They introduced the upgradeable wands, and okay, thsoe were decent. But how many people use those? not many. If jagex had made the dragon squares upgradeable it would have not only increased the price of left half drops (which at its current price of like 250k, isnt that much for a dragon drop) it would have opened a window of opertunity to introduce upgradeable weapons and armor. currently we have wands, daggers, and spears (which can be poisoned). currently, not many people use spears, except for dragon durring castle wars. so with 2 decent upgradeable items, and only one of them that is being used to a higher potential, i think jagex messed up. They could have done something along the lines of, once you get the dragonfire stuffs inside the shield you have to use a tinder box before you use the shield special, with a firemaking requirement 70+. truffoo Posted June 18, 2007 Share Posted June 18, 2007 While I agree that something could have been done to the Dragon Sq (and who says that something isn't going to be done), it would be illogical to use it as a base for dragonfire sheild. Only the antidragon sheild has the protection properties and the visage only allows for the storage of the firebreath. If the Dragon Sq was used as the base sheild, then you'd need 2 rare drops (or 1 semi-rare and 1 very-rare) in order to create the sheild. Also someone mentioned on page 1 that the recharging is free. I'm not really sure if fighting dragons counts as free . Will be interesting to see how rare the visage is ... rareghoul1 Posted June 18, 2007 Share Posted June 18, 2007 I have no idea whats wrong with some people...dq square? glory? dq square is useless since the release of the obby shield, then again after the defenders, and now yet again...rs evolves, learn to live with it. I wonder when we will see a similar post asking to restore glory to the oh mighty legends cape...pffft doesn't obby shield have worse stats than d sq, but has str bonus and you don't need to do legend's? d sq isn't wrothless, and i don't like defenders, they don't have decent defense bonuses. next you're gonna say those satchels from tower of life are useful :roll: Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
