Xeones
I need to get my Mining to 52, Smithing to 50, and Ranged to 70. I will mine 2k iron ore, smelt them, and smith them. I can smith them into either 10k knives or 20k dart tips. Knives will give me more ranged bonus, but i will have double if I made darts. 20k dart tips + 20k feathers = massive fletching exp as a side bonus... I'm thinking Darts, what do you think? Roberthree
Darts > Knifes Always, they are alot cheaper and easier to make. The difference in xp is very small.
Nairage
If you want the ranged xp, do knifes. If you want the fletching xp, do darts. Click on my stats for my no ppot barrows guide
Xeones
I want ranged xp more, but wouldnt 20k darts be better than 10k knives??? also, what offhand do i wear while training ranged?
nerdattack16
Go with darts, I'd say. Wield a unholy book or book of balance, as those are pretty much the only shields that give range bonus. If you don't have those, then wear something that doesn't lower your attack bonus. Sig credit goes to ThruItAll. :D
kickbuta
Personally I'd pick darts, And you wear dragon hides, with archer helm, avas backpack thing and maybe some snakeskin boots too.
Celestrana
Darts require the extra step of flighting them while knives are good to go once made. Ava's Attractor works for both. For you off-hand item, use whatever suits the situation: anti-dragon shield, a defender, a God Book, a sq. shield, a kiteshield, etc. Knowledge is Power; a Tip.it guide answers many commonly asked questions.~Celestrana: Making of a Hero ~ (Visit my blog, today!) Xeones
Blue Dragonhide Body Blue Dragonhide Chaps Blue Dragonhide Vambraces Archer Helm Ava's Accumulator Amulet of Glory 20k Iron Darts Book of Zamorak Rune Boots (are these OK?) Ring of Wealth Sounds good, then. The Fletching exp for iron darts is 38. This is 38 exp for 10 darts, right? not each dart is 38 exp? cuz that would be awesome exp =p
Arty
Darts, darts, darts. For darts and knives, Iron knives only have a +1 range bonus advantage over darts. Oh and you make more money selling the darts since you make double. I forgot how much you sell them for. Knives have a longer range though, and the range bonus for higher grade level knives are alot higher than darts. But not iron.

I'd suggest wearing something that doesn't lower your range if you're safing them, though, like ranger, snakeskin, or normal boots. Then again, it's only a -2 decrease, so it's not a hue deal. The rest of your equipment looks good. Have fun using all those darts... :P And yeah, pretty sure it's 38 EXP for every 10 darts. curmudgeony
I've found darts a bit harder to sell vs. knives
Xeones
Rune Boots give only -1 Ranged Attack, so they shouldn't be a problem. I'm using, not selling, the darts. Where should I train???
