[Wallpaper] Falling Memories of Tomorrow

Featured Replies

When I look outside, sometimes I see the clouds and how nice they look. What I like the most is when the sun beams through the edges to give that golden outline on them. That scene in my head and a song I was listening to gave me the inspiration to make this piece.

The piece is named after a song I was listening to, and basically what it's suppose to be of are angels coming out of some utopia symbolized by the bright area in the bottom left. Anyways, this was all done on ps7. Perhaps my best piece yet.

Edit: Took out the lensflares after a while, was annoying cause the lighting gets messed up when I erase the lensflares, but I eventually got through with it :).

i love the way that youve made it a kind of out of this world picture simply by placing the second moon, above the larger moon

black flat

edit: just realised that you said u used ps7

Amazingly realistic. Only question I have is why are there two moons?

I'm loving this peice.

The clouds you brushed look very nice, and the starfeild is very smooth.

However, one thing this irks me are the planets, they seem to be a bit "flat". maybe try and show a bit more of them, take away some of the shadow, because they are flat now.

other than that, truly awsome :)

I don't know why, but for some reason the smaller moon/planet bugs me....Besides that though, the aura clouds on the rigth and left are great. the brushing is beautiful, and the constrast just the right amount on the subtle star field. great job, i tink you portrayed exactly what you wanted to in this piece.

This looks pretty nice, though I'm not a fan of texture/custom brushed thingys. One thing though, there are faint stars on the bigger planet/moon.

Thanks for the comments everyone :). My monitor must be too dark, cause I couldn't see the stars on the planet's shadow (I actually was thinking about that and tried to take out what i could). I fixed that up though, thanks for telling me.

For the planet, I think i might have screwed it up :oops:l. When I tried removing the shadow, it still looked flat, so I am not gonna bother and am going to just leave it how it is.

The brushes look reall.... predictable? I guess is the word... Seems you used the same brush and I see it repeating alot...

This is one of those things that "looks cool" but it also seems it might not have taken much time, given the right brushes... Concept could use work, needs a good focal point instead of that hardly visible planet.

I see what you're saying, thanks for the input. The planet actually isn't suppose to be the focal point, it's actually suppose to be the angels coming out of the clouds. I tried to make the planet less visible for that specific reason. For the brush I simply just messed around with the dynamics of a normal 100px brush and since I was lazy and liked how the brush looked it was the only one I used. Therefore, it gave it that effect that you were trying to explain :).

Edit: I think the word that the brushing appears as is 'repetitive'. It was bugging me in what the word was, I think that's a good way to explain it :P

Woow nice, clouds are amazing, but i would remove the sun flare if i was you, dont like that it just covers up the pieace. Its very beautiful

BTW i would realy love to know where did u learn your brush techniques for the clouds? i need some tips on that..

Mind if I use this for my wallpaper? It's for personal use only so it's not like I'm taking any sort of credit for it. Just looks amazing.

As I would say on MSN, (y). :)

Ahh well if you made your own brush then more power to you. I thought it was something you had maybe downloaded....

I see your little angels coming out, but for some reason they just aren't catching me as much as maybe they should be? Maybe if you cut out some of the stuff between the two sides of the clouds and made them more prominent? For example, take a diagonal (top left to bottom right) 50px bar and delete anything it touches. Then mush those corners together. If that makes any sense....
