aq is nice to play for half an our or so but then it gets boring

the difference is that rs is online if it wasnt people would get bored a lot easier

No game is "better" than another, its all about personal preference. I've never played adventure quest but theres probably pro's and con's of each game.

the problem with you guys is that you played it for 1 hour. i thought runescape was boring for the first few hours, but my friend said keep playing, then it got fun. i played aq for a week so i would know what i was talking about. i was so bored i can hardly remember what i was doing, fight fight fight! nothing else! it sucked so bad! play it for a while then you can say it sucks. like me :mrgreen:

Adventure quest is a cartoon and there is no multi player things. Adventure quest is good to play for a week maybe buts its not worth playing.

Adventure Quest is dumb. If your friend likes AQ, don't be friends with him. Period. Basta. End of thread.

I always admire how "heroically" the RS people try to defend RS from the snot-nosed kids who bash RS on their own little fansite. Now I look at this topic and what do I see? AQ bashing.

 

Two things I have to say. AQ is not a bad game, I play it quite often (though not as much as RS). Maybe because my char is still just level 60-ish (glad I got the refund in time :D ), maybe because there is still a lot of stuff for me to do, even in the Adventurer mode I'm on currently. Eventually, yes, it will run out and will get boring, but that's a flaw of AQ. So quit the bashing.

 

Also, TC, say to him that everyone should stick to this game and you don't give a flying rat's [wagon] if he thinks RS is crap. You let him play AQ, so he shouldn't whine about you playing RS. These people can rarely be defeated in such arguments, they stick to their game for life.

read my post, these people say it suck because they haven't otten into the game. i got into and i still thought it sucked. they've played for an hour, rs wasn't fu the first hour either.

Well, actually, that's true. It's like people who only play the tutorial island and then make a bashing review. But actually, in all honesty, I only read the posts in general, must've skipped yours accidentally :wink:

never heard of AQ based on what I'm hearing I never will try it.

It's not bad, newer monsters actually have nicer animations and the Drakels, a very common monster kind, have been recently updated too. However I won't peer-pressure you, you just might accuse me of torturing you once you quit AQ after an hour :wink:

Just punch him out and say "RS FOR LYFE!". But seriously I could imagen ever playing aq. I just hate it.

As we all know RuneScape is a first person game where we can shoot people, drive cars, run people people over and print newspapers. Oh wait it's third person and you can see your charactor i remember now.

Actually games can be "better" than each other. I have absolutely no idea how you thought that one up, but of course games can be better than each other! Most games are opinionated (e.g. World of Warcraft, EverQuest, Guild Wars), but games, let's say, for a console there can be a definite difference. For instance, some of you may know about the Xbox game Aquaman: Battle for Atlantis. In no way does this game have pro's to be said. It lacks a story, the graphics are awful and there is only one thing you do in the entire game--kill things. Then you compare that to the first Knights of the Old Republic game (which is one of the best games for the Xbox). The graphics are great, there is a definite story, and the format is excellent.

 

 

 

Now you may say that this is like comparing "apples to oranges" because the games are two totally different genres. Well that's not true. I am comparing the graphical quality, the richness of the story, and the overall format. Knights of the Old Republic is a BETTER game than Aquaman: Battle for Atlantis.

I used to play Aq, even got the guardian thing or whatever they are calling it now (the Aq version of members). TheN I found Rs, and its like finding a neverending fountain of mountain dew (or your preference of soda) in the middle of a huge desert. IMO, F2p is the best free game on the net.

adventure quest sucks the big one. its not even online play. its even more pointless than runescape...and thats pretty pointless

I've played adventurequest, and i think its terrible. and i didn't know that rs was in first person.

At the end of the day does it really matter we all know that Adventure Quest will never be as good as RuneScape and if your friend thinks that it's his opinion...
