silver_wits
OK! Since I, The Great Silver Wits, loves stories, here's an idea.... We are going to start a story... the first runescape fanfiction. [your blogs don't count, even if they are embellished!] This is how it'll go. We'll start a story about one person, who just finishes Tutorial Isle. Every post you make, you have to make a complete sentence, two, or paragraph... It must be longish. If the person above you doesn't make sense, then his/her post will be ignored. You will have to follow the laws of runescape for this one; writing that your character found 1billion gp on the ground and bought something with it, well.. while technically allowed, it is frowned upon on.. especially since the odds of that happening to anyone.... are null. We're starting out with a male character, because most of you are males, and it's really hard to type about getting hit on, all the time... really distracting. And he has no name, so you can pretend it's your character in male form. Here's the starting point. The boy felt the air swirl around him, his body melted in the air. Then he felt his feet materialize, touching the ground. He looked around, he was off the Island! There were people talking, strange and bizarre conversations going on. "And then he killed me!" one exclaimed, "my best friend killed me! I'm going to get back at him for this." He shook his head in confusion. How could someone die, yet be standing right there before him? what strange dimension had he been dropped into?
Errdoth
As the boy looked around, and absorbed he world he had so abruptly landed in, his memory came rushing back to him, and he gasped and, in those few, short moments, was in awe. He was there. Finally. After all the training, he was there. Runescape. Last.fm Signature Overlays
silver_wits
He seemed to have gotten a bit telesick. Looking around, he decided to move away from the rush of people. He walked west, and came upon a bridge. Upon crossing it, He saw the ugliest, smelliest green creature he had ever seen before. Could it be? A goblin! He attempted to kill it, however the creature wounded him; mainly using the power of scent versus the blows it laid on him. He ate the bread and shrimp he had cooked, however the goblin appeared to be winning, the rest of his food gone, he ran.
Errdoth
Once out of range of the goblin, the weather dampened, and the rain drizzled. He sought sheltered under an ancient tree. The boy saw people walk by, all heading home to various places whose names he didn't recognize. The rain pounded down as he sat in the hollow of that tree, oh, what he'd give for a fire. Alas, he scented meat being cooked, not far off, it seemed. He abandoned his hideout in pursuit of the smell. Last.fm Signature Overlays
silver_wits
He came upon a small hut, inside were the Goblins. Turning on a spit, was a chicken. The smell was intoxicating to him, his mouth watered. However, the boy's mother, Isadora, had taught him well. He didn't want to catch the goblin's germs by eating their food. He continued along the road in the drenching rain. Soon he saw a farm, with lots of chickens running about, being slaughtered by adventurers. "Hi" he said to them. They all replied "hi" to him. He took the bronze sword Vannaka had given him, along with the shield, and advanced on the chickens.
Star.
He lunged towards the helpless chicken, not so swiftly as the others around him did. The cold metal of his sword pierced through the chicken's tender flesh. A vast sea of red gushed from the open wound. The chicken attempted to resist but the attacker lunged and lunged again until there was no movement. The chicken keeled over and all that was left was the feathers, the bones, the meat and the extraordinary experience. ☢ CAUTION ☢ CAUTION ☢ CAUTION ☢ CAUTION ☢
Primeaction
after destroying the chicken, he felt bad for it and he buried the bones. he felt a little rush come to him and wasnt sure what it was. also, he felt slightly stronger. since the wounds from the goblin still hurted, he cooked the meat inside of the farmers house like others were doing and he ate it. he kept the feathers because he didnt know what to do with it and continued to kill chickens Not all F2Pers are beggars or scammers, some are respected members, but these respected people are over-populated by these beggar and scammers. silver_wits
The Rain stopped falling, he shook the water off him and looked morosely at the chicken. Sure he had killed rats, but this was diferent. Here he was, killing for food. The chicken burned. He cursed. "Hey! What's wrong" someone asked him. "My chicken burned... at this rate I'll never get enough food.." he replied. The girl looked at him consideringly. "You're just off the island?" she asked. "Yea.." "hmm.. How about if I give you some food for some feathers?" "um sure... how much?" "Well... how about, 10 feathers for 1 chicken?" The boy thought about it, it sounded reasonable, and she did look trustworthy, with her pink skirt and white princess top. "Sure" he agreed. Primeaction
after collecting about 100 chicken from the girl, he thought that was enough to live on for a while so he stopped. he felt alot stronger and alot more holy :P he wanted to move on to the cows. he walks to the cowpen not far by and starts attacking cows. as he starts, he notices that his bronze weapon barely penetrates the cow and figues he needs a new, stronger, better weapon. he wonders how to get a weapon of this kind Not all F2Pers are beggars or scammers, some are respected members, but these respected people are over-populated by these beggar and scammers. silver_wits
"Hey, do you know where i can get weapons from?" he asks anyone that crosses his path. Some people ignore him, whilst others make fun of him and call him a noob. He has no idea what a noob means. Maybe it's a guy that likes kaki shorts he wonders ruefully, glanceing down at himself. He's proven wrong when someone wearing rune plated armour is called a noob for no reason at all. Then he makes another friend. He tells him in a matter of fact voice that since he has no money, and it's illegal to beg [simon, his new friend, tells him that Varrock's guards will arrest him if he begs for stuff], he must smith. Star.
