certain type of tree!

So I don't think this would really help. It might also serve to confuse players. Each tree has its own specific color that is easily recognized by anyone who chops them even occasionally. So... I think it should stay the same.

Well even if some could get past the change of color, the players that are "New" to autoing may only have a macro that finds colors. It wouldnt even have to be much from what i researched they input the main color of the tree and then the macro looks for that to click on. So other than the good macroes that dont search for colors this would be a great addition to the game to help get rid of macroers!

not if they change the colors randomly. ( every 30 minutes or so, to extremely dark or extremely light shades of green and/or brown. )

done with runescape

And you get a tree growing where you are standing?

i know the programming posibility of good bots and those are they dont check for names or colours ( bad autoers do i have infiltrated in a site for bots and looked how they did it ) andi came to a conclusion they use the codes they ( the good programs ) know the code of the yew and search up that code on the screen and then click it but it will prevent 30% of autoers so good idea i support

How does 20 minutes turn into 2.5 hours? Was your math perhaps magical math?

This could work pretty well if it was tweaked a little. For instance, have the ground in the surrounding area change colors as well. When the trees change colors change the color of the ground to the color of the old tree before. This will leave the autors clicking around on the ground.

Also maybe change runescape so it has day and night so the yews slowly change colors and the ground around them slowly changes colors as it gets darker or lighter. When it was dark maybe the ground could be the same color as the tree in the day. When it gets light maybe the ground could be the same color as the tree during the night. The autorer would have problems as the colors would always be changing and what was tree is now ground.
