Does anyone know the sort of drop rate of black masks from cave horrors? Also, I know it gives a +15% bonus to attack and strength on slayer tasks, does that bonus stack with things like attack and str pots?

This question has been bugging me too (the drop rate that is).

 

I've currently killed over 1000 cave horrors and still haven't got a single black mask.

Is is fairly random.

 

 

 

I've done over 800 so far....no Mask Drop.

It sounds to be a pretty rare drop then, how about the bonuses, does anyone know?

Last week I got 2 masks within an hour and haven't had anything since.

 

 

 

I did make over 800k on snapdragon seeds though. :P

I've had the task of 150ish horrors about 6 or 7 times in total, and never gotten one, so they are pretty rare..

 

As far as stacking bonuses, they DO stack with potions/prayer, but don't stack with the Salve amulet when fighting Undead.

I have had about 3-4 mask drops so far, 2 when I camped with about 2000 steel arrows. Thats when I first qualified to kill cave horrors and couldn't afford to buy a mask. I'd say I've killed about 1000 total, but not sure. It is a fairly rare drop - it wouldn't be 500k if it wasn't.

 

 

 

That said, between the lvl 3 clue scrolls, ranarr and snapdragon seeds, noted teak logs, and a good rate of nats being dropped, they are fairly good money. My last slayer task I did not get any masks, but made 700k from seeds and clue rewards.

 

 

 

Bonuses do stack, Im hitting 28 with a whip, mask, and combat pot at 74 str.

Hm, I thought that Mask + Salve DID stack.

I'd Say 1,000-1,500 from friends who say they got masks

imo cave horrors are the best moneymaking monsters to kill (well there is KQ). they drop lelvel 3 clues very often compared to other monsters, and other drops are good too

Hm, I thought that Mask + Salve DID stack.

 

I'm sure they don't, Jagex said it at the release.