He tried to recall the methods of Smithing. His memory wondered back to the early beginning where he was talking to the mining instructor. The item he needed was his bronze pickaxe which was currently stored in his bank and a location to mine ore in. Before heading towards Lumbridge's bank, he crossed the sturdy bridge and entered the General Store to purchase a Newcomer's Map. "Hi, can I do anything for you?" Inquired the shop assistant. "I'm looking for something to buy," he replied. The shop assistant showed him the items that were available. He noticed the map and saw that it was worth 20gp, but he didn't have any money in his possesion. ☢ CAUTION ☢ CAUTION ☢ CAUTION ☢ CAUTION ☢
silver_wits
Feeling down, he went out of the shop empty handed. The young shop's assistant felt sorry for him and told him in a whisper that if he wanted money, he could always go kill the couple that lived in a hut to the east of the shop. So he did. He killed the woman first, the man took no notice. The boy wondered about the couple's relationship. And while he did feel some remorse in killing the woman, he felt none while killing the man. Then... Lo and behold! A few moments later, the woman and man appeared. acting as if nothing had happened. The boy then felt nothing in killing them. Obviously someone out there wanted him to get used to killing things, so they made all things respawn. This was after the magical land of Runescape. or is it RunEscape? RunesCape maybe. VurtualRuler98
Upon continuing the killing, he collected enogh coins to get the map with much money left over. He hurried back to the store buying the map, and he saw just recently sold to the store, a shining steel sword! He bought it but he soon found out he was not skilled enough to properly use it, so he continued killing chickens to better his skill. Sir, the Panzerschreck squad is blocking the road! silver_wits
Finally.. He could weild the steel sword. He went on a cow killing spree. However, he soon noted that the cows did a lot of damage to him, even through his sturdy wooden shield. "Hey! why don't you train your defence up?" One of his new friends asked him. "why would I want to do that for?" he asked puzzled. "Because.. If you train your defence up, you won't get hit by the cows much..." His friend answered. "And, if your defence level is high enough, you'll be able to wear good armour!" "Armour like that?" he asked, pointing at a very very very high leveled adventurer wearing a dragon skirt. "yep..." his friend answered. The boy started training his defence.
Star.
He trained eargerly as he aspired to wear that awesome armor that he had seen before. After gaining more experiance, he was ready to wear mithril armor and with the cowhides he had collected, he would have enough money to purchase the required items. He decided to head towards the great city of Varrock to search for Merchants that sold Armor. He brought out his map and and went to embark on a short journey towards Varrock. ☢ CAUTION ☢ CAUTION ☢ CAUTION ☢ CAUTION ☢
silver_wits
He followed the road north. Along the way he passed a farmer. He killed the farmer. The boy as the boy neared a fence, he noticed that there a break in it, enough to jump over. He could also walk along the road and waste time. He obviously decided to jump over the fence. However, he was unable to. Saddened, the boy walked all the way around the fence.

