As we all know, Jagex* staff will only contact you via Mail Inbox on RuneScape's index. But, can your friends contact YOU when you're not on? My idea is, we should be able to have an Ingame Friend Inbox, (or IFI, pronounced: Iffee) The maximum compacity of 'mail' you can get in your friends box is 10, so it's basically un-spammable. : The SPAM inbox holds all the mail from people you have put into SPAM settings. Whilst the Normal one holds friends mail, and the unknown sender one holds, well... Unknown senders. You can edit your settings to make it that any sender can send into your normal box. (Spam inbox holds 30 letters . Unknown Sender inbox also holds a maximum of 10.) The unknown sender will be from people you don't know, but if it's spam, you enter their name to get put into the spam box. Pictures: This is the actual mailed letter opened: This is the tab for it: Main entry: (Members Only) Members Out-Game Inbox: (Holds 50 messages, and sender has option of where to send it (In-Game/Out-Game)) Frequently Asked Questions: None at this time. Also, shouldn't you be able to "block" mail from people you don't know? that way your 10 messeges don't get eaten up. So it should be like this: Private chat: on - accept all messeges Private chat: friends - accept only friend's messeges* Private chat: off - * Good idea though. A few suggestions: make it be similar to an E-Mail, in that if you add people to the spam list, you can, obvious, remove them, and if you add them, their messages are automatically deleted, so it doesn't take up space(you can toggle this for each person you add, so you can still see it if you want). Second, I think the number of messages is too little, and so I propose that each category(friends, unknown, and spam) gets a bump to 25 messages each, so that you can have a total of 75 messages. Third, I propose that you have more options like an E-Mail account, like an option to automatically delete messages that are 'x' days old. Or messages that you check off, you can delete without even reading them. Any questions on any of these, and I'll be happy to explain. I think the overall concept is good. In fact only 10 minutes ago I created a topic on the same sort of thing. Next time I'll read first. It could be implemented a number of different ways, but essentially it can be seen as in-game email or queued messaging. Preventing spam messages would be the key thing to make it a good system. Maybe limiting you to only messaging to someone when you're on their friends list is the easy way to ensure this??
