Thanks for the answer. It sounds like getting the prayer levels wasn't such a great idea in hindsight. Is there anything I can do with his stats assuming I get p2p in the future? Surely there are p2p builds that comprise higher level prayer stats.

Hmm tough question. I think getting, let's say, 5 attack levels first would make the 5 strength levels easier than vice-versa, but I have nothing to back that up. If I were you I'd alternate every 3-5 levels to be safe. Hopefully someone will come along with a better answer because I'm interested too.

In short, I have an f2p pure with 40/64/1 melees, 54 hp, 31 prayer, 26 mage (going to get up), and 40 range. Combat level 51 Right now I'm holding my own against range 2h-ers, but I still feel at a slight disadvantage with the prayer. So here are the questions. 1) At what strength level does 31 prayer give me an advantage over other similar builds? 2) If I turn this guy p2p, what would be some good builds? I don't mind putting effort into a solid build, but I would prefer not to aim for endgame 90+ stats considering I still want to spend the majority of my time on my main. Right now I'm thinking of a gmauler. Thanks

As no one has bothered to answer, side stepping is very easy. I don't even want to call it a "technique", basically you get the melee brothers "stuck" on a corner.. I forget which NSEW directions work (it's been 4 years), but if you toy around for a few minutes you'll get used to it.

What do you suggest to do with mage?

Sorry mayd, though I don't like comp very much, he has a point, and you are making yourself look kind of dumb. Part of ranting is presenting a bit of an argument against something.

IDK, untrimmed cooking is much more rare than fletching... maybe a 3 way tie between fletch/cook/str?

Who cares what others think about you? It is always good to have a high self esteem, so you can say "screw you" (pardon my language) to anyone who thinks you are a nerd for playing such a game. As someone in this thread said earlier, you are at the point in you life where what others think of you is important. As you grow, that becomes less important. For the most part, being able to take all the crap people give you, and telling yourself they are stupid enough to insult others for no reason, is a valuable skill to possess. "Nairage, maybe in hindsight you may be able to say this, but it is much harder as a teenager these days". I'm 14, and I've been through all this. Again, if someone asks if you play Runescape, be honest and say yes. If they stop being your friend/ start being mean to you, who cares what your 7th/8th grade peers think of you? You probably won't see them again as you get older.

Not sure if this has been said: maybe RS has a day/ few days dedicated to a "username change". Everyone is allowed to change their username to anything not chosen yet- but if they do not wish to choose it they do not have to. Also, the people on your friends/ignore list would not have to be re-added, their name would be automatically changed I, for one, created my username nairage a few years back, and it seems a bit childish to me now. However, I do not believe this will happen, as changing over 1,000,000 people's names at the same time would be near impossible to do..

I'de rather tolerate the bots than have the trade limit.. but what can you do? It is over and done with, and though I liked the old RS better, you have to accept the changes in stride.

If I may step in here and say something- comp, you seriously need to get your rates back. You can't base a whole thread on factual information, and lack the rates yourself to prove something. Calculations =/= rates; you are contradicting yourself. You tell others they have to do 1000's of tasks, yet you don't supply data of tasks you did to prove slayer is wrong. Again, you DO need to justify your personal rates if you are going to have a factual debate (debate forum pl0x? :P). If you could care less if people agree or don't agree with you, then it is being ignorant not to succeed to someone else's tests. If everyone disagrees but you, how is it your place to decide that everyone else is wrong, and you are right? much funner... lol :P

No mate, all I am saying is that the content of this thread is similar in structure to a debating thread. Really, I am not condemning you for providing factual information that persuades the people who read this thread. In fact, I would prefer that all threads include as much information and thought put into them as yours. I am just merely saying that with so much information provided and debates occurring, this is more of a debate thread. Not that it matters. I really don't care what forum it is in, phone, and the point I was trying to make isn't very significant at all. Again, I am not insulting your thread/ argument in any way, I was merely questioning if it was placed in the right forum.
