1 - You vigorously deny the existence of thousands of gods claimed by other religions, but feel outraged when someone denies the existence of yours.

 

 

 

2 - You feel insulted and "dehumanized" when scientists say that people evolved from other life forms, but you have no problem with the Biblical claim that we were created from dirt.

 

 

 

3 - You laugh at polytheists, but you have no problem believing in a Triune God.

 

 

 

4 - Your face turns purple when you hear of the "atrocities" attributed to Allah, but you don't even flinch when hearing about how God/Jehovah slaughtered all the babies of Egypt in "Exodus" and ordered the elimination of entire ethnic groups in "Joshua" including women, children, and trees!

 

 

 

5 - You laugh at Hindu beliefs that deify humans, and Greek claims about gods sleeping with women, but you have no problem believing that the Holy Spirit impregnated Mary, who then gave birth to a man-god who got killed, came back to life and then ascended into the sky.

 

 

 

6 - You are willing to spend your life looking for little loopholes in the scientifically established age of Earth (few billion years), but you find nothing wrong with believing dates recorded by Bronze Age tribesmen sitting in their tents and guessing that Earth is a few generations old.

 

 

 

7 - You believe that the entire population of this planet with the exception of those who share your beliefs -- though excluding those in all rival sects - will spend Eternity in an infinite Hell of Suffering. And yet consider your religion the most "tolerant" and "loving."

I thought that killing someone is against Christ, and I thought that the bible sayed "if you hate your family" or something like that, "you cannot be my disciple" Now I see that she wanted to save them, but she just killed her sons! And for what reason, this dream she got that isn't even real, and she didn't even know if her babys would even become gay. And If they did, whats wrong with that? They grew up like that And they didn't have a Choice.

Just because one idiot woman does something controvercial, doesnt mean every christian is the same. even if we knew our family would grow to be gay, we probably won't kill them for it. besides, how do we know she actually did hear from god? she could be some lunatic who thinks god spoke to her. do you have any evidence that this woman did hear from god or that her kids would grow up to be gay? i would think not.

i being on the fence of the whole atheist-fundamilist debate thinks there can be a compromise. oh yes, there was evolution. but those christians debate it because the world was created in a day. but genesis days were based on the israeli work days. a day in the creation could have been millions of years. thus we could have been created from dust, then evolved and become humans in one "day"

one thing to point out is the bible is not a textbook. its more symbolism on how to live a good life than actual facts. contrary to popular belief, noahs ark is more of a symbol to god's saving hand than the atrocities of mass killing by god drowning the people. want a hint? look at what water frequently symbolizes in the bible., then compare it to the flood.

Thats probably because people only pray to god when they need it. do we hear constant prayers of thanks to god each day for a day gone well? no, we only hear prayers "god, please help me win the lottery. help my son win the football game. help me with this, help with that." etc. if you only pray to god when its convenient to you, he'll only answer them if its convenient to him. cant take time out of your day to just thank god for life? why should he take time out of his day to answer your hypocritical petty excuses for a devote christian prayer?

1. There is purpose to athiests lives, to live it to the full and cherish every moment since it's the one life they get. Whereas christians can simply say sorry after all their past wrong-doings and be magically lifted to heaven.
