Joes_So_Cool
I just bought a new Belkin Wireless router. I installed it/ran the CD first that came with the router, then everything was working fine for about 20 minutes tops and it crashed. I kept trying it and the same thing would happen, work for 20 minutes or so, CRASH. Does anyone know a solution? Always remember you're unique, just like everyone else. Lonk41
Phone up the company and ask maybe, that what I did with my wireless. Or maybe unplub all the wires.. wait for 10 mins, plug them back in, start your pc/ laptop up again. works for me anyway =] Remember ~ Nothing Is Impossible - Lonk41 My Blog :)

I called the Belkin hot line and they said try calling your ISP. I called Comcast and they told me to call the maker of the router, basically meaning they don't know anything. I have been unplugging them and such and restarting it for 2 days now and have come to all of you in tif for advice! ~Joe Always remember you're unique, just like everyone else. ooberman
When you say crash do you mean the router crashes or you just lose your internet connection?
Earpy
I also have a Belkin and your problem is strange. I have never experianced this before but one thing I will suggest is resetting your router. To do this, on the back will be a small button which you press (it's really small, so you may need a pin or like) and that will 'format' the router to factory settings. Be warned, you will have to encrypt your network again and any ports that have been forwarded will need to be opened again. If you need any more help drop me a quick PM and i'll do my best to help 8-)
blade995
Have you tried updating the firmware?
Faelenof
You're not alone here, I've also got a Belkin wireless router (but a different ISP, Telecom) and the same thing happens to me from time to time, but not as frequently anymore. I've found that whenever our microwave is running the connection loses signal (interference, I'll warrant). Fortunately that doesn't happen anymore as I've shifted my computer to another side of my room where the microwave doesn't interfere. But yes, any answers would be appreciated here as well. It seems that whenever I'm reading some sort of long post or whatnot and I don't open any new pages for a while, the next time I try to go to another webpage the connection cuts off and I have to wait a minute or so for it to reconnect again. It's a major hassle, but I've learnt to live with it - any tips to fix it would be brilliant though. :P Pixel Artist - Former Player Mod - Former Tip.It ModNot taking sig requests - sorry! JoeDaStudd
Have you tried updating the firmware? I was thinking the same thing. Info for Joes_So_Cool, most router manufacturers will release new firmware every month or so. Each of these updates will fix bugs with the router. When you buy a router the firmware they run on will normally be a few months old so its always advised that you update it as soon as you get it running. Joes_So_Cool, can you give us a little more info about your situation. *What router is it? (Model number) *DSL or Cable connection? *How is your pc connected to the router?