Lenticular_J
He walked along the path, and came to a fork. He was not sure which way to go, so he guessed east. He followed the path, and some some ruins-and other players! "Hi!" he shouted. "Get out of the way!" An adventurer in shiny black dragonhide (I dunno, free to play and pay to play have come together : ) knocked him down. A small ball of flame flew past. "Um..Thanks." "Np." Unsure as to what "np" meant, our adventurer wandered into the majestic cty..of Varrock! catch it now so you can like it before it went so mainstream

silver_wits
Varrock was a busy place! There was a massasive amount of people. More than in Lumbridge. The boy's head swam. He was not used to crowds like this. He stepped into pavollian. There was a gypsy, a very old one, she wanted to know if he wanted his fortune told. The boy's mother had told him long ago, when he was very young, that all fortune tellers were frauds. He had to make a decision... PS.. thanks for bumping.. Lenticular_J
"No thanks." he politely told her. She wrapped her shawl around her and cooed, "Well, you'll be back...It is your destiny." Our hero wandered and eventually came near a bank. "Selling cowhides!" he shouted. A tall man came up to him, and told him that they would meet to the north, just past a ditch. An hour later, our hero found himself in a frightening, death-filled place. People all around him were dying, and he came close himself. "Now!!" Our hero froze, and could feel himself dying. He saw the tall stranger laugh evilly and walk towards him, a frightening blade in his hand. All of a sudden, three arrows pieced his chest. "God, kid, don't you know to keep out of the Wilderness?!" its was the man with the shiny black dragonhide. "Come on, let's get you out of here." The man took him back to Varrock, and helped him sell his cowhides. He had earned enough for even more than full mithril! And, what's more, the friendly man started teaching him the basics of ranged fighting! Soon, our hero energed from the Varrock sewers drenched in blood, and filled with experience and wisdom. As a gift, his new friend-Select A Use (Muahahaha, I have stolen a random Tipiter  !), gave him a gift-A new oaken bow, some leather armor, a quiver of steel arrows, and a magnificent sword of Adamantite!!! Although he wasn't quite skilled enough for it, it was a grand gift all the same. Select showed him to an Inn, where they prepared to stay the night. Whew, longggg post. Primeaction
As the next day rose, the hero woke up to someone shouting, "Where is the wizard tower?" The hero wondered about this as well. He never really worked on his magic and thought that someone at the tower could help him. He met up with his friend with the black dragon hide and he told him about a quest. He heard of quests before but never really thought about them. So, he decided to go forth with his very first quest. So his friend told him to speak to the Duke of Lumbridge for more info. He led him to the castle where the duke was and he said, "This is the end of the road for me. You have to do this quest on your own now." And with those words, he vanished but he left a note saying how to contact him. Our hero enters the castle........... silver_wits
Duke Horacio gives the boy a strange talisman. It was gray with some strange white markings on it. He was to take this object to the Wizard Seridor. The boy went do the cow pasture east of Lumbridge, "Hey! does anyone know where Wizard Seridor is" Eventually someone either took pity on him, or got fed up with him talking so much. "He's in the Wizard tower!" "where's that?" The girl sighed audiblly and replied, "Follow me." She led him west of the Lumbridge Castle, where goblins and spiders prowled. There was a trap door protected by some faded old walls, but she paid no attention to it, walking straight past it. The Boy hurried to keep up with her, she sure could run fast... "Stop!" he panted, " I can't run anymore!" the girl just rolled her eyes, but slowed down to a regular walking pace. Soon, they reached Draynor Village, but instead of entering it, she just turned and walked south, on a road, leading to a bridge. "If you continue on, you'll find the wizard tower, Seridor resides there" she said. "I must leave you here." She turned and walked away. The boy ran to the wizard's tower. After looking through the first, second and third floors he didn't find the wizard.... Hopeless, he decided to go down and check again, he noticed a trapdoor. He entered it. There was the wizard. He and the Wizard talked for a bit. Apparantly the strange Talisman was really important. He was given a package to give to Aubery. The boy had no idea who this Aubery was. He did know that Aubery was in Varrock, where he had no idea. Just then an idea struck him. He could ask the girl for help. She seemed like a helper. "hi" he private messaged her. "hi" she replied back, warily. "you wouldn't happen to know where Aubery is, would you?" "I suggest you check the !@*/ knowledge base" she replied. Then logged off. Lenticular_J
I don't know why, but this seems hard :? Sigh...Oh well, that's what writers do! Our hero thought hard, and remembered seeing hundreds of people, all looking alike, running towards a small shop in Varrock. So, he journeyed back, and josteled amongst the silent moustaschioed folks. People were calling them noobs, **** autoers, and butt munches, but he found no reason why. Finally, he got to the owner of the shop. Aubury! catch it now so you can like it before it went so mainstream
