I realy love this update,gr8 stats, nice new unleash option,rechargeable at no cost, cant w8 to put my hands on those. But didn't Jagex missed a big opportunity here? An opportunity to restore the glory of the Dragon sq shield???!!!!. sykoknight Posted June 18, 2007 Share Posted June 18, 2007 I have no clue how difficult it is to get the draconic visage from a dragon, but unless it is extremely rare, this shield seems too powerful. Once it is fully charged, it is the strongest shield in game (I don't know the crystal shield stats, but it is stronger then the dragon sq and third age by a decent amount, so I would imagine it is stronger then crystal as well). It doesn't degrade and it has what could potentially be a great special. Using the special barely lowers the shields stats. Don't get me wrong, I have no problem with it being the strongest shield...if thats what Jagex wants to release, fine with me....BUT if draconic visage isn't an extremely rare drop, then we have a great shield that anyone and everyone can and will have. If it was made using the dragon Sq shield as suggested, at the very least, it would be valued around 1 mill or so (no clue what they are worth anymore) so that it is at least somewhat of a valuable item to train or PK with. Seriously, every time there's an update no matter how major or minor, there's always a somebody who'll sling mud at it before trying it. If Jagex decides to make a Dragon Kiteshield update, it'll probably be split into halves like the Dragon Square Shield, or maybe even quarters. I think it's good that there's an update for people who are serious Metal Dragon slayers. Maybe we'll see an increase in availability of Dragon equipment. You could simply have the visage added to the square shield, which would give it the ability to charge from dragonfire, or you might have to smith the square shield, antidragon shield, and visage all together. They could've incorporated the dragon square shield into this, yes, but there's probably some reason they chose not to. I don't think anyone is really "complaining" about the update in this thread. It is simply saying that Jagex could have used the Dragon Square shield to make this new shield rather then the anti dragon breath shield. Apparently though, the draconic visage is an extremely rare drop, which will in fact make this shield very pricey, so it doesn't need to made from a Drag sq to give the shield a higher price tag. krisc6 Posted June 18, 2007 Share Posted June 18, 2007 they could have given some explanation if they did use the use the dragon square shield that it requires the dragon fire shield to be melted and smelted on the top of the dragon shield to give it the strength of a dragon square shield yet.... the evasive dragon breath properties of the antifire breath shield(yeah i know lame :notalk:) I do agree with sykoknight that no-one is complaning but just giving suggestions on how they could incorporate a dragon sqaure into the process.
